I've never smelled the scent in the rooms. My dd has asthma and never has a problem with either the YC or BC lobby scent.

HTH.

You can smell it in the lobby the second u walk in the door. But I haven't smelled it in the rooms . ABD being very sensitive to smells, I wouldn't be able to sleep there if it was in the rooms

Hope that helps!

Yay, DS is booked for the Albatross treasure cruise May 22nd. He is going to LOVE it!

Just some info to share. My DS has food allergies so I asked the CM what kind of snacks they offer now and she told me they stopped doing any food on the cruise. She told me to double check when I drop him off and sign the waiver but that at this point they are no longer doing a snack.

If you drink more than two drinks each a day and you can do without your bacon every morning (personally, to spend $15-20 on breakfast per person each day is way too much for me), it pays even for two people. However, if you aren't going to be at the resort all that much and instead leave early and don't get back to the resort until after 10 each night, then it certainly does not pay. For me and my husband, it pays! We only go into the park for dinner at night and we spend all day at the resort so with the breakfast, snacks and food at night, along with drinks throughout the day and before bed, it definitely is worth it! Keep in mind there is no food court at the Y&B so you can't just go and order bacon like you could at Port Orleans, etc.

What other perks are included w concierge level?

Dedicated CMs outside the lounge to assist with anything you need. Itinerary Planning Office to make all your reservations before you arrive. Turndown service. Bathrobes. If you go on the Disney website and check out the rooms at a deluxe resort, it will tell you what comes with booking club level. For me, it's mainly the convenience of sodas, drinks, snacks, breakfast, bottled water throughout the day.

Check in was a relaxing experience. We were brought upstairs by a staff member, seated in nice soft chairs offered a beverage while a staffer checked us in and asked about certain preferences like wake up calls, housekeeping times, etc.

We had access to a wonderful staff that would provide many different types of assistance, like with reservations at restaurants or shows or special events. You simply had to communicate to them a request or state a problem and they were on it!

There were robes in the room which were perfect for using st the pool when it was slightly chilly out.

I heard other people request certain beverages or wines and the staff would get them if they weren't out. One lady did ask for Champagne but she was told that that was not something they had so you have to keep it with in reason.

I just liked knowing that if there was a problem or a question I had I could depend upon the Club Level staffers to offer assistance while I went to the parks and stopped worrying about it.

I'm sure there are more things but since it was my first time I don't have all that much experience with a varied CL experience.

I've always used the itinerary planning services a lot! They are great!! But I completely agree with Teena regarding the convenience of club level. Having access to the lounge and the convenience that entails whether it's breakfast or stops during the day can't be measured in $$ for me. It makes the entire trip more relaxed and feel much more like a true vacation. :)

Plans for today…..Camera day. Getting ready to grab the bag and head to MK for a slow stroll and snap. Just take it as it comes. They're calling for record high temps today 80's plus. We may finally go for that swim. Or just wait for SAB......

Sounds fantastic!

Thanks for your helpful input regarding the lobby scent & asthma/allergy issues. I think we will give it a try and hope for the best. I hate to write off a resort the kids really want to stay at without giving it a shot. Perhaps I will request a room as far from the lobby as possible since we have no other requests.

So just decided we are staying whole week at ycc instead of split stay...I think. Can anyone tell me about the quiet pools? Specifically how deep are they and can anyone use the villa pool or is it just for dvc? Thank you!

Plus a DVD player in the rooms.

I know this might sound odd, but that's a big perk for me. I don't have kids, so that's not why. I just hate coming back to a hotel room at night and flipping through the channels hoping to find something random to watch. LOL And even if you can find something, chances are pretty good that it'll be halfway over when you turn it on! It just feels so much more like home if I can put on an episode of my favorite TV shows to watch instead.

My iPad works in a pinch, but the bigger the screen the better!

