This is fantastic!! I thought I was the only weirdo who loved the smell of WDW water rides! Every once in a long while I'll think I smell something similar and it just takes me right back to POTC or IASM. Rome burning is definitely a close second!

Wow, no one mentioned the smells at AKL!?

Love the spicy seasoned oak smells from the restaurants at AKL

I know, crazy right?
as soon as I saw the question, that was my answer in my little head!

following this, soarin and philarmagic. :cool1:

Some good options to choose from. I picked the cookie smell. Love Main St. Bakery and we were just talking about the scent of vanilla so it gets my vote.

Otherwise so many Disney smells, I also think of:

Spaceship Earth
Popcorn
Funnel Cake
Mickey Waffles
Ghirardelli chocolate
Smoked Turkey Legs

I haven't been to WDW, but my favorite Disneyland smell is just the overall Main Street SCENT. The popcorn, the fudge, the cookies, the flowers, the grass, the sun, that air condition-y smell all combine to make a wonderful Main Street scent. And its awesome!!!

Oh there are so many! I love the Poly so the smell walking into the lobby is intoxicating.

The Grand Canyon Concourse used to have a chocolate counter at BVG. I could swear that there was a smellitizer there because the chocolate smell was so good. I ended up buying a chocolate candle from Yankee to recreate that delicious scent. However the chocolates and their scent are gone now :(

I like the distinct smell of walking into Adventureland. It is very earthy and kind of green pepper-y. Very different.

There is nothing like the water attraction smell. I personally think it is more musty than stale. But it is still like a memory overload when I smell it.

Great thread! Here are my family's votes:

- Christmas Parade Smells
- something around Gastons fountain in NFL
- citrus in old Horizons
- werthers store
- Christmas shops
- sun screen

But I have not noticed the hotel lobby smells ... Guess we better go check it out!

No votes so far for the barnyard smell on the monorail - go figure....

Gonna have to jump on the Polynesian lobby band wagon...takes me back to my childhood and brings a smile to my face every time i walk into that building. I wish they had a candle or something to sell which had that smell.

I like the smell of the Poly lobby. But I admit I do like that stale water ride smell, too.

The lobby at the Polynesian. Mmmmmmmmm.....

So much so that i have even started a thread in the past based on just the smell of the poly lobby. I wish I could bottle it up and take it home.

For me it would have to be the Poly lobby and the distinct smell of the Pirates ride.

Poly Lobby

Although it wasn't a choice, the Magical Express busses have a smell that reminds of of excitement.

I love the smell of all the water rides, and the perfume in Norway Laila! I had to get it!

What exactly does the Poly lobby smell like?

I think it's a combination of the flowers/plant life and the water. Its somewhat tropical...um...yeah, not really sure how else to describe it. It's just very distinct to me. I don't even know if the smell would be that great for everyone (my wife thinks its just ok), but to me it's just extremely nostalgic b/c that was where we stayed when i was kid on my first trip. As soon as i get a get a whiff all these memories and emotions come rushing back, and i feel like a little kid.

I had trouble choosing! But for some reason I LOVE the smell of the water rides! Lol! Also, just the smell of the hotel room at Coronado Springs .. heavenly. I CAN'T WAIT TO SNIFF STUFF IN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS! :) :p

The smell of my friend Bryan't toots after he eats and drinks his way through Epcot!!!

I don't know what the best smell is but the oddest is The Land PAvillion. I think with the water from Living with the Land mixing in wiht the food from Garden Grill and Sunshine Seasons it just makes for a very odd smell. Am I the only one who thinks so? Also the worst smell is the Monorail. It smells like a monkey cage that hasn't been cleaned in a week.
