Hello all... we just booked our 1st stay at the BWI and i have a question... (1st of MANY i am sure)...do they do a nighttime movie anywhere? When we stayed at the Poly they had movies on the beach and we really loved that. Also, can you sit at the Boardwalk and see the fireworks from Epcot? Thanks!!!

Another question....what type of coffee maker is in the room on the Inn side? Thanks!!!

We are so excited! We just booked 7 nights in August! It will be our first stay at the Boardwalk. We need to call tomorrow to add 1 more night since can only book 7 nights at a time. We were able to get the standard view, which fits the points we have left for next year. Now the wait is here!

At one point people were wondering if SAB would be open to BWI guests during refurbishment...The below is from Allears.net

http://allears.net/news/top-news.htm?id=591

2) WDW Boardwalk Luna Pool closure begins January 28th - early March. Shuttles will take Boardwalk guests to Stormalong Bay at the Beach and Yacht Club. Check with the Front Desk for times and current details.

Got a letter from the resort today confirming this as well. Now if it will just be warm enough to swim!

The Beach Club shows movies on the beach. It's relatively near BW -- across the lake.

I'd like to know, too. It looks like Kuerig machines on the BWV side. I found a photo for a BWI standard room's coffee service on allears here: http://allears.net/acc/bw/bwi2010m.jpg

If I remember correctly (my DH used it bc I don't drink coffee so I didn't really pay close attention) it is kind of like a keurig but isn't that brand. But I know it is a brew a cup at a time kind.

Thanks! I also don't drink coffee, but DH does and I need him to be happy. As long as they leave enough coffee for two to drink, he'll be fine.

Someone said that the coffee makers now use pods.. which are similar to Keriug's because they are single cups, but the 'pods' that were in the picture were rounder and flatter.

Hi! When the main pool goes down for refurbishment, will the two quiet pools still be open??

Thank you!

They absolutely show movies every night at BW. The screen is set up by the Community Hall pool. Great CM's there too.

My DH birthday is on the 10th. I can't believe I didn't plan to do anything special while we're there.

Has anyone celebrated their birthday in Disney?
I know I'm very limited at last minute here.

We are so excited for March 9 to arrive. Staying at BWI in Garden Suite. Two sisters and our 2 adult daughters. We are ready for a great time. We have gotten so much helpful information from this forum. Thank you to everyone!

Trip is paid for in full, we even snagged an awesome 30% Spring Travel Deal yesterday when making final payment! :thumbsup2

We have had a Birthday every time we have been to Disney. They gave DH and DD Birthday pins to wear around if they wanted too. When we were at a TS they brought out a cupcake for DD (she was the one I put as celebrating). Last time we were in Epcot and the Photopass guy in France did a whole little photo shoot for the Birthday people in our party. My DH and DD again. It was such an unexpected surprise, but the guy took them all over the France area and took tons of pictures. :goodvibes It really added to the magic and after that my DD never wanted to take her Birthday button off. She is my drama queen and LOVES extra attention. I also love the pictures they got just of DD her smile is so brilliant.

Hi.. we were at BWV last year during June. My kiddos who are older teens did not use any of the pools. Our room was located closer to the quiet pool. We will be back this June again and wondering which pool people prefer with older teenagers.
I know from last year's visit that I learned to request a room close to the elevators as possible. Our room was ALL the way down the hall. But the proximity to HS and Epcot can't be beat. :)
