My sister got a pin code-can those be transferred to another family member or no? Meaning can she book a room or dining plan for us with her pin code? Would she have to come with us in order for us to use it if she can? TIA

She can't give it to you, no. It needs to be used by the person it is assigned to. If you are all traveling together, she can use it on up to 3 rooms no problem. But yes, she has to be going.

Depends, do you live at the same address and have the same last name? If no, then no you can not really use the code. But if yes to both, I'd say you probably could! I just booked a trip using a pin code that arrived in my dad's name without any problem. (I still live at home and have the same last name as my dad). When I told the CM my dad wasn't coming he was like "Okay, so bye-bye Dad!!" LOL

I didn't live at the same address, but I was able to detail the old address and postal code and phone number and that was good enough. We updated my address and phone and made the reservation using my PIN.

My last name hadn't changed. ;)

Sorry I'm a little confused... was the pin code in your name but you had moved? In that case, I can understand them allowing you to use it! LOL But the OP was saying the pin code wasn't in her name (it was in her sister's name, but no reference to address or last name)

If you meant the pin code was in someone in your family's name at a different address (but same last name), and you were still able to use it, then that is really cool to know!

For our trip in April 2011, my father received a pin for 40% off certain resorts. I called and we were able to transfer the pin over to me for our trip. They told me I could use it because we had the same last name. There was nothing about addresses. And, no, my father did not have to come on the trip. Not sure if anything has changed, but that's what happened for us in April 2011.

this was interesting since Thur I got a code but I didnt notice till I called it was addressed to my DDIL but at my address she has never lived with us

The CM checked with a supervisor who said that since it was sent to my address anyone at "that address" could use it

so that saved us 35% for our after the cruise stay!!!!!

love those codes:thumbsup2

Typically, if you live at the address for the mailer, just ask for a supervisor and they will clear it's usage.

If you don't live at the address for the mailed item and is not in your name... Well, maybe you just took / got it from someone else...

Something must match. And no, your sister may not give you hers. Typically.

Wait. Wait. So the PIN sent to my address, but with my mother's name (she went with us to Disneyland this summer, so they associate her name with our address), that I've been whining about not being able to use...

I can use it?!

You might've just made my day, y'all! But then, not really, cause that means I will have to enter the jumbled abyss that is the phone reservation system right now...
