I love it so I'm now giving it for Christmas!

I can't speak to hot coffee (don't drink it) so hopefully someone else can. They are AWESOME for cold drinks...don't sweat at all. I would imagine with the insulation they'd be great for hot too. And they have a lifetime warranty!

If you end up wanting to get some, keep an eye on www.beallsflorida.com - they often have 25-30% off sitewide (today they're just at 15% off) and they carry Tervis. That is where I have gotten almost all of mine. They also carry them at Bed Bath & Beyond and you can use their coupons on them.

My parents winter in Florida, and my mother goes to Bealls a lot. I'll tell her to watch for them for me.

awesome! i bought my boss a tervis for Christmas (with the SC gamecocks logo on it-he's a fanatic!) and he drinks coffee all day long!

now i just have to find the handle for it...

Any idea how to get the coffee stain out of them? I still don't know if they are BPA free. I emailed Tervis and they said the newer ones should be???

I got a Cuisinart Griddler last Christmas and it is my favorite way to cook. It is a bit expensive although I've seen them for sale on Woot or 1saleaday as refurbished for $40 but I have gotten every penny out of it. I use it at least once every week. It makes terrific hamburgers and grills steaks to perfection! This year I'm asking for the additional waffle plates to make it a waffler too.

Just bought one of these in perfect like new condition at Godwill for $14.99. I would love to know what all you cook with it. So far I've only made sandwiches! Great quality and works perfect.

LOL, "Godwill". Sorry, couldn't help it. :)

I had a Tervis Tumbler up until this past week when I found out that they don't survive a "tumble" off the counter. :D I loved it, though, for hot and cold drinks. It didn't really hold in the heat, but I liked the size I had. They would make great gifts.
:)

This should not happen, but it is nice to know that if it does, send the pieces to Tervis and they will replace it. No receipt needed. If it has their name on it, they will stand by it.

The open-it. http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=14757910
It is a scissor/knife tool that makes opening all those kid presents a breeze. It even has a little screw driver. It's our favorite gift to give.

:lmao: I do not miss those days but could have used that! I remember spending almost all of one Christmas day opening those darn gift packagings & untwisting those metal coated ties while DH napped.

We don't have a Cuisinart version but do have a big griddle with reversible flat/ridged sides and LOVE it. We use it mostly for hamburgers, pork chops, and pancakes. It is easy to use and cleans up nicely!

1) Tervis Tumblers

2) Joy Mangano Huggable Hangers - I started with a few and have now converted my whole closet! I had no idea how much I would love them!

I love, love, love my Tervis! I use it daily on my Diet Coke and DD has a few that she loves too.

Fun thread! I can't think of anything new to add right now but I'll be thinking and checking back for ideas.

Another vote for the tumblers - I have a large one for my hot tea, and a smaller cold one (with a straw) for my water + crystal light.

The only issue I have is with the crystal light powder. It's all stuck in the crevices of the twisty top and makes it look dirty :( I suppose I could take a toothbrush to it?

:) I would have to agree with Tervis Tumblers--every person in my family and extended family has gotten one from me--with a logo perfect for them.

Everything from Star Wars to Sweet Tea logos.

I just don't get the appeal. ok, best thing is they don't sweat. but I hate ice in beverages watering them down. I am spoiled by using frozen mugs, there is no contest in keeping beverages cold.
welll yea, the frozen mugs sweat & drip....... a lot;)
but can't beat the slushy cold...

( we use coasters & placemats..)

Darn auto correcting IPad! Goodwill of course!

You could try reusable ice cubes? http://www.bedbathandbeyond.com/product.asp?SKU=16143944

I understand though. I love frozen mugs.

use a baking soda slightly moistened with water (paste consistancy) and just just rub it in the glass. it works on tea stains too and on just about any surface.

I used to give out the LLBean Personal Organizer travel bag. I kind of cut back because the price used to be much cheaper and they now have less colors- but I still love them!

Harney and Son's teas. I drink them loose but for other people I buy the silk sachets:

Teas in little silk sachets are one of those really elegant simple luxuries.

We tend to go for little things and consumables - no one has room in their houses for much, and we've been fortunate - everyone in our family has what they need.
