"No One's Gloomy or Complaining"-in DISNEY WORLD!~An 11/12 TR!-*NEW TR Link pg 56!!!*

Read all your updates last night! I started feeling sick yesterday, which stinks so much because I do not want to be sick on my Christmas trip (I hate being sick and not being at home; it just feels worse!). So I had to distract myself and to do that, I read your updates! Can't wait to read more. So glad the weather didn't interfere with your travel plans.

Wow at the amount of time it took to get checked out of AoA and then into POR!

I'm glad you made it to MK in the end and had a fun morning! Yay on meeting Marie, she is adorable! :thumbsup2

Also great shots of the castle :)

I know! It took forever! I really thought leaving myself over 2 hours to do all of that AND get to MK would be enough, but I guess not! :rotfl2:

Thanks, it was a great morning in MK! I love Marie, I take my picture with her on every trip!

Thank you! :thumbsup2

All caught up! I felt like I wore the same sweater too much on my trip because of the cool weather too lol It's too bad that it took you so long to check-out and check-in and get over to MK. Who would have thought that their would have been such a long line at 7am?!

Haha, don't you hate that? I kept thinking "people are going to think I never changed my clothes on this trip" but I did! It was the weather's fault I look the same in every picture! :rotfl2:

I know the line at POR was insane! Not only was it long, but it didn't move for a while either! It's funny though, when we did check in, it took us maybe 3 minutes...I wonder why it takes other people so long to check in??? :rotfl:

I'm FINALLY getting a darn moment to comment on your TR! Fun fact: I've literally had a window open to both your TR and then another tab for commenting (I always do this on people's TRs when I want to remember what to comment on, haha) for DAYS. And I'm just now getting a chance! Between work, keeping up with my own TR/writing updates/responding, and then just getting ready for the holidays, my week has been nuts. Absolutely nuts.

I know what you mean, I've had no time for the DIS lately either! I'm hoping now that Christmas is over, I'll have more time! That's a good idea opening 2 windows when you have a lot to comment on...sometimes I take notes...your way sounds much easier! :rotfl2:

ANYWAY! Now that I have a moment!

Food and Wine looks like a ton of fun! I would love to go at some point but I always get nervous about the crowds!

Food and Wine is awesome! The crowds are only bad on the weekends, and even then, they are manageable if you go in knowing it will be crowded! But on weekdays in like, October, the crowds are pretty low! You should go sometime, it's a lot of fun!

Your ravioli looks AMAZING. Like, wow, that cheese just looks delish.

I went to Karamel Kushe for the first time during our last trip and got the same thing as you! It was SO DANG GOOD. Seriously, they know what they are doing in that place!

I KNOW!!! I love that place so much...and I can never decide what to get!! Maybe in Feb. I'll go there once a day and just try every single thing they have! It has to be done at some point! :rotfl:

Maelstrom is pretty much the best. The mural in the front area is what always gets me in all of its randomness. :rotfl:

Hahaha that poor Norway movie... So boring but hey, it DID become part of my last TR's title, so at least we have that.

I LOVE Maelstrom! The whole thing is random, I mean, the polar bears and the trolls, it's just so weird and perfect!

I feel bad for that Norway movie...I wish they'd update it, because Norway does look like a nice country! I feel bad for the CM's who have to try to convince people to watch it...no one ever wants to! :(

Laila! I really need to check it out because I'm in the same boat as a few others; I've never smelled it! I will make sure I do on our next trip!

WHAT??? How have you never smelled the Laila? If you have walked through the Norway shops, you have smelled it, the whole place smells like a bottle of it! It's right up there with the Beach Club scent, it's amazing!! :yay:

I totally get the whole thing where you plan to do fireworks or a show but then you just finally hit that wall and tell yourself it's time to go. It's always for the best, because you know if you pushed it you'd just end up mega grumpy and feel like poop.

I wanted to see Illuminations SO much, but we were so exhausted...sometimes you have to really think about what you're doing the next day too! I'm so obsessed with Illuminations though, so it was hard to just give up and go back to AoA! I guess it was worth it though, because we both passed out as soon as we got back!

AoA looks so cute! Sounds like you guys have quite a day ahead of you though with the checking out and then checking into POR! Plus rope drop?! I'm impressed if you guys pull this off!

