Twin Air Mattress: Anyone fit one into a 2 Queen room at CSR? My DS is a kicker.

Also: I have read conflicting reports on whether or not CSR has roll away beds- can anyone confirm this? If so is the rental $15 a night- b/c if it is I'll just bring the air mattress instead- we are driving.

DBF and I are staying Feb 15-18th!!!

We are debating about adding the business club king room instead of a normal king room but still had some questions about it if anyone has stayed...

Do you have access to the lounge from 7-10 even though the food options are only offered till 10am and from 5-10pm?

I saw in one website that you get turn-down service..is that true?

For an extra $20 a day, it seems like a good option and would cover breakfast alone plus 9B is a great building to be in!

Yes, a twin air mattress fits just fine at the end of the bed. We use one all the time when we travel to CSR and just stand it up in the corner by the window during the day while we are at the parks. That way, mousekeeping can vacuum the room. I wouldn't bother with a roll away bed at that cost since it will just be in the way and you will have less floor space.

Thanks Jojo- that's what we are going with- air mattress. I appreciate all the help from everyone who has responded to- both in PM with a link to pics, to pricing info, to how it fits.
Have a great trip everyone!

I have a ? about handicapped rooms. We are bringing my mom w us. She will have a scooter. I was wondering if i request a handicapped room are they larger to fit the scooter? Also do they have just a shower? I have 2 little ones that like baths not showers. So really need a tub. TIA

Hmmm....I was going to book a CBR pirate room for our Sept. family trip, but after looking through this thread I think I am going to switch to CSR. The rooms have the same muted look that we like about the pirate rooms without the extra $40 a night price tag. The pool looks nice too, even if CBR has the better kids splash pool.

My question that I didn't see here (or very easily missed) is there ample parking by the main building where the restaurant is? We will have a vehicle and after reading about the long walk, we might want to drive over there on our way to the parks for breakfast to save about a half hour roundtrip walk. I don't see myself paying for a preferred room.

Yes, there is ample parking at the front of the building. I would not pay for a preferred room either.

We will be doing our first mini WDW trip in May, staying at CSR after a few days at the beach. We will want to return our National Rental Car after we get checked in.

From CSR, which National drop off location is best: Dolphin, Car Care Center, or Shades of Green?

Thanks!

Dolphin is closest.

In response to the handicapped rooms. There are 2 types of handicapped rooms. One has a roll in shower, and the other has a much larger bathroom, a bathtub shower combination with a hand held shower wand and handrails. The extra room in the bathroom is wonderful for ease of movement. My scooter fit fine in front of the window - we just moved the ottoman out of the way. The rooms, however, are not any larger. You will find it just fine. Have a great time!

sorry to double post - I still cannot figure out how to answer with the original post. Perhaps I did it correctly this time.

There is a Mustang enthusiast convention from the end of August with rooms blocked out through September 5th. I'd post a link but I can't from my smart phone.

There is also a dance convention at CSR June 30t through July 3rd. Hollywood Vibe Dance nationals. We are coming for this and just wanted to update everyone.:)

What kinds of pastries do they have at Cafe Rix lately? We were there 2 years ago and I can't remember what they had then. Do they have pain chocolat or chocolate croissants?

Is the ALDC going to be there? ;)

I will! A good friend of mine is a room assigner at the resort and said she's hearing a lot of positive feedback about the club and it's offerings! I'm glad they have a club level that's not at the same price point at the deluxe resorts! We are excited to try it and I will give a full report!

I booked a Preferred Room for our upcoming trip. I have read this thread but getting more ad more confused. Will we be close to the first or second bus stop and/or main pool? That is what we are looking for. If I have made a mistake can I call and switch? Thanks so much. I am a total newbie and I have been trying to read up on as much as I can to help us out.

According to Buzz's site, Casitas 1, 2, and 3 are the preferred rooms at CSR.

A preferred room puts you in Casita 1, 2 or 3 which is close to the main building where registration, Pepper Market, Cafe Rix, Rix Lounge and the Gift Shop, Panchitos, are located. The main pool is across the lake from Casitas 1, 2 and 3. Casitas 4, which is about a four minute walk from there, is where you will find the Casitas Quiet Pool and the fitness center/spa. As you will be near the main building being in a preferred room, you will be closer to Bus Stop 1 which is the last bus stop picked up for the parks (although it is the first stop for Downtown Disney).