I'd like to chime in about about staying club level as well...besides the unbelievable convenience factor for snacks, breakfast, drinks, etc...it is knowing where your room will be. At the Poly you are in the Hawaii bldg, at GF you are either in the main bldg or Sugarloaf, YC you are on the fifth floor, etc... Plus, there is a bit of reassurance in knowing you are on a keyed floor or in a keyed building. Not everyone can be coming and going into your building or onto your floor, and cast members pretty much know everyone by name.

We love, love, love club level. Can't wait to experience the Yacht Club!

I am on the be our guest list and even though I don't post much, I am always lurking for info! With all the recent posts about club level, I am excited to say I've upgraded to a deluxe club level room! This is our first experience with club level and I really hope it's all I can imagine. I know just the extra space in the room will be a plus and I agree about even just the unlimited supply of drinks. I'm so excited! Everyone on here is so helpful! Thanks so much for all you do!

Coming back home to the BC March 27th-April3! Would love to be added to the Be Our Guest List! Thanks!

So we are booked.... BC club level, can't wait to be spoiled!! April 14-17. Please add me to the list

We spent several lovely afternoons at the quiet pool at BCV when we were there in April-May, 2011. We were staying at the BC, not the villas, but that didn't matter. The quiet pool isn't reserved for DVC.

It seems to me that the pool was at least five feet deep. It is a normal rectangular pool, with a shallow end that is a few feet deep that gradually gets deeper.

Does anyone know how many CL rooms there are that are NOT on the 5th floor at the YC? What catergories are they (standard view, garden, lagoon)?

I totally missed that they have microwaves available at BC. Just noticed it says you can request them. Should I do this in advance or is that something that should be easy to obtain if mentioned at check in? I also have to request bed rails for the kids but only just found out Disney resorts offered them.

All standard, garden and lagoon view club level rooms are on the fifth floor only. Some suites and deluxe CL rooms are on first, second, third and fourth floors.

It’s not that I hate the Contemporary area or anything. We do like it here. We did grow fond of BLT’s as the week went on. Just like BC there are a ton of good restaurants on site or within 10 minutes. Just like the BC you can walk to a park. Just like the BC the lobby can get a little loud sometimes. Just like the BC the CM’s are great. Just figured out what I miss most about the Y&BC. The grounds. The ambience. The lobby. The theming.

Most WDW regulars have their favorite resort and ours is BC. And we are finally heading that way.

Yesterday we started slow. Sat on the balcony at BLT, drank coffee and watched Bay Lake come to life. Love watching the boats at WDW. People coming. People going.

Late morning we headed over to MK again. Took the camera and just strolled. We watched an abbreviated version of the Dream Along with Mickey stage show in front of the castle. It was misting rain and they shortened it for the characters safety. Rode the HM and then just people watched for a while. We then did a quick decision to try the BOG table service lunch. It took us around 25 minutes to get in. We split a sandwich and a soup and were more than full. Beautiful building/theming. We had FP’s for the new Under The Sea ride but surprise, surprise it was down. As was Story Time with Belle. Either it is one of those things where it is a luck of the draw thing and we just happen to show up as all these attractions break down or the parks are having a lot of maintenance issues right now. After this we decided to go ride old reliable. The People Mover. Grabbed a favorite, the cream cheese pretzel and claimed a great spot on Main Street for the 3 o’clock parade. Headed back over to the room and finally did our swim. A little cold getting in (as it is in July) but we managed ok. Stayed in the pool about an hour.

I then did a resort walk around with my camera. Some ok shots. Still learning. We then had dinner at California Grill. Window seat to watch Wishes. Unbelievable food and service. It is going down in three weeks for an extensive rehab (heard six months). Hopefully it will be as good or better when it returns.

So time to pack again. Like I’ve said before. Lee is a pro. Sister #1 arrives @ 11 so I doubt our BCV room will be ready. # 2 will be in around 3. They are arriving on ME so we will get a touch down to arrival time. Our current plans are to head over to HS and have an early dinner at Sci-Fi. And pictures. Maybe now I can take some resort pictures I can post (been kinda hesitant to post CR photo’s on Y&BC thread :)). Well off to balcony to watch last sunrise on Bay Lake……It has been fun.
