Fantasy 2014 Opening Day Compiled Pricing Thread

2a 2c (15 and 11) - April 12 Fantasy Western (returns day before Easter) - 5C - $5727 with onboard discount. $200 obc from DCL and $250 obc from DU. No insurance, transfers or toilet paper in the room.

I am painfully booked. We will carefully consider as the payment date approaches.

This will be number 7 - so, we obviously love DCL cruises -- but, ay yi yi. More than $200 per person/per day before airfare, tranfers, extras or gratuities!

My kids will have to choose...college or DCL!

Holy cow if these prices stay true...Looks like next year, 2013, will be our last DCL for a very long time. Makes me sad.

Desi....don't know where all these "heavy" prices are coming from....no pun intended...don't give up the ship.........We at 2 pm today traded our cat 7a 4/20/2013 eastern for a cat 7a 5/10/2014 western fantasy and the price only went up less than 80 bucks.

Umm....they are coming from DCL!!!! Even my TA thought they were absurd.

May 10th is during the school year. The awful "heavy" prices are summer & some spring break cruises. The cruises during the school year are still fairly reasonable.

I am confused...so you booked the same amt of people in 2 of the same category rooms so why the diff in price?

Really wish I hadn't fallen so low in the hold queue when I dialed in at 8:00 AM on the dot. It would have been nice to get the glitch pricing, but May dates were unavailable by the time I got through. Oh well. Congrats to the lucky DISers who got it!

Can you tell me what the price was per adult and child? I am looking at a 6B for this cruise in the morning and trying to figure out the price.

Seems like a good price to me too.

I am so confused as to why it is cheaper to cruise Easter week than in August. I suppose it boils down to supply and demand. I'm just surprised.

April 12th - week before Easter (which is more popular school wise than the week of Easter - and slightly higher than April 19th)
2A 2K 11C 5,110 but 4631 with OBB - Ouch - I don't know if I will keep this but I am doing it.

I am not happy with this price at all. I was expecting much lower like 3K

Exactly! That is what you use to be able to cruise for in summer in a porthole. Offseason rates were much lower.

We were almost on board with you I booked this and for us three it was $4200ish with OBB which was high, but not nearly what summer was. As she was finishing it up, I googled my son's school calendar (which isn't out yet ) and it appears the options for SPring Break in 2014 change to the week prior to Easter instead of the week after so I quickly changed it to the 4/12 departure - which will now include my bday on the 16th!

I just hope the calendar is right - I'd prefer the Eastern...but switched based on what's on the internet now for the possible school calendar.
