Marathon Weekend Weather

Okay, this isn't looking so bad. I'm seeing a lot of 61s for tonight and 61-62 on most sites for tomorrow night. I can live with both those numbers as they are better than the 64s I started seeing.

Peter may lose the hat, but the tights are coming to the marathon. Looking good people.

Agreed... the current forecast for tomorrow morning has the temperature at 62 for the start and only getting up to 66 by 9AM... not bad at all compared to what I was fearing.

61-62 is fine.... for an END of race time. Oh well, can't control it, so I'll do my best! :)

Well, in the end the heat wound up slowing me down, but not enough to counteract the altitude gain. I ran the full at basically the same speed as my Sept Denver marathon, even with the half the day before.

On a different note, did anyone else see the first responder running the marathon in a full fire suit, plus helmet, plus oxygen tank?!?! That made me rethink how hot I thought I was.

I ran quite a bit with the firefighter.
The weather was much of an issue for me. I actually felt last year felt warmer. The air was so calm, no breeze at all, last year. This year had some breeze now and then and I kept my sponge for several miles.