AoA was adorable! The only thing I'm not sure of is the walk from the LM section to the main building...it seems like it would be pretty long, I'm not sure I could deal with that for a week!

EDIT: HAHAHA, this is what happens when you leave the window open for days... You end up commenting on an old post! :rotfl: I need to catch up on your latest update now!

Haha, don't worry about it! I've been reading your Disneyland TR but I haven't had time to comment yet, so I'm sure I'm like 500 updates behind on there too! I read it at work on my phone, but I hate commenting on my phone, so I wait til I get home...then I have no time at home...but I have been reading it! :cool1:

When we checked into both resorts on our trip (CBR, then POP) neither room was ready on check in!
Granted, we checked into CBR at 8am, but I had to call because it was almost 5pm and we were just sitting by the pool area waiting to get a text or call, and it still wasnt ready and I had them get us a different room.. I was slightly agitated by that. We had driven through the night, I was hot and sweatyand tired and wanted a shower! LOL And our park tickets started the next day! and we always do online check in..
Wasn't so bad the following day when we checked into POP and our room wasn't ready on time. We had a rental car so no biggie! I just get jealous when I read about you having a room ready ;) LOL
ANYWAYS....

I love that you got to see Marie upon arrival to MK! I know you were upset they'd moved her! Is she always at MK now?

That danish looks so good!!(could be *** I'm starving!)!! Even if it wasn't perfect, everything in disney tastes better than anywhere else lol - especially the popcorn!!! haha!

walk on on BTMRR??? AWESOME!!!!!

Wow, that's crazy about your rooms never being ready on time! :scared1: We usually have pretty good luck with that, I think we've only had to wait for our room twice? I've read that the earlier you check in, the more likely you are to get a room, but who knows? I'm sure it's all random!

I love Marie! She is always at MK now, I liked her in France, but at least she's still somewhere! I"m afraid they're going to get rid of her soon! :scared1:

That danish does look good, and it did taste good too, but it wasn't the way I was hoping it would be, which was perfection! Because usually Disney danish is perfection (just like gum...gum would be perfection...sorry, random Friends quote!)! :rotfl2:

I KNOW! I could not believe we just walked right on to BTMRR, that NEVER happens!!! :woohoo:

Wow, what a morning you guys had! And the fact you just barely got there for Rope Drop essentially is just baffling. I'm not sure if I would be able to do it and I have no problems getting up super early. Whoa, but glad to hear everything wasn't a big problem even if there were setbacks in this morning. A shame in all of this you didn't have time to get some initial pictures of POR. Oh well...

Great MK pictures! I think that is probably the first time I've seen Marie meet anywhere outside of Epcot. That's a rare moment right there. ::yes:: And that Danish looks so good, mmmm, will definitely have to make a dash for the Main Street Bakery when I'm in the World. :)

Ooooo... New Fantasyland looks SO COOL! A shame you couldn't get in though that morning. Hopefully this will come later in the trip ;) :thumbsup2 to riding BTMRR and the Haunted Mansion! The view from the front on BTMRR is so cool, I don't think I've ever been in the front OR the back. It is my goal to be one or both of those seats one day :teeth:

Can't wait to hear about how you deal with the nonexistent crowds! :mickeyjum

I know, I cannot believe I got up SO early and still missed rope drop! It's not a big deal but it's crazy how long it takes to do things in Disney, you know? :confused3

Thanks! I think Marie is permanently in MK now. Which is sad, because I loved her in France, she belongs in France!!!

Doesn't New Fantasyland look so cool? OMG I stalked it sooo bad that morning, but they didn't care! :rotfl2: I thought maybe they'd feel sorry for me and let me in! At least we got in later in the week, if I didn't see New Fantasyland on that trip, I would have cried!! :rotfl:

I loved going to MK that early, and the day of a party, the crowds were so low! And that weekend was really busy!

I hope my experience checking out of AoA is not as slow as yours. We too will have a park to get to! :faint:

Other than that, great morning. That first time getting into MK is just so perfectly magical! pixiedust:

Haha, I hope not! I don't think it will be, the CM said it was a computer problem, so I'm guessing things will go smoothly for you! Give yourself a few extra minutes, just in case! :thumbsup2

It was a great morning! I love going to MK the first time on each trip, it's so much fun! I love seeing the castle, it's so magical!

