7/26/14 8D 2A2K 6414.28 [fare 6085.80, taxes 328.48] w/ OBB discount

Typing this out I just realized that the cruise fare is the exact same for the western and easter in July. I remember when there use to be a definite difference in price between the two itineraries.

Sweet, thanks for posting! According to my calculations, this will translate into about $4200 - $4300 for me with my hubby and two little kids. Doable, but I was hoping to get a family stateroom with verandah for that price.

Glad to help. Just got the official reservation so I can break down the prices a little better:

Adult Fare: $1,309.00 each
Vacation Insurance: $209.44
Taxes & Fees: $164.24

Deposit: $261.80

Any ideal when online bookings open tomorrow?

It is suppose to be 8 a.m. ET also. There are usually delays getting the system up and working; however, so be prepared to have to call in. I recommend calling in regardless. The 2013 rates opened online a bit earlier but the system wouldn't let you finalize the reservation. I was glad that I called in so that I could transfer my cruises.

Wow these prices are high!! We were looking at an Aug 2014 date but don't think that it's going to happen with these prices..

Can someone please prices these dates for me! Pretty Please :)

2A3K (8,6,3) Cat 8

March 1
May 10

Thank you!

I don't have exact pricing that you need on the Cat 8 for March 1, but with the 10% OBB, in the Cat 8A we booked (other cats should be slightly less), we are at $1,260 per adult and $718.20 for our DS(14). Taxes for all three of us were $246.45 ($82.15 per person).

Based on that, I would say you'd be looking in the neighborhood of $5,085 ($1,260x2 + $718.20x3 + $82.15x5). My guess is it would be less as your kids are younger (can't remember how much it goes up when they get over 12) and the category would be 8B-D.

Hope that helps.

Cat. 4D

I am hoping to book the following week (May 31) in a Cat 4C. This is around what I am expecting. It will probably be bit more for my week. Thanks for posting!

I'm hearing from a source almost 30k for cat R, up from 17ish in 2013. A big jump, to be sure. I can confirm tomorrow.

Thank you! It sure does! That's about 700$ more than we paid for this past September's cruise..

That's what the Cat Rs go for on the 7 night Fantasy w/ 2A and 2C in the peak season this year. Cat Ts are about $17K .. Maybe that is what you are thinking of.

Only $700 more than a September cruise isn't bad. September is one of the least expensive months to go.

I'm not surprised or alarmed with the price we got, $3,485, for March. We are holding an 8A room in October '13 for $3,157. To go up only $328 from Fall to Winter is reasonable. You have two more guests, so that would theoretically mean you'd be about $500-$550 more than our Oct '13 cruise, so $700 over a Sept '12 is good IMHO.

However, comparing DCL to the other cruise lines for that week (see my early post, #44), DCL is definitely up there in price.

Don't forget...you have three days to make your 10% deposit...you don't have to pay when you book, and then you can do the payment online unless you placed the ressie already with a TA.

Does the 3 days to pay the deposit apply even when moving a dummy date? Thanks

Not surprised. A Cat. T for 3A/2C for the 6/7/2014 Fantasy is $20,402.60. We passed. This summer we will be doing a 14 night EBTA in a Cat. T, a 9 night Baltic in a suite on another cruise line, a few days in Copenhagen and about a week in Paris... a total of about 30 days out of the country for about that price.

You would have already paid a deposit for your dummy date. I had to pay an extra $49 this morning. Didn't ask, and they didn't say, that I had 3 days. For $49, didn't care.

They did only require the 10% down though.

Correction, make that 400$ difference, we paid around 4600 not 4300.. So that's not bad actually. Our kids are young enough that we can pull them out of school for a week without worrying about them missing tests and such. This is why we are not so concern about dates..mostly a good price!

The quote you gave me was this for the March or May date?

We could get a NCL 8 night Eastern Caribbean for about 4000$.. Departing from NY
