Any rumor when 2014 dates come out?

In the winter months, you can only sail warm climates. Most people wouldn't sail to others. I figure thats why all 4 are in FL for the first part of the year. In summer, the classics will most likely move away, as theoretically the caribbean is less of a seller in the summer. It is also the time of the year that places like Alaska are in 'season'. Many cruise lines ships winter in FL and move on to other ports in the summer and fall.

Ah and the classics don't have the dates past May yet right? Still 2 ships in the summer there?

....You Think!....and wait till they open up the port over in Tampa....Only a hour and 45 minutes to WDW......Heard that news from a bus driver going to the Magic Kingdom........don't laugh ......he was right about the 2014 booking starting first week of DEC.....can not wait to cruise around CUBA 5/10/2014.

I would LOVE THAT!!!

Since I cannot afford not want to pay for the Aug Fantasy prices, ill hold off & hope for something better on the Magic......

I live a stone's throw from the Tampa port so would love that... buuuuuuuuuuuuut

Is there a pier available or are t hey all "owned" by CCL, RCCL, HAL and NCL? Also... I've heard rumors they may be moving the port to Clearwater (to accomodate larger ships)

Looks like our New Years on the fantasy will be out of the question. Trying to convince everyone to go on mid August. But DW now wants to go on a 4n dream and then it the parks... Ugh...

I'm still stunned that the Dream and the Magic are doing identical itineraries! Way to "shake it up" Disney!

Has anyone seen any special sailings for the Magic, like a double dip? Or is it just the same old same old 3 and 4 days? That's all I've read about, but was hoping I might be wrong.

They depart on different days. The 3-night cruises are Thursday - Sunday (Dream) and Friday - Monday (Magic). The 4-night cruises are Sunday - Thursday (Dream) and Monday - Friday (Magic). Naturally - cruises on the Magic cost less.

We booked New Years on the Fantasy for 2013 when prices were first released (12/28 Eastern). With the 10% OBB, price was $5,565 - CHEAPEST stateroom on baord. I have to think it will be higher this year given the summer pricing. My guess is that the price will be comparable to mid-summer pricing.

But you never know whats in store. You may be able to do New Years on the Magic for less. Just depends on where they take her. So, the waiting begins . . . AGAIN!

You think those Friday to Monday Magic cruises will turn into weekend "Booze cruises" since you can BYOB and it's over the weekend? LOL

Cheapest as in category ?

All booked for January 2014 on the Fantasy. So thrilled with my travel agent. She's the one who posted the dates upthread in an email to her clients and she was spot on with everything! :thumbsup2

Let the countdown begin!

Cheapest price which turned out to be lowest category available - 11C. We've never cruised at this time of year before, but I REALLY wanted to do a New Years cruise, so I bit the bullet and booked it. Not used to paying that price.

I wouldn't think it would be more of a "booze cruise" than the current Thursday - Sunday Dream cruises. However, since the price will be lower on the Magic - time will tell. Friday - Monday is when Royal Caribbean sails from PC on their 3-night cruises.

Agree on wanting to try :) Thanks for reply.

Sailing Christmas week this year. It's also something we always wanted to do :)

I just did an apples to apples comparision of the same week cruise on the Fantasy. For a family of 4 with 2 kids ages 7 & 3 (I did the comparison based on 3 and not 2) in a Category 4D the cruise price increase for opening day pricing was 19%. I'm just not sure how Disney can justify increasing the price on opening day 20% in one year.

For a detailed breakdown here is is.

March 9, 2013 Fantasy Eastern Category 4D
Adult 1 - 1582
Adult 2 - 1582
Child 1 - 798
Child 2 - 798
Taxes - 323.88
Total - 5083.88

March 8, 2014 Fantasy Eastern Category 4D
Adult 1 - 1974
Adult 2 - 1974
Child 1 - 903
Child 2 - 903
Taxes - 310.48
Total - 6064.48

The only difference is that 2013 is Eastern B with San Juan and 2014 is Eastern A with St. Maarten.

Thanks for this rundown! Gives me hope we might just go. Prices looked worse than this but never had comparison close to what I was looking for. 20% increase is CRAZY especially when you consider that most of the crew we see day to day get paid $0 unless we pay our tips. Fuel/food prices have not gone up 20% so this is corporate greed. Prices in parks up to. was in WDW for dance the magic with dd and tshirts now average $30+/-. :(

I'd rather have the one with San Juan -- at least it's a newer port ;)

All I can say is WHOA! I was just quoted $9727 for cat 4b 2a3c june 29-july 5. $2000 more than a superior balcony room on allure of the seas...It pains me but I think Disney just priced me out. $475 on board credit and more the 1200 in free gas by using gift cards still make this look crazy hard to save for even over two years!
