I love it so I'm now giving it for Christmas!

Thanks to this thread I have now bought a Trevis Tumbler, Butter Bell and the book "Ready Player One" and am considering the huggable hangers.

For those that have the huggable hangers do they really save that much room in your closet vs. other types of hangers?

If you (or the person Ready Player One is for) like it, you'll be happy to know the author just announced the sale of his second book, titled "Armada" that will be about "the ultimate wish-fulfilment for every video game fan on the planet."

The Huggable hangers do save a lot of room. We now have them in all of our closets. Another great feature is the hangers have a velvet like texture which keeps clothes on the hangers- even silks and wide necked blouses.

:sad2: Be careful giving stuff that is made from animals...like the Alpaca stuff. DH was rubbing my sore back with some emu oil several years back that we got from a local provider. It had a eucalyptus scent. About 5 minutes after he finished his fingers where the size of corn dogs and the skin was starting to peel :scared:. So was it the emu or the eucalyptus?? :scratchin The world may never know.

My point is who would have ever known that? DH used to work for a vet too.
I cannot be around cats--didn't figure that out until I was in High School and my Mom adopted one.

Just a thought.

Now I must leave work, go home, and look up the Eviltron thingy.

I swear, I could just happily hand over my whole paycheck to ThinkGeek... lol. I  that place so much!

Speaking of them and gifts, if anyone has a guitar-playing child/spouse/friend/whatever, the guitar pick punch that ThinkGeek has is awesome. I got DS one last Christmas and he *loves* his!! You can take any old card that is no longer used and make your own custom guitar pick. It's SO cool. Functional, and sentimental. DS has used old KTTW cards, used-up gift cards, arcade cards, you name it, and made really cool guitar picks. There's a window so you can line up a specific part of the card (like Mickey!) and punch it out just in the right spot. It's just a really cool gift. :)

Thank you!!!! My dd will LOVE this!!! Thank you so much for the idea!

I am allergic to lanolin. According to my allergist, it's a pretty common allergy. So your DH reacting to emu oil wouldn't surprise me, it seems to be sort of along the same lines.

Love this thread! There are some great ideas/items that I would have never known about!!

Depends on the type of hangers you are using now. If you're using skinny wire hangers, then it will probably be an equivalent, or maybe even a little bit more, amount of room. If you're using those plastic hangers that come in a bunch of colors, then the huggables will definitely save you room. Personally, they did save me quite a bit of space because I was using so many plastic ones. Also, like another poster said, the material is velvety so it keeps fabric on the hanger instead of some of those fabrics that love to slide off of plastic hangers. Just read the reviews for the hangers - I ended up getting the 'real' Joy Mangano ones from the Container Store (they're sold other places too) because of the consistent reviews regarding their durability. Other brands that were less expensive didn't have the consistent reviews and many mentioned them breaking, etc.

Heres another one since you all are enjoying this thread!!

Thank you for the info on Tervis Tumblers. That's all I let my kids use on my dining room table, but I did not know they worked for hot beverages!! I just ordered a mug for me and one for my Dad for Xmas. Thank you!!

I mentioned this earlier in the thread, but figured I'd post again. If anyone is looking for Tervis, you can get them discounted at www.beallsflorida.com. They have 15% off everything through today, but I have gotten Tervis from them at times when they've had 25% or even 30% off everything, so keep an eye out!

Well thanks to this thread, my MIL is getting a custom made tervis tumbler with pictures of the grandkids while FIL is getting a grid-it thingy. DH keeps mentioning that eviltron, thinks it'd be great to hide at work near the boss no one really likes. :lmao:

I ordered an Open-It for Christmas morning thanks to this thread! Don't let me down, Dis! :lmao:

We got a great deal on the floor model of the cuisinart at costco but I think we are going to return it. DH doesn't like that it 'squishes' the sandwiches.
