Just to clarify, I have had the same response on a number of occasions. I think it's just a matter of who you talk to. I've had those that volunteered to send a runner for shopping; I've had those that told me to order something from the Disney website and mail it to them for them to put in the room; I've had those who directed me to the Disney florist. The very large Pirate in room celebration we had done though was done through Disney events because we were doing a weeklong celebration with numerous special events booked like an Illuminations party, etc. just didn't want you to think IPO did that. :) it was actually one of our events and rather expensive. We had a person assigned to us to coordinate all of this through their sales office.

I understand, thanks for clarifying though. It all sounds like it turned out great. I'm going to give them a call on Monday to see if they're willing to do anything. I bet it depends on how busy they are as well. Thanks for all your help!

Welcome to the Disboards!

Yes....I find this strange. Instead of emailing, I would call and restate your request. I have only stayed club level a couple of times, but both times I had IPO pick up a couple of things to be in my room from the marketplace as surprises.

As a fellow fan of Mickey treats...I hope this works out :)

Thanks for the welcome! :) I'm going to give them a call and see what happens. The worst they can do is direct me to the florist again! ;)

Mickey treats are awesome! We always make sure we get extra to take home! Thanks for the help!!

We are booked in a standard room Club level at the BC for the week of labor day. Does anybody know if any of the standard rooms on the Club level have balconies? I don't care about the view -- I could look at an air conditioner or a roof and drink my coffee and not mind it. I'm a grump in the morning, so having a private spot would be nice to sip coffee while everybody else is getting ready. Possible to have a balcony, or not?

From all the things I've read - will be staying at the BC doing a standard room on the Club level for the first time next week - each room has a balcony, either a standard one or a Juliet balcony which is smaller than a regular balcony.

Hope that helps! Have a great time!!

Oooh! Have a wonderful trip! I'd love to hear all about it when you return. :)

Hi Everyone! Been awhile since I posted here. Our last stay at the YC was in August 2011. It was our first stay at the YC. I didn't have the greatest time, for many reasons. I'm thinking of trying BC for our trip this April. (4/15-4/22).

Is the pool as crowded in April as August?

Also, to get s full balcony, is that what we request? Or are there specific rooms I should request. Going with a garden view room.

Thanks!!

Those are my feelings exactly!!! I don't care what I am looking at, as long as I have a full balcony to drink my coffee before everyone gets up.

Yes, there are standard view club level rooms with a full balcony. According to my notes, most of the rooms in that category DO have full balconies, just a handful do not.

I had one in 2010- there was a big tree blocking the view of the parking lot, I could see the BCV rooftops and at night, I could see some of the Illuminations fireworks and a lot of the fireworks from MK.

Hi every one

How can I find Trip report only at the yacht Club ?

Thank you !

Scroll up a few posts. Janet Mom has a link to her trip report from her stay at the Yacht Club.

dawnbu40 has a current trip report and stayed a couple of nights at the YC:

A Daily Dose of Disney Drama http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3002827

And of course, there is "If the Yacht Club was a Person I would marry it" trip report by a young lady getting ready to enter the Disney College Program.

Happy reading!

Just to add onto this...

If you go to that link and scroll down to post 6 you can see that the view from 3691 has a lagoon view through some trees. Those photos are taken from the full balcony that faces the courtyard, so it's off to the right. That room also has a standing room only balcony that directly faces the lagoon, the other photos are from that balcony. Lagoon straight ahead (through trees) and the pool to the right.

The original post in that thread says that room 4681 is also a Deluxe room but I think that might be a typo and it's really 4691. They also say that 4691 has a standing room only balcony but I'm looking on Bing Maps and I think maybe it has two standing balconies. One toward the lagoon and one towards the courtyard.

So also in that post you'll see that 3557 has a standing balcony that has a nice straight on view of the lagoon.

Thanks for the info! I just looked at my notes, and the deluxe room is 4691. I'll make those corrections when I have the chance.

Packed up and ready to go!!:) Leaving early tomorrow for a 6 night stay at BC......first time there and I know I will love it.

My only request was a full balcony. I love sitting out early morning with a couple cups of coffee.....

I'm a little worried that being a solo traveler, I will get a Juliette balcony.
But, I'll just be happy to be there :hyper:

MickeyT, if you have a moment to report on Hurricane Hanna's status, we'll be very interested! Arriving in two weeks for our Poly/BWI split stay, but Luna Park will be down during our stay and we'll be over at SAB!

Finally got by there this afternoon. Everyone we asked gave the same answer. That it should have been finished a couple weeks ago and they really don't know. Any day now. Soon.....

Thought about going all Ninja Mom on them and shoving one of my sisters over the construction wall with the orders to get a date or else. Neither one would cooperate.

Have a great time! I'm so jealous! But I'll be there soon enough! The Beach Club is such a nice place to stay! You'll love it!

Can't wait to hear about your trip!

:thumbsup2. I love my Lumix point & shoot too. Mine has 8x optical zoom. I got mine a year ago I think. Was also happy with Canon Elph, but only had 3x zoom. So gave daughter that. Feature for feature Lumix has a better price point then Canon, and has Ziess lens.
I think the Lumix that came out this year have even more Zoom. 16x ?

Correction, it has a Leica lens, oops!

How did you know I snuck over the wall to take a peek!? There was a lot of buzzing and sawing while I was there. When I put my ear up to the wall and listened I could hear the workers singing "If I Had a Hammer" by Peter, Paul and Mary. That may be where the problem lies....

Any suggestions for garden view rooms? We have stayed at BC serval times and have been water/pool view. Have a favorite room for that level but no idea for garden view. Thanks!

I think this is probably a no, but can refillable mugs be topped up at the BW as well as Y&BC? Just thought if we are strolling round the lake it might be a nice option to have...

I believe the answer is no. The Y&BC are separate resorts from the BW, so if you purchased the mug at Y&BC that is where you should refill it. Perhaps before you head off for your stroll.

I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Alison, and my husband and I are taking our three children (11, 8, 7) to the BC club level August 31 through September 7th. We went last year for the kids' first visit to Disney and stayed at the AoA Cars suites and had a great time. I think that was a perfect first visit resort - we absolutely loved it. We visited most of the deluxe resorts for dinners last year, and we liked the BC for it's convenience to everything and so many options for things to do within walking distance. We had originally thought of doing the AoA again because it was so wonderful, but since this is a second trip, we will likely slow the pace down a little bit, and the BC seems PERFECT for that. Also, I believe the week we are going is much less crowded than when we went last year (mid-August) -- so enjoying a less frenzied pace will be wonderful.

I've stayed at the CR, Swan & Dolphin, and also several offsite hotels over the years. We're looking forward to club level at the BC. My husband loves pampering, so he's probably the most excited of all of us.

I have to say that this is such a wonderful and informative thread! Thank you to Natebenma's hard work in keeping it so organized. Everything I wanted to know was SO easy to find. Kudos!