Sorry I'm a couple days late reading this.

I have to agree with you - it ALWAYS takes much longer to do things in Disney. It can be so frustrating. I mean - you got up plenty early. Oh well.

I think a lot of people stay off site their first night or do what you did and they are all there checking in at the same time. Can't wait to see your room.

What an absolutely gorgeous day and your picture with Marie is so cute. I know what you mean about being outside and park touring is so much more tolerable in cooler weather.

Great update and pics.

Haha, don't worry about it, I'm late with everyone's TR's lately too!

It IS frustrating how long it takes to do things in Disney, especially when you think you have more than enough time! OH well, it ended up being ok, but at first it was annoying! :rotfl2:

This is our 2nd stay at POR during free dining, and both times check in has had a super long line. :confused3 Maybe that's just the way it is there, the resort is pretty big!

Thanks! I love the cooler weather, I wish I could tolerate the heat more so I could go in the summer someday, but I just can't deal with it! It's nice that you can go to Disney year round! :thumbsup2

Wasn't the weather great? I loved that it wasn't boiling hot, but not cold either for the most part. We had planned to head over to MK in the afternoon, but Claire was having so much fun with her cousin at DHS that we ended up changing plans and stayed there instead. Also she was wanting to ride TSM and we could only get fastpasses for late in the day.

It was perfect weather! It was warm during the day and cool at night, which I thought was fantastic! MK was so much fun that day, but I think staying in DHS was probably great too...you gotta use those TSM FP's! :cool1:

Merry Christmas to you and Brandon.

Merry Christmas to you and your family Kathy! :cool1:

Just stopping by to wish you a Merry Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Love that picture, so cute! :cool1:

Read all your updates last night! I started feeling sick yesterday, which stinks so much because I do not want to be sick on my Christmas trip (I hate being sick and not being at home; it just feels worse!). So I had to distract myself and to do that, I read your updates! Can't wait to read more. So glad the weather didn't interfere with your travel plans.

Oh no, you're sick in Disney??? :sad1: I hope you feel better soon! :goodvibes I was actually wondering what happened to all of your Instagram updates, I thought maybe you went home! How were the crowds so far? I'm plotting to go at the same time next year, since Brandon informed me he wants to skip Christmas next year...::yes::

Thanks! I'm glad the weather cooperated and let us go to Florida, otherwise I would have been a mess! I needed that vacation!

haha! random friends quote are the best!!! my sister got the complete bluray collection of friends...she doesnt know it yet, but i plan to monopolize her blurays soon :) LOL Love me some friends!!!!

I've enjoyed reading your other reports and I just found this one. So, I'm going back to read but wanted to say  hi.

haha! random friends quote are the best!!! my sister got the complete bluray collection of friends...she doesnt know it yet, but i plan to monopolize her blurays soon :) LOL Love me some friends!!!!

Ohh, I want that blue ray collection! I have all 10 seasons on DVD, but I'd like all of them in a nice, neat little package! :thumbsup2 Although I don't even need to watch the DVD's because it's on 20 times a day! Which is awesome!

I've enjoyed reading your other reports and I just found this one. So, I'm going back to read but wanted to say  hi.

Thank you! So glad you're here, welcome!! :wave2: :cool1:

Breakfast with some Fluffy Friends

Friday, November 9, Part 2

Since we decided to skip Splash, we didn't have anything to do in Frontierland at the moment, so we decided to use our Peter Pan FP's. We went back to Fantasyland and got right onto Peter Pan with our FP's, they just let everyone who had one get on with no wait! I love that about FP's, but I always feel bad for the people stuck in standby, just waiting there, not moving.

Peter Pan was magical as always, and when we were finished, Brandon wanted to do Philharmagic. We had a breakfast ADR at Crystal Palace, but it was still pretty early, so we had no problem seeing Philharmagic, especially since we went in right when they opened the doors to the theater, so there was no waiting around or anything!

I absolutely love everything about Philharmagic, it's just perfect! I usually end up crying at one time during the show, either during the Little Mermaid part or the Lion King part. I just can't handle all the Disney perfection all at once! :rotfl2:

Once Philharmagic was over, we decided to go over to Crystal Palace to check in, even though we were a little early.

P1000161.jpg

We checked in and we got seated right away, even though we were a few minutes early, which was nice, because after that not so fantastic danish, I was starving!

