Where is my FAVORITE DCL cast member?

Main Dining Rooms:
Zsolt Szep - Hungary
Kristiann Kiss - Hungary
Ronald Corpuz - Philippines
Radoslav Hristev - Bulgaria (Assistant Server) ::yes::

Palo:
Ivan Frick - Hungary

I will be on the Fantasy in december ... I am requesting Rado Hristev (yes, I am requesting an ASSISTANT SERVER), and will also be requesting Ivan Frick for Palo Lunch and Palo Dinner. I am not sure if Zsolt, Kristiann or Ronald will be onboard for New Years Eve. ENJOY! :woohoo:

Thanks!!! Wouldn't hurt to have my TA request a couple for me!! When do you think I should request? Is 3 mo a little to early?

Can you make a request if you aren't sure whether they are still assistant servers or not? Like can I just say "this person" regardless of if they are an asst or main server?

Yes you can. Just tell them the name of who you are requesting and if you know it, their home country and you should be just fine.

Yes, and you can make several requests. Mine reads like a novel. I want our Assistant Server from our last cruise, not sure if she is a server by now, but she rocked it.

then the second request

server from our last cruise

third request

head server from our last cruise

Then I emailed them because I mis-spelled someones name

Each request was handled with ease, no problem

I find this thread so interesting! How Disney has connected us all with people from all around the world. I was wondering if anyone had my servers. They were on the Fantasy in June.

Head Server: Celo from Turkey
Main Server: Gonsalo from Portugal
Assistant Server: Curtis from Jamaica

Curtis was our favorite! I really hope he has been promoted, what a nice man :)

So ever had these servers?

Oh, and if your going on the Fantasy and want to request servers, this group was very good.

Many Gold and Platinum DCL Castaway Club members know Ciao Romano. Ciao was server on the Magic, who would also become Palo Server, as well as Head Server in the Main Dining Rooms. Ciao would also be named Palo Server of the Year. Ciao always has a smile on his face, and knows how to take care of his guests.

After a recent vacation, Ciao returned to DCL, but has been transferred to the Fantasy as a Palo Server. Ciao is scheduled to be on the Fantasy through February 2, 2013.

Others have already responded, but I wanted to add ... "guest requests" are typically reviewed by a DCL Restaurant Manager approximately 1 - 2 weeks prior to actual sail date. In my case, I will be requesting my previous ASSISTANT SERVER (by first & last name, plus country) ... who will be rejoining the ship on the day I board the ship as well. In this case, ship personnel MAY NOT realize the cast member WILL be on the ship. In this instance, I will merely explain the situation to DCL or T/A (at time of my request). HOPEFULLY, this information will be reduced to comments which can be read by the Restaurant Manager.

In addition, for those who sail B2B cruises, you may request the same server for both (multiple cruises). In this case, when your table and server are assigned for your first segment, the Restaurant Manager will also schedule your table and server for your remaining segments as well.

If you cannot make up your mind as to a specific cast member, you might consider making a request for a cast member by nationality or gender (ie: Hungarian or female).

Guests may also request a specific table number. Requesting a specific table number would be ideal if you absolutely LOVED the view or vantage point during your last cruise. Understand, table numbers are not the same on all ships, SO, if you loved table #42 on the Wonder, don't expect the same location on the Fantasy (especially when comparing classic to newer ships). Table locations are subject to minor changes (ie: party of 10 may require a table-top of six, and a table-top of four to be combined).

PLEASE DO NOT request a specific table number AND a specific cast member for the same cruise. Cast members are assigned to specific teams during contracts ... which allows them to work under a specific Head Server and Restaurant Manager. A cast member does not have the ability to be randomly assigned to any table within the restaurant ... not to mention the headache of being able to coordinate the changes.

