I love my TA... Just was able to snag the last 5E! i am feeling pretty good right now! (Matt on the other hand is really mad at the niners :-/)

We're 5E,too! 9674, very excited about the bigger verandah. :)

Just off the Jan. 12-19th Fantasy Eastern...one word...AMAZING!

We are booked with several others from that cruise for the Jan. 4 2014 sailing. Our cabins are 7682 and 7681...veranda for Dave and I, inside cabin for the teenage daughters! Dave and I were in cabin 7686 this last week...I took photos so as soon as I figure out how to, I will post them.

Count us in on the fish extender...based on our experience this last cruise, a group of twenty cabins or less is ideal because of the size of the ship. That kept it fun and not a chore to have two smaller groups. :)

Pr1ncess, you will be right above us... we are in 8684! I too am excited about the larger balcony!

Welcome to all the new people, can't wait to meet everyone...keeping the FE to groups of 20 cabins sounds pretty good to me to.

4mousefans welcome! I would love to hear about your recent Fantasy trip! It's nice that now you will be doing Fantasy Western route.

Another fellow cruiser started a thread on the general DCL board and provided their thoughts...I added ours as well. :) We had a wonderful time and are already counting the days until we can return. If money was no option, we would LIVE on a Disney cruise ship!!:rotfl2:

Welcome to our roll call, 4mousefans! We are in Cat 4A, 9600 and 9602.

I was thinking about trying a port upgrade to concierge. Think the concierge deck is worth it?

I've never been in concierge or known anyone who has been, but I would love to try it some day!
Let me know what you discover!

I would expect that concierge would be amazing. For the right price it would be an awesome experience! I have stayed concierge at the Grand Californian and it was amazing! A little different than the cruise concierge, but still an amazing experience. Concierge on the cruise would be awesome, I will certainly do that one day!

I've stayed hotel concierge before. It's ok. I just remembered why I shouldn't do it....extra concierge tips, lol!

Those extra tips could be killer!!! :-)

Yup! I've read threads on it. I'm pretty much only interested in the concierge deck. The rest I could do without. I'm wondering of the concierge deck experience is worth it. Probably not.

Glad to have you sailing with us. How was the weather (and water) during a January cruise?

If you are just looking into the exclusive deck... Maybe rather than spending all the money for concierge you could buy a spa pass and still feel that slightly exclusive "have to pay to be in there" feeling! Lol... I'm seriously contemplating the spa pass, I just have to make sure I would use it daily.... Sounds like a nice routine to me! Saunas and stone lounges.

Awesome idea! The classics don't have jacuzzis in the rainforest room but the new ships do. That's pretty much what I need. Thx for the reminder. I've only been on the classics. I'm definitely getting a spa pass as soon as I board.

As we get closer I'm hoping to link reservations for dinner with another family. I'm traveling solo with my son and its always better to sit with another family or at a big table. Anyone interested in sitting at a big table together? Any other solo parents traveling?

:jumping1: Yayyyy! We're going too! We were just on the 1/12/13 Fantasy and rebooked on board for the same week next year, but decided to go a week earlier. It's me, DH and DS's (21) and (19 at time of sailing), and my Mom and Dad. This will be our 7th (Whooo hoooo!!!) Disney Cruise! It's so hard leaving that ship, but it sure feels good to know we're going back. We'll bow out of the FE's though. We heard stories of items being stolen - so sad. Plus, I have zero creativity - ha! Let's make this year fly by!!!! :jumping1:

Thank you! Most of our cruises have been in the winter months and we love it! Not as much humidity and the temps were perfect! Low to mid 80's every day except Castaway Cay day - overcast and cool all morning (cool for a Californian - lol). Didn't need a jacket, but the water was freezing to our thin blood! lol We had a cabana on the Adult beach and saw three swimmers in the ocean :thumbsup2 It cleared up beautifully by 2:00 and was just perfect after that. We didn't see as many people in the water on the family side as we usually do. We were bummed because all the excursions were cancelled that day due to the winds, which felt like a slight breeze to us high desert Californians!

:thumbsup2 Thanks for your observations :flower3:

We picked this date because it worked out best for DD's school schedule (college). My DH and i sailed the first "official" Eastern on the Fantasy in April 2012 and enjoyed the weather. I sailed the Eastern again in September and wanted to die :crazy2: from the humidity! :upsidedow Still enjoyed the ship though :boat: I'm sure we'll be just fine.... just like to hear others experiences.

Welcome to our cruise...less than a year now! We're practically neighbors. I'm in Porter Ranch.:cool1: Nice to hear the weather is good in January.
