Universal/IoA secrets

If you go to UF at park opening, tour in a counter-clockwise direction. Everyone else seems to go clockwise and you'll have the place to yourself for the morning. Awesome picture taking opportunities!

Here are some tips that I found at various sites. Please bear in mind that I've not yet been to USF/IOA so I don't know if all of these things are still in existence, or even what some of the surprises are, but perhaps others that know the parks well can chime in.

Production Central-
Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit- You have the opportunity to select a song for your ride. If you hold the Rip Ride Rockit logo down for 10 seconds, there are hidden bonus tracks to choose from.

Shrek's Ye Olde Souvenir Shoppe- Check out the mirror behind the cashier.

New York
Revenge of the Mummy- Macraven mentioned that some of the things posted about Mummy are no longer valid, so I don't know if this is still there but, in the Tomb of Imhotep, there was a scarab beetle. If you pressed it while it glowed blue, it would let out a blast of air on people further down the line and you could watch their reaction on video camera.
Also, there is a small rectangular chamber in the tomb portion of the queue. To the right, as you enter, there is a hole with treasure. Try to grab it.

World Expo
Men In Black- In the queue, once you are past the elevators, jiggle any of the door handles and you'll get a surprise.
Kwik-E-Mart- There's a phone on the wall outside the store. Pick up the receiver and listen.

Seuss Landing
If I Ran The Zoo- near the exit there is a creature that is quarantined beneath the ground. There is a plaque there that explains why the creature is quarantined. Walk on the plaque and circle it for a surprise.
Snookers & Snookers Sweet Candy Cookers- there are Sneetch footprints outside the shop. Step on the one closest to the front of the store for a special message.
Sneetch Beach- it’s alongside the lagoon, off the shortcut to WWoHP. The radio on the beech plays news reports and music.

WWoHP
The Three Broomsticks- When you are facing the front of it, go to your left; there is a walkway and a window that displays a bunch of dishes. You can hear the dishes clattering and being cleaned.
If you eat here, from time to time you’ll see the shadows of house elves and delivery owls at work on the walls.
Hog’s Head- stand by the staircase, where you can hear a maid complaining from above.
Zonko’s Joke Shop- try eavesdropping on the Extendable Ears that dangle from the ceiling near the sales register.

Jurassic Park
Camp Jurassic- The dinosaur footprints roar if you stand on them.

Toon Lagoon
Gasoline Alley- the oil cans spring leaks of water and the tires leak air.

you won't find that in the mummy express line.

i was there, but don't recall if there was a message.

Also in the WWOHP, in both the men and women's restrooms, you can sometimes hear Moaning Myrtle.

This one is true. But it's more fun if you know what track number to push. Here's a link to the track numbers: http://attractionsmagazine.com/blog/2009/08/20/hidden-songs-confirmed-on-rip-ride-rockit-coaster/

Thanks for the link! I like some of those hidden songs a lot. :thumbsup2

subscribing, simply cause im too tired to read this tonight and may not find it again.

Sorry if someone has already mentioned this, but supposedly the airplane that is in the harbor at Royal Pacific was once rented and flown by Howard Hughes.

Anyone know if the Kong tributes in Mummy are still there? Would love to try and find them.

Awesome! I will be looking for them this weekend!!!!!:cool1: but before I possibly get whiplash, can anyone confirm if the Kongfrontation tracks are still in the ceiling? I've read multiple articles about this and I would love to see them.

Not really a park secret, but the sick Triceratops in Jurassic Park 1 is located at the minature golf course over at Give Kids the World Village.

Not many people know this one... By E.T there is a playhut for kids. If you go in the very back there is a water slide that includes a raft!

Also in the WWOHP, in both the men and women's restrooms, you can sometimes hear Moaning Myrtle.

Here's an article I did on some "secrets" of the Wizarding World.

Other things to look for are the incredible Monster Book of Monsters in Dervish and Banges (along with Tom Riddle's diary and much more), Gilderoy Lockhart's book collection in one of the faux shops next to Ollivander's, and the Weasley's Ford Anglia from Chamber of Secrets film prop is used in the Dragon Challenge queue. There's so many things that you really need to keep "your head on a swivel" wherever you go!

:wave2: Just wanted to bump this a little! Really want some more, up to date, secrets for when I go in a month! :Pinkbounc

it would be great if you started a new thread.
this one has many outdated items listed in it.

the darkside has really grown and changed since this thread started 9 years ago in sept 2005.

and
on the men in black ride on the hat table there's a Cat in the Hat hat an obvious reference to Seuss Landing in IOA!!

Next year when I return I'll see if I can find more!!
BTW I loved finding some of these secrets my fav was the one in Port of Entry with the "see ya!" message!!