We sat on the right side and our server told us to just to up to the buffet right away because the characters would be back out soon (they must have been taking a break or something because when we walked in, no one was out!). We went up to the buffet, got some stuff and sat back down, and soon enough, Pooh was visiting our table!

P1000167.jpg

(Sorry I'm not putting up my picture with Pooh, it's terrible!)

Right after we saw Pooh, Tigger came to visit!

P1000169.jpg

(Ok, that picture isn't much better than my Pooh picture, but Brandon's Tigger pic is just awful, so I had to put one up at least! :rotfl2:)

While we were waiting for Eeyore and Piglet, we ate our breakfast, which I'm sorry, I didn't take pictures of, but I'm sure you guys know by now what the Crystal Palace buffet looks like! I got an omelet, some wonderful Disney bacon, that potato thing they have there, which I realized I don't like because it's way too onion-y, and of course PUFFED FRENCH TOAST! :woohoo: I'd go to Crystal Palace just for the puffed french toast alone, it's that good! In fact, if I go there again, I might just do that, because my omelet was awful, it was not cooked at all, and I don't think I ended up eating much of it. Oh well! Everything else was pretty good though!

Sadly, we didn't wait for Eeyore and Piglet, they were just taking way too long and we were ready to get out of there and do something else!

We decided to go to Tomorrowland and check out the wait time for Space Mountain. I love Tomorrowland, I could spend hours just sitting there, listening to that perfect music loop, so when we got there, I found a place to sit for a minute and just take it all in while Brandon went over to Space Mountain to see how long the wait was. He came back and told me it was way too long, so we decided to do one of my favorites...

P1000170.jpg

THE PEOPLEMOVER!!!

I don't know what it is about this ride that I love so much, but I do, I love just sitting back and riding around Tomorrowland!

(Oh, and if you're wondering why it looks like there are tons of people getting on all at once, I think the ride was down and it reopened like, right when we got there, so a lot of people were let in at one time! There wasn't some mad rush to get to the Peoplemover or anything! :rotfl:)

I know you are all dying to see the required Peoplemover-shoe-picture, so here you go:

P1000173.jpg

Those are my brand new Merrels that I bought specifically for this trip, and I walked in for a few weeks before we left and I thought they would be great and...they weren't! :confused3 Oh well, I'm just never going to find comfy Disney shoes I guess! They are cute though, aren't they?

P1000174.jpg

When we finished our tour of Tomorrowland, it was around noon and we were getting kind of tired, getting up at 5:45 was starting to catch up with us, and although I planned to stay at the Magic Kingdom until 2ish, we decided to just go back to POR for a while to unpack and nap so we had energy later that night.

I did have to take a few pictures on the way out, I mean, how could you walk by this and not take a picture?

P1000176.jpg

Soooo cute, I want Mickey and Minnie topiaries in my garden someday!

So that little parade/dance party they do at MK, is that still the "Move it, Shake it, Celebrate it" thing, or is it something different now? Well, that was going on as we were walking out, so I stopped for a few minutes to watch, since we always kind of ignore it!

P1000179.jpg

It's cute, but it just makes me want to see the afternoon parade in MK, and I swear, no matter how hard I try, I will never see that parade! :confused3

Well, sadly, it was time to leave MK for the day, even though I was getting more and more tired by the minute, I still hate leaving the parks! :crazy2: However, I was excited to get to POR and check out our ROYAL ROOM!!

Up next...our lovely Royal Room (which I'll be doing the update for right after I post this one!)

A Royal Tour

Friday, November 9, Part 3

Hi guys! I wanted to show you guys all of the pictures of my royal room at POR, but I didn't really want to wait a few days and do it as a separate update, because that would have been kind of boring, and there are way too many pictures for it to be a part of another update...so I'm just going to do it now!

Since we were already checked in and we knew our room was ready, we drove right over to the building our room was in. I requested a 2nd floor room in the Oak Manor section and I got a 2nd floor room in Parterre Place. I didn't think I'd want to stay in that section, because it seemed far away from the main building, but it actually wasn't bad!

We found our room, opened the door, and...AHHHHHH!!! It was BEAUTIFUL! Even if you've seen the pictures, it's still nothing like stepping into this amazing room in person for the first time! I took TONS of pictures of the room, so get ready!

