Fantasy 2014 Opening Day Compiled Pricing Thread

Just changed an existing reservation from 2013 to 2014 -

March 15, 2014 2 Adults, no ins, no transfers $2,810.30. This does include the on board discount since I booked this cruise on the ship.

2013 price was $2,865.04, so a bit cheaper to book 2014.

I also tried to book two other dates of May 24, and May 31 and they do not have that information right now. I will need to call back later. She did tell me that they have some information on cruises in June, but the dates in May I wanted are not available yet on the Fantasy. :(

There's only been a couple of examples given so far, but it seems that the Western itineraries with Jamaica seem to be priced higher than the other sailings.

And of course, that's what I want. Oh well, I'll wait on our price tomorrow and will probably book it with a minimum deposit and then give it A LOT of thought before 2014.

That was the reason that the agent I talked to gave for the price being higher in July than April. From what I have seen; however, Jamaica isn't all that as ports go. Also, the eastern 7/26 is only $45.00 less than the jacked up western price 7/19. I think that they just set the summer rates were the 2013s started so they wouldn't lose a bunch of 2013 reservations based on the price difference.

3/1/2014 - 7nt Western 2A/1C(14), 10% OBB, No Insurance, No Transfers
8C $3,434.25
8A $3,484.65
5C $3,736.65
4D $3,938.25

6/14/2014 - 7nt Eastern 2A/1C(14), 10% OBB, No Insurance, No Transfers
8C $4,721.46
8A $4,822.26
5C $5,811.36
4D $6,063.36

For comparison of other cruises we're looking at that week in March:

RCCL - Independence 8nt Eastern (from FLL w/ St. Maarten, St. Kitts, San Juan, Haiti): D1 balcony room = $3,699.13

HAL - Westerdam 7nt Eastern (from FLL w/ Grand Turk, San Juan, St. Maarten, Half Moon Cay): VF balcony room = $3,037.98

NCL - Dawn 7nt Western (from TPA w/ Honduras, Belize, Costa Maya, Cozumel): MA mini-suite = $2,614.82

Celebrity - Silhouette 7nt Easter (from FLL w/ San Juan, St Kitts, St Maarten): Concierge Class balcony = $3,502.58

Princess - Crown 7nt Southern (from FLL w/ Princess Cay, Curacao, Aruba): ME mini-suite = $3,877.00

The RCCL, HAL and Celebrity rooms would be about 20 sq ft smaller than a classic DCL room, NCL about the same size and Princess bigger.

The prices for the DCL cruise I think are what I expected for March (it is about $300 more than we are spending in October), but there are many options out there for different itineraries and lower or equal prices and you'd get a balcony or even an extra night in the case of the RCCL cruise. We'll be thinking this one over.

2 adults, 3 children, ages 5, 2, and infant. No insurance or transfers.

March 23, 2014 7 night Eastern Caribbean

8D: $5,467.30
4D: $6,300.30
2 connecting 11C: $6,377.30

Only on hold for about 10 minutes.

I think you might mean March 22, 2014

I'm going to have her check Aug 9 (eastern) to see how it compares.

Still waiting on my March 8 quote

I am looking for the cost of a western on May 10, 2014 on the Fantasy for 3 adults, in a category 10a or 9B.

MANY THANKS! IF anyone can found this out.

Booked this morning :dance3:

May 10, 2014
Cat 10A 2 Adults

Should mention .. I had a dummy booking that I booked on my last cruise... don't know if this makes a difference in price? Can't remember

Hopefully you'll be joining us! No cruise thread yet. Waiting for someone to start one

April 12 Western Fantasy
2a/2k (7,8)
11b
$4586 OBB/no ins/no transfers
would have done an OC but it would have been 500 more for an 8d

Only on hold for 15 minutes~spoke w/an great agent named Angie
Moved 2013 cruise deposit & OBC of $200 to:

Fantasy 7 day Eastern April 19, 2014 (Easter Week)
1A 1C (age 14 at sailing time)
Cabin Category 8A
Early dining confirmed
$3100 cruise fare & taxes/port fees
Will add insurance when I pay in full

I am a happy Disney cruiser! :yay: :woohoo: :cheer2: Saved about $1000~surprised & happy!

I did ask her about Alaska in 2014 & she said they are not sure if they will be sailing there or when they might release the info/dates if they do. FYI.

Seems good compared to some of the other fares but that's what I paid in February for a 7A 1A 1C for Easter 2013 (with 10% discount, no insurance or transfers). Seems like opening day prices are higher this year. Not sure I will rebook onboard.

Feb 15

1A 2C 11C $4061.45 no insurance, no transfers, no discount
1A 1C 11C $3034.30 same

June 7

1A 2C 11C $4605.96 no insurance, transfers or discounts
1A 1C 11C $3504.64 same

I booked neither, and moved my dummy date to a 4 night in October 2013. Our longer cruises will likely not be on DCL anymore :sad1:

I'm happy with the spring rate compared with summer rates. I have no desire to go to Jamaica again & love the Eastern itinerary. Spring weather is mild & not so hot especially when touring the ports. IMHO. I also LOVE the 8A cabins! So the itinerary & cabin I wanted was available my spring break week on the Fantasy so I moved my 2013 summer cruise. It worked out well for me today!
I will rebook onboard to receive the 10% discount & OBC even if I move the cruise date. Looking to go to Alaska in 2015 or 2016.

I am the "researcher" for our large Disney group thats looking for June 2014, but when we are looking to book like 13 rooms, and prices running at over $250 a day pp, I don't know if our group will be "game" for those prices. I was looking forward to it too...

Summer rates are crazy these days. When we sailed in 2009, they were much cheaper than Spring break. $3K for Easter week is a great rate.

Glad you got what you wanted. This definitely seems like a deal compared to a lot of what I'm seeing.

March 8th on Fantasy

5E 2A 1C $4234.26 includes OBB.

We booked it, and it's overpriced.

I'm in the same boat. I'm a little afraid to tell my SIL these prices.

Thank you! When the agent said $3000 I was thinking per person & NOT! But when that was the total I was a happy cruiser! I said "Book it please!"

I am interested in seeing the online pricing tomorrow & how it compares to opening day pricing. Yes, I remember spring break/Easter pricing used to be higher than early summer pricing & now that isn't the case. Maybe because there are so many spring break weeks now & not the one traditional one at Easter week.

I don't think that's a bad price at all. So wish that I wasn't tied to a school calendar.
