Wonder getting REPO'ed to Vancouver!: May 20th, 2013 Official Thread!

VGT is a guaranteed veranda cabin. We won't know what cabin we are in until DCL assigns one, which could happen as late as the date of sailing, but we are guaranteed to be in a veranda cabin.
When speaking with CM at DCL this afternoon, was told that our repo cruise also has cat. 9C GTY offer. Not a huge discount but worth looking into to see if anyone an save some money. I need a BIG discount, like AP discount. {need some Pixie Dust!!}

We are jumping ship to the *GT rates on the Panama Canal. Enjoy the west coast repo!
Lucky folks! I wish I could go on the PC cruise. 2 weeks on the ship would be like heaven! No way we could ever go when it is during the school year.

The rate was just too good to pass up. I'm missing a week of grad school, my SIL and our DDs two weeks. It's easier for our DD than hers though because our DD goes to a Montessori school and they are very supportive of the hands-on experience. We are going to create a work/playbook for her customized to the cruise ship and its port for her to fill out and bring back to her class. Hoping to include stuff from the clubs as well; there was so much she did on our MR in there in addition to the ports. We were going to do the same thing for this cruise because she still would have missed a week of school.

Does anyone know if there is a speicfic time we have to come back on the night we are in San Francisco? Are we allow to go in and out in the middle of the night?

We are planning to go to ATT Park on Wednesday May22 at 12:45 and watch our SF Giants play the WA Nationals! We are lifelong fans and wonder if anyone would like to spend a day at the most beautiful ballpark ever, and cheer on our World Series champs... anyone up for it? Aloha, Karen and Ron

That would be a great idea.:dance3: How are you going to get the tickets.:jumping1::jumping1:E-Mail me, we would like to go.

The ship is open all night so you can come and go as you please.

My husband, son (5), daughter(3) and I will be on the Pacific Coast cruise in May. This will be our second cruise with Disney. I noticed that a couple of you are from California. I have questions regarding car seats in California. I had read in the PassPorter's cruise guide that car seats are required even on buses and shuttles in California. If that is correct, does that include taxi's as well? I have one little one that is still in the 5 pt harness car seat and it is a beast to lug around. It will be bad enough to fly with it and store it in our cabin but what about when we are in SanFransisco? If anyone can give me advice on California laws that would be great.

Welcome on board

Have fun.

Same here ... Those rates were too good to pass up, and a vacation in early May instead of late May works much better with DH's work schedule. Have fun!

FWIW, I sent an email to Buckets and Boards asking if they would be on the WBPC. They said they're boarding during our cruise in PV and staying on through the West Coast Repo until San Francisco. Hope that helps folks plan schedules a little bit!

I am sorry that we won't get to meet, but have fun on your cruise. I am keeping my fingers crossed for deals for the September Panama Canal Cruise.

Hello everyone,
We will be joining you all on this cruise...This will be our 4th Disney Cruise, 2nd on the Wonder. We are DVC members as well....:sail:.....in cabin 1 will be my wife and I, and in cabin 2 will be my son, daughter in law, and granddaughter....

And grandson! You forgot about that little guy. Lol!

We had booked this cruise last February while on the Magic but school is getting in the way :sad2: so we switched our reservation to a back-to-back on the Wonder out of Miami in April 2014. So, if someone needs it or would like to look into it, one of the aft accessible rooms on Deck 7 is available - or was as of yesterday. Have a great cruise, everyone!!

I am sorry that we don't get to meet you, but a back to back on the Wonder out of Miami sounds wonderful, too.

Can anyone pass on thier plans on how they're getting from LAX to DL and then to the port? We're arriving Saturday at LAX, and would like to rent a car to go to the El Capitan that afternoon. We're planning on going to DCA on Sunday, and then will need to get to the port Monday morning.
Thanks - I know there are lots of options - just wondering how others have done this before - quickly, inexpensively, and safely.
We've just booked recentlyh, so are scrambling to work out the details.

We will probably be trying to rent a car from the airport for one day, and would really like to find out if there's a rental company that would let me return it either at DL or, optimally, close to the port.
One option is to shuttle from the airport to DL, pick up and return a one day rental there, and then take another shuttle to the port.
Another is to do a one way car rental, but so far I haven't been able to find any that are reasonable.

Sorry - I should introduce myself. I'm a mature woman from the DC area who will be taking my second DCL cruise, traveling with my BFF.

I remember one way car rental is super expensive in LA, unlike in Orlando.

I may have to absorb the cost, though, since without a car I couldn't get chicken and waffles at Roscoe's before we leave LA. I see they've got a location in Long Beach - breakfast there on Monday would certainly see me through boarding!

I just checked their website - there is a Roscoe's coming to Anaheim! That will make things easier for the next trip.