We just finished our Fantasy cruise. It was so much fun! We met 3 amazing crew members, and I didn't think to ask for their last names to send them a thank you note or something. There was Sarah from England at the Oceaneer Club/Lab, Julian the bar tender from Jamaica, and Dylan from Tennessee, server at Palo. We were lucky enough to see Dylan at breakfast at Cabanas the last day, but with all the fuss I couldn't talk too much to him. I didn't think to ask for their last names or anything. :p Now I see some of you have successfully sent care pacages for your favorites, and sounds like a good idea. Can anone tell me how can I get in touch with them? Like I said, I didn't ask for last names. Does anyone here know them?
Thanks!:thumbsup2

When it comes to a Head Server, Server, Assistant Server or Stateroom Host ... always remember to retain your gratuity receipt ... which includes their last name. In this particular case, if nobody else can help you, you might consider contacting DCL Guest Services ... send them a note of appreciation (acknowledging and thanking the cast members) ... making sure you reference your EXACT cruise. If you only recall their first name and department ... include it in your letter. Hopefully, the information will work its way down to the proper department. I am not sure if it will work, but you might consider asking Guest Services if they can help provide you with their last name. Tell Guest Services you would like to communicate with them in the future (letters or care packages). PLEASE let us know if Guest Services provides you with the information you are seeking.

On your NEXT cruise ... if you find yourself looking for a specific cast member ... whether it be a server or bartender ... make sure you ask them for their last name AND home country. More than likely, they will know why you want the information. Don't be shy ... ask them to write it down (for proper spelling). In the unlikely event they ask WHY you want the information, simply tell them you would like to acknowledge their great service. Cast members know they are rewarded for positive guest comments!

Enjoy!

We really liked Dylan, too. He was a nice boy (now I sound ancient, but I'm really not!) and he told us he's getting married soon! If you can find him, you might send him a little engagement/wedding note or gift. And put our name on it! Just kidding ;)
Good luck!

Thanks all for answering my questions. Yes, I sent a nice email thanking and praising all the cast members who were so very nice to us. They replied to me yesterday telling me they'll let all of them and their superiors know. I didn't talk long enough with Dylan to find out he was getting married! Probably because me and DH spent all the time goofing with him X-D Now I really want to send him and his fiancee something. oh well, we'll see if they do send me more info or not. Thanks all!

Please refer to post #251. If that does not work, you might consider mailing the picture to the address listed on page 1 of this thread ... making sure you add NIKKI / Bibbidy Bobbidy Boutique on the shipping label, or on the package. Remember to protect the picture with TWO pieces of rigid cardboard (the thin Priority Mail envelopes will not protect a photo from damage).

Remember the GOLDEN RULE: If you like a cast member, remember to ask THEM for their last name (and home country). :thumbsup2 They know why you want the information, and the will gladly oblige! :cool1:

Shaka is still on the Magic. Only about five crew members from the Magic came over to the Fantasy. We had Shaka back in August 2009 and LOVED him........Was glad we got to see Trevor in The Tube one night and happy our cruise director was Brent.

As of December 15, 2012:

Fantasy:
Radoslav Hristev (Bulgaria) - Assistant Server / Main Dining Rooms - Recently returned to the ship
Ivan Frick (Hungary)- Palo server - Will be leaving for vacation in early January.
Ciao Romano (Philippines) - Formerly from MAGIC ... now working daytime in Palo (officer in whites), but as Head Server at night, in the Main Dining Rooms. Ciao is actually in training as Palo Manager.

On the Fantasy:
Nikola Stakic (Serbia) - Main Dining Room Server
Ulises (Ulysses) Chavez Moreno (Mexico) - Assistant Server (contract scheduled to end sometime in January)
Selo Alkaranfil - Head Server

Does anyone know "Helen" from Kenya (assistant server on the Wonder)? She was on the Wonder in July 2012. Her head server is Roy and she works with Heru from Indonesia.

My daughter would like to write to her but we don't know her last name. Do I need to know her last name in order to write to her?

Thanks.

Also, does anyone have recommendations for a great server team (Head Server & Server) for the Magic?

We're doing the Med on June 1, 2012 with a family of 9 and have food allergies. It'd be great to get a good team who is really "on" it. We like people who don't mind it when we order lots of food  My family literally cruises for food first, ports second. Thanks!