First, the beds and TV area:

The fireworks on the headboard:

Some adorable details on the walls:

P1000186.jpg

OMG how much do you want that coat hook, with Cinderella's carriage on it???? WHY DO THEY NOT SELL THESE THINGS TO TAKE HOME WITH YOU???? :rotfl2:

P1000203.jpg

Some of the pictures up close:

This next picture is so beautiful, it's kind of 3D-ish:

P1000190.jpg

I tried to get a close up to show the effect, but it came out a little blurry, sorry! But isn't it cute?

P1000191.jpg

P1000197.jpg

Look at the faucets on the sink! They're genie lamps!!! How adorable!!!

P1000192.jpg

And then, look at the border they had in the bathroom on the walls:

P1000193.jpg

And the shower curtain!

P1000204.jpg

P1000208.jpg

Oh, and if you're wondering what is on the border of the walls in the actual room? It's all of the princesses little friends like Chip (sorry this is kind of dark!):

P1000210.jpg

and the FAIRIES!!!

P1000211.jpg

Overall, I thought the room was absolutely perfect! I mean, if a princess is going to have guest rooms, I would imagine they would look just like these rooms, they were beautiful! I loved how every princess was represented in some way! I was nervous Brandon might not like the room, that he might think it was too girly, but he actually loved it! :thumbsup2

Once I was finished taking my 500 pictures of every angle and corner of the room (I have way more than what I showed you guys, I just tried to pick the highlights!) we unpacked and went to sleep for a while!

Up next...more Food and Wine at Epcot!

I love your pictures! What a clear blue sky at MK that day! I don't remember ever eating that puffed french toast at CP, I might need to try some next time! I also love the peoplemover, even though it isn't a big e-ticket ride lol Also, thanks for sharing your pictures of the Royal Room. I have never stayed in one, so it is great to see all of those detailed pictures.

Wow, that is a gorgeous room. I love the picture of all the princesses with their princes.

Wow that room is really pretty:thumbsup2 It's like a princess fantasy come true...

I'm loving your photos of your Crystal Palace Breakfast...I have to finally do that in July (I'm one of the only Disers who hasn't actually done it... ummm I had some issues with the large proportions of the Pooh characters for a bit...especially the large Pink Piglet... but I've had an intervention... and it's all better... so I'm going to make an ADR in January when my window opens...:thumbsup2)

Isn't BTMR the best? It's a little corny but I'll always love it...

I took that same little photo of Dumbo...:goodvibes

Nice photo op with Marie... I'm not sure but I don't think she's in France at Epcot anymore...

We had a not so wonderful breakfast at CP a while ago, so th hubs won't go back.. That puffed french toast is to die for though!!!

leaving a park is never fun- but catching a nap was probably the best thing! LOL

Your Royal Room looks Ah-ma-zing!!!!!!!!
I am so in love with it!!!! All the details make it so perfect!!!!! AHHH!!!!! :D :)

I usually cry during PhilharMagic, too! It's perfect, that's all there is to it.

What could be better than a breakfast full of "THE PUFFED?" Nothing I say, NOTHING!

Oh my goodness... way to make me want to book a stay in a Royal Room right this second! That is absolutely PERFECT!!!!! I'm dying over here. Good Lord. I seriously stared at/examined every picture for like a minute each. This is intense. Love it! Thanks for the great tour!

We LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Peoplemover, too !!! We call it the blue train and sometimes we will stay and ride it again. I just love it !!

Wow, you Royal room was amazing !!! Did you have the fireworks in the headboard ?? It seems like I read somewhere that there is a firework effect on the headboards .....

I have decided it is impossible to find the perfect "Disney" shoe! If you do find it, will you PLEASE let me know!

Puffed French Toast = :cloud9: Yum!

Your room is gorgeous! So well themed! I think you stayed in the two prettiest rooms on property! Love it!

I'm all caught up now!
Sounds like a great morning in MK, I love the People Mover too!
OMG your royal room is absolutely perfect! So adorable! I can't decide if my favourite thing is Carpet or the lamp taps or maybe the headboards. It's all so magical!

Yay for breakfast at CP!!! Love the Puffed French Toast! :thumbsup2

Your Royal Room looks AWESOME!!! LOVE the genie faucets! The attention to detail really is amazing!
