DCL & Other Disney Ringtones I created

Love these! Now I have to figure out how to get them on my phone - or wait until my teenage son gets up and does it for me! :rotfl2:

Which part of the song? There's a few parts that could be a ringtone, just depends on which part you like.

Oh I don't know which part...I like the part when that leads up to when the sing under the sea and the instrument part after.

That song makes me happy!:goodvibes

Is there ANY possible way we could locate the sound when you go up to Mickey and Donald and their heads of their costumes make the kiss sound? I would seriously cry for that as a text tone.

Or possibly the beginning of The Sorceror's Apprentice?

These are so awesome you guys are great:thumbsup2

If anyone is able to help ...

I have an iPhone 4s. I have downloaded the files to my iTunes library, and then dragged them onto my phone icon.

They appear in the music file on my phone. But how do I set one as the ringtone and the other for my alerts? I see a reference earlier to them appearing in Tones, but I don't know where that is?

I so love the idea of having a little bit of Disney by my side.

Thanks so much.

1. Go to settings on your phone

2. Selects sounds.

3. Them select Ringtone. All of your ringtones should be listed there.

Thanks -- I look there and all I see are the factory pre-set ones. My DCL stuff resides in music, which I suspect is the problem.

Any idea how they get into Tones instead?

For and iPhone you need to make sure that the ringtone has the apropriate suffix (.m4r I believe). Then drag the ringtones to the ringtone folder in iTunes. Upon synching, you have access to them.

Thanks. I see that the ringtone I downloaded through the link on the first page of this thread brings in a file with the suffix .m4r.m4a

But I don't see a Ringtones folder in iTunes -- are you meaning I simply create a new folder with that name?

When I followed the instructions, it simply said to Add to Library, which I did. It's just that when I then drag it over onto my phone icon, it automatically goes into the music library on the phone, not the ringtones.

Thanks again for all your help.

Change the suffix to simply .m4r and drag to iTunes. I think that it'll automatically generate the apropriate folder.

My husband had the same problem and changing the suffix worked fine. Just make sure to delete the files from your music library before readding them with the correct suffixes.

Also, I have no idea how the .m4a got added on; I downloaded the same ones as my husband this afternoon and all of mine were .m4r and worked perfectly with no adjustments.

I got my into tones of iTunes but it will only let rhem be ringer and not text tones-any clues how to allow them to be alerts as well?
Thanks

Upgrade your phone's operating system?

The ringtones are selectable as text alerts. You just have to go into the settings area and select it.

But it doesn't play when someone texts me bc the file is still under ringtones and not under texts-I keep missing texts

Oh and I am up on today's os wise :). Love love getting phone calls, just want texts to work

Btw, the DCL chime on the wonder was exactly like this one, however the one they used on the port of Miami was a different pitch! Why would they have two if them?
