We are panning a trip for September 2013. In November we stayed at CBR. we had a great time but would like to stay somewhere new. If they off free dining we will stay at another moderate resort. What are your recommendations? If we don't get free dining we will probably stay at a value - I'm thinking all star movies. It is myself, DH, DS1, and DS5. What do you think?

We enjoyed Coronado Springs more than CB. I loved the fact we had queen beds. The pool is great. It is lovely at night, and the buses ran wonderfully.

I also think Port Orleans Riverside is very relaxing looking place. But the queen beds would still get me to stay @ CSR.

As far as a value goes, Pop and AOA look great. We have only dined there because there counterservice areas are great.

Enjoy your trip whereever u choose.

I have stayed at all of the moderates except CBR. My favorite is Port Orleans French Quarter and Coronado Springs is second. They are quite different. I love the queen beds at CS, but it is much more spread out than POFQ, so it really depends on your preference. If queen beds are more important to you then you may want to check out CS. If you want a smaller resort then maybe check out POFQ.
As for the values I am pretty much echoing what the poster above recommended. My favorite is POP, but the new AOA is pretty nice, too. I can't really give a valid opinion on the All Star's since I haven't stayed at those in a while.

I think CBR is the only moderate that still has full size beds. The others all have queen. POR is the most recently renovated and the boat to DTD is nice.

If you are staying moderate I would definitely stay at POFQ. Small resort, so no building is really too far from anything.

Does anyone know if any of the pools at these resorts have zero-entry? My DS who will be 2 at the time is kind of a wild man and I'd feel better about him being in ankle deep water than on a step!

Not zero entry.... But my guess is You'll probably love POFQ, although It's our 3rd favorite out of the 4 mods.....

CSR to us is by far the best mod followed by POR, then POFQ & CBR a distant 4th..
Value wise I would try PoP century over the ASM & sports. What about AoA????

If you'd like to look into going up to Deluxe, Possibly YC & BC, or try thr BCV maybe renting points....It'll only be a lil more than if you paid cash for moderate.. Although the Stormalong bay pool is huge, both your kids can stay in the smaller area where the pool is shallow , and play in the sand area ( in and out of the pool too ) Worth a shot...Check the pricing & run the numbers, only you can judge what you're comfortable payin...Good Luck:thumbsup2

My three favorites:
1) Boardwalk
2) Port Orleans Riverside
3) Polynesian

I would stay at others, but I would choose these over all others and would only stay somewhere else if I had to.
