I really should take stock in the cimpany that makes Fung-Away & its not even rainy season.....oh & did I mention the 3 giant mosquito bite on my butt ! in December ! Like I said Crap on a Cracker ok gott get ready for work later ladies

Ah, for me the 'Richard Chamberlain' thing started with the 3 Musketeers (1973). I recall my Mom taking me to the theatre for a matinee showing. For her, the draw was Michael York. (Long term, I think she made the better choice.) I loved Shogun and was glued to the set for the Thornbirds mini-series but not so happy with it (him). By the time the series Casanova came out ... I understood ... he had, too.

Sure, I liked Chad Everett's look but didn't watch the show. I was probably watching Emergency! at the time for Randolph Mantooth. Sigh. I'm feeling so old!

I hadn't heard of Cowboy U -- but found it online. I may have to watch an episode -- seems CMT offers it via streaming from their website. That may take awhile given slow internet ... ;)

Not a horse owner but I have a little story.

I was in Walmart yesterday and the family behind me was buying many, many cases of candy canes. I finally asked what was up with all the candy canes and they told me they were treats for their horses. I knew horses liked sugar but mint too? Lucky horses.

Most horses love candy canes. We usually buy them in bulk after Christmas. :goodvibes I spread them out through the year. We have one horse that shouldn't have too much sugar so it's really a treat. Of course this is the horse with bionic hearing. She can hear me open a peppermint from 500 yards away. She will nicker and whinny until I get there. :rotfl2: And of course this same horse loves munchkins too (thanks sis for that). Isn't it always the case that the horse (or people) that don't need the sugar end up craving it. :rotfl2:

I really have to post a picture of our herd.

Oh heck yeah! My horses make out like BANDITS after Christmas as my riding students take down their Christmas trees and bring the uneaten candy canes to the barn by the bucketful. Bonus...makes their breath smell minty fresh!

well hi good morning & all welcome here :-) we're a friendly group when we manage to get here :goodvibes

so now I need to find a pic of someone smacking their forehead in a 'Duh' moment I buy those soft puff peppermints for Maxine all the time but do I make the connection re-candy canes !???? I have been in so many stores & they're practically giving them away & I walk by
CLUELESS :rotfl2:

(Lurker coming out of the wood work here! LOL) Hahaha I've never thought to give my horses candy canes! I always take home my mints from restaurants to give to them though. If I see any leftover candy canes in the grocery store this weekend, guess who's getting a late Christmas present!

So today's horsey debacle...I've been sitting here all morning waiting for the farrier. He's got 6 horses to do for me today and he's usually here by 7:30am. It's almost 10:30 and still a no-show. Not like him. My farrier is ALWAYS on time. So I'm about to call him and make sure he isn't dead in a ditch and I realize I think I may have written the date of our appointment down incorrectly. Now I'm off to turn out the poor 6 horses who've been cooped up in their stalls all morning instead of being turned out.

here u go Jennasis passing the clueless sign to you
:lmao:

I'm sure I'll get to use it too...but not for this! Turns out I was right with the day. He returned my call and turns out there was a death in the family and he forgot to call.

oh Jennasis thats sad what a way to start a new year for the family
