What is that? Premier AP? You used the DVC discount, right?

Hi TP2-:goodvibes
It was the Premium Annual Pass (for the 4 Parks, Water Parks, and Disney Quest), that DVC was offering at a discount of $300.00 off of each pass, with the requirement that you can only buy them until Dec. 31st of 2012(the offer started on Oct.1st, 2012), and activate them by Dec.of 2013...:goodvibes

Oh...that was a great deal. I was just looking at prices for the YES tickets like we purchased last year. They really increased in price. That secret is out of the bag and they are no longer offering much of a discount.

I read that sometime when I was looking for something else that they had gone up. Everything has gone up for Disney.

I know TP2- it seems like the YES program is "Public Knowledge" now, and alot of families are taking advantage of it ....Im sorry the ticket prices are going up, it began as a great savings, with a fun educational program for the kids.....

I was shocked that the caramel apples are now 10 bucks.
DD had a cow...she was charging her phone in the Dumbo store and I was outside sitting watching people (crazy people) and I told her. She sends back a text...$10 times 80,000 people in MK is $800,000 if everyone just bought one thing the price of an apple.

The new promo too...the magic thingy...I read one on All Ears about how they are going to have new ears...more $$$. Those headbands and ears are expensive...at least I think so.

Everything has gone up a lot over the last couple of years. I agree that $10 is a ton of money for a caramel apple. We really bought no souvenirs in the parks last summer. We did hit the Character Warehouse though and spent a ton. But everything was at least 50% off. If you have a car I do recommend going to the outlets. It was fun and new items are constantly being brought out from the back room.
I remember our first year balloons were $8 each and we have 3 kids. $24 cash for balloons that are annoying to carry around can't be brought home. Never so much crying!

Even better if you buy a ballon at AKL...Mousekeeping takes it because of the animals.:faint:

DD never asked about the outlets so I didn't bring it up...with it so close to the holidays before & after shopping I just didn't think it would be worth the time for traffic!!

No, the traffic literally ate the day away. It took forever to find a parking spot because EVERYONE in Florida on vacation goes to the outlets. :rotfl: Totally insane. We probably could have walked there faster from Bonnet Creek. It was literally our only trip that we will go. But the kids had such a great time in the store we had to go back before we went home. Wound up closing the store and the staff was super nice. They are open till 11pm!:p

It would have been insane then. Traffic on 192 was at a stand still the one morning and our CM friend knew a short cut that took us away from it and back behind even the short cut-short cut road. They have great stuff at the Target and Walmart on 192:rotfl:

The roads are so funny. GPS didn't work. They were like mind altered or something. It was very bizarre. Epcot seemed like eternity away from the hotel and then one night we took the BC bus and were back at the hotel in literally 3 minutes. The buses were on a time schedule so we knew exactly when they left the parking spot. It was crazy. But there are not road signs that tell you how to get anywhere. They tell you the LONG way around everything.

GPS can be really strange. It has taken us to open fields in Dubuque and said there is a Starbucks there:rotfl:I don't always trust it. I had issues coming back from MI once when we stopped...told me to go the wrong way. Always have to be alert!

OMG ! :rotfl: I am sooooooooooooooooooooo out of the loop. What is the YES program? I didn't get any discounts on our tix. I prefer to pay FULL price like :earboy2: > and get the total disney experience. :rotfl2:
MKY & Humphrey > we are working to keep disney afloat. :rotfl: If I start getting those discounts they will close up. :lmao: :thumbsup2

I know > I am still refusing to join DVC. But, I would have to skip a year of going > to get the $$$$ for our down payment. :wizard: :rotfl: So > as usual I need instant gratification. :dance3:

No GPS here that's bug's job. ;)

I have never had the disney's apples. They just look toooooo big.

Now, I feel a balloon is definately worth the 10.00. We need it at the CR. The air conditioning works on a motion sensor >>> that is where the balloons come in. :rolleyes1 Otherwise you wake up sweaty. :rolleyes1

Happy Planning!

and I am now in DOUBLE DIGITS 98 days and counting. WOOHOO

mky princess:

MKY...YES is Youth Education Series. So you need someone under 18 in your party to take the class. DD14 LOVED the class but in addition we all got discounted tickets. Total was $944 for 5, 4 day park hoppers with water park and more option. We got 8 days worth of tickets. We were so busy on our 10 day trip. But I will admit that I like our basic ticket better. We relax and don't feel pressure to "Get our moneys worth". Hit a park, stay till we are done. With the hopper I wanted to go someplace in the morning and switch in the afternoon.

Don't feel cheated! And the discount is almost gone now...so sad.:sad1:

TP2, Nice. Thanks for the explanation. That was a great idea / discount. We will probably feel pressure to do more in april and June this year since we are not going for so long. Don't want to leave the "boys" for too long. They are so much work, its a lot on Dad while we will be gone.
So we choose to go 3 times instread of twice and cut down the days, we are gone at any time. :confused3

mky :wizard:

It is awesome you have 3 trips planned mky!!

MNSSHP for us is on hold...they keep changing the days DS has off this fall too...glad I didn't plan anything. It's so pricey for really just one or two full days in the parks. Just cannot see spending the cash on airfare. Maybe if something CHEAP comes along:thumbsup2something to watch for I guess.
Besides they called so many off with the rain last fall.:(
