The Official DisDads Prayer and Praise Thread

Another update. My Inlaws were able to move back in their house for Thanksgiving. They didn't cook there as they travelled to other family members, but they were thankful to be back home. Thanks for the prayers.

Glad everything worked out :thumbsup2

Just an update to let you all know that it took about six weeks but we had a truly dedicated doctor and a great HR staffer at my work who have been dogging the insurance company for the past six weeks and we just found out today that they have finally approved payment on DD's medications for the next 6 months. We will have to fight them again, but it is a start. She has been responding very well to the last six weeks of what they had approved and I am becoming an expert in at-home injections. We will start the taper and swap out from the stop-gap drugs to the main drugs this weekend.

SO... while we are all celebrating THANKSgiving tomorrow I will be a little extra thankful for the great medical care and solid insurance coverage (even if we have to fight them) that is keeping my daughter with us this year! (Well, that and the fact we have a bit over three weeks on our next trip countdown.:rotfl:)

Puts things in perspective. Glad things are looking up guys.

Good news...our neighbor next to the vacation home :-)headache:) called and said that the power company was through and cut down a tree that I had wanted removed for about the last 9 years. Glad it was hanging over the wires. Saved me over $1500 if I don't get a bill for it.

Hooe they don't send you in a bill in the mail. But, at least the tree is gone.

Hey guys,

Im gonna go ahead and ask for support from you guys, and my time on here may be severely limited over the next 4-5 months. Our schedule at work just exploded with work that was not planned and it looks like its going to suck being the only subject matter expert in the office for a while. :scared:

Matt, may God give you the Strength and Good will to carry this load!

Thanks Guys. I honestly don't know how we are going to get all of this done in the allotted time. Add to that, my co worker who usually helps me is getting moved to another function full time, and we have no guides from the prime integrator and I'm pounding my head against the wall.

But, I guess I can pay Santa off with the OT.

Prayers... I'm fixing to be in the same boat next Spring... Longtime co-worker is retiring in April... and I don't think they plan on replacing him... even if they do... will take a couple of years to properly train said replacement...and guess who would have to do that. :teacher:

OT is good though... :thumbsup2

Prayers for you and your family. Lots of stress coming up, but good to know they think you can do the job.

Hey Steve... How is Allison and Family?

Hey Nate.....Allison is doing ok. She is still wheelchair bound. However, she is learning to drive! She will never walk again but they have somehow managed to get driving lessons for her with some special equipment of course. I am sure that it will help to give her a sense of independance whether she ever owns a vehicle or not. She is doing well in school and is still VERY involved with the church. The girl has more faith than I have ever seen. She is truly an inspiration. The case went to trial a couple months ago against the person who hit them and killed her Dad, and due to some sort of technicality...the scum bag got off scott free eventhough he was stung out on drugs at the time of the accident!! Her younger brother that was in the car with them is doing well but having a very heard time dealing with the loss of Dad. The two older boys have both graduated high school and both wer valedictorians of their classes. Richard would have been so proud!! Dale (Mom) remains a rock of strength. She has to be one of the strongest women I have ever seen. I am sure that when she is alone that emotions take over, but she focuses herself on the needs of others and of the church! Thanks for asking about them!! They are a wonderful family that God is using in a mighty way!!!:thumbsup2

Pray for all effected by the shooting at the school in CT.
