Still no confirmation email. Trying not to panic. Would just like to know if they lost my registration so I can do the Visa early registration since I have that email taunting me. Hoping to get it soon.

Checked my cc statement today and they charged me!!! Yay! I am in for DDD!!! DLR here we come. Now I just need to figure out dates, where to stay, book flights...

Went to the Tink Expo today around 2. No line to register for the races, and plenty of computers to use. Unfortunately this also meant that the Active.com registration fee was enacted. I registered solely for the 10k, and it totaled $101.

Another non-runner here, but really enticed by running a Disney race. I'm not really sure why, other than the fact that those medals are awesome!!

I am considering the 10k. I've been on the final confirmation page 3 times, but just haven't had the guts to pull the trigger.

I am currently trying to lose some weight and just be healthier in general, and thought that maybe if I had a goal (besides a number on the scale) it would help.

I'm so torn!!

Kathy, if you are thinking about it, and it doesn't break the bank, go for it. The feeling you will get when you crossed the finish line is awesome! Make sure to check in with your doc that this is something you should do.

I am officially signed up. I didn't sleep well at all last night in fear that it would sell out by the end of the week. With people being able to sign up at Tink, last weekend at WDW marathon, Disney Visa, AP, I feared slim pickings so I bit the bullet... Now I have to scrimp and save because this was NOT on my radar this year at all...

I read on another runners forum that there is high probability DDD will sell out (or be closed out) one or around jan 22 when the normal registration opens. Apparently a lot if marathon runners and Tink runners jumped on it.

Just a heads up if on the fence for both!

Any DVC members?? My 7 month window doesn't open up for a bit. I am sure studios are booked and being waitlisted for. What is the availability currently for dates 8/29 - 9/3? Would like to use (what little) points I have if there is anything available. Would someone mind checking for me please?

Were the receipts being delayed on being sent through active? I received mine right away. Or were you getting a receipt from somewhere else?

I am wondering this too. We will have to wait until the end of this month before we can book at VGC and I've heard that studios are already booked for the weekend. We have a room at the BWPP for the week that we're there in case we can't use our points but it would be so much better if we could!

Someone posted on the other thread a few days ago and there was next to nothing left. I'll see if I can link it from my phone. I went ahead and book 3 nights at PPH on points and will be wait listing the last night at VGC and booking a back up.

Is it weird that PPH is 1 point cheaper than VGC per night for the weekend? What's up with that?

Thurs, 8/29 yes
Fri, 8/30 no
Sat, 8/31 no
Sun, 9/1 no
Mon, 9/2 yes

1 bedroom still has availability for Friday night, but now sat and sun are booked (could swear it was open yesterday).

DVC member here. I didn't want to take the chance and wait until the 7 month window. Booked Disneyland hotel...loved, loved, loved it last year. Yes, it's not a villa, but it makes up for it in really plush bedding and Mickey decor.

Looking at the point charts for even a 1 or 2bdrm I think I'll be better off just going with the DL hotel as it is less expensive - point wise...

I think that is the direction I may be going.

1. Still no email from runDisney but since they charged me I am wondering if perhaps my handwriting was off? I am assuming I am in with the charge and moving ahead with the process!!
2. Just booked our hotel. Went with the HoJo Anaheim. Looks so nice from the website and reviews (checked Hotels.com) and the price for the king/bunkbed room is great. Excited about the neat pool and being so close to the parks.

Just need to book flights and decide on tickets. Are 3-day hoppers enough? Too much? This is our first DLR trip and we are there Aug 29- Sept 2 flying from FL so I am thinking parks Aug 30- Sept 1.

Agreed. PPH is actually 1 point cheaper than the studio. That won't be too much further from the start will it? I looked at BW and those rates are pretty decent!
