Looking for suggestions on what the best activities to do while it's raining in WDW?!

Hit the parks! Everyone else will stay home walk on everything!

For us it depends on how hard it is raining and what part of your vacation it is raining. If it's your first and not raining too hard. Go to the Parks. It may be raining at your resort but not raining at whatever park. If it is in the middle of your vacation I would use that day for a rest day. I live in Florida the weather can be tricky. I have also been at Disney and it will be raining at the MK but not at HWS.

That's the best time to be at the parks. Just avoid the puddles, bring a poncho & ride whatever is operating.

We were at AK when it decided to rain. We whipped out our poncho's and enjoyed the near empty park as a lot of people decided to head out of the park. Its only water why let it ruin your day.

Get a poncho and stay in the parks!!!! The crowds will thin and there should be little wait lines.

Have a poncho and be ready. Stay in the parks. If it is a light rain it feels nice and won't slow you down. If you get hit with a thunderstorm and three inches of rain in twenty minutes it is a good time to eat or shop and then go to indoor attractions.

I'd much rather tromp thru the rain and have fun than sit around a hotel room....:cool1: wear a raincoat!

I've been in the parks when it down poured (once it was freezing) and we tried to tough it out but even with ponchos we were soaked from head to toe. We had to go back to the room and change so we did some resort shopping and grabbed food while waiting for it to blow over. Generally when it rains and we don't get soaked we shop, go on indoor attractions (waiting in line isn't do bad when it's pouring outside), or grab some food

WDW in the rain is the best.

The people mover at MK is fun to ride & watch the masses run for cover.

AK is awesome in the rain, all the animals became much more active, especially the tigers.

DHS doesn't have much coverage, but heading into the Walt exhibit is nice.

Epcot is just Another story, Soarin gets packed when it rains, so I would suggest heading into the WS.

Rain......nature's fastpass.

:rotfl2: thats terrific ! go in movie ride at DHS and join Gene Kelly in 'Singing in the Rain' eat shop ride laugh at all the people making tracks for the exits convinced they are going to melt like sugar cubes and just have fun

Whatever you do, wear waterproof shoes! One good afternoon tromping through the parks can kill a nice pair of sandals or running shoes. Wear flip flops and splash through the puddles! Oh and be aware they might cancel parades and fireworks. We sat and waited in the rain for a good viewing spot not even thinking about the performers (how egotistical of us lol) and 5 mins before the show it was cancelled. We wish we had just gone on some rides and not bothered.

We got stuck at AK in a deluge and lighting. they closed everything...when i say everything i mean even the food places we closed. We packed it in and got the heck out of dodge. We took a trip target got ponchos and snacks and went back to the hotel. Let the dog out and got dry socks then headed back a few hours later to a still empty park:banana:

The rain never seems to last too long

This is what I am hoping for. We are actually headed to WDW in the next hour. Wednesday is calling for rain, MK Day, hoping it won't last long. Ponchos are already in my park backpack.
Hoping the forecast will change. It is Florida after all.

I definitely agree with everyone else here, rain shouldn't keep you from the parks. When a downpour hits you can always try to find something "indoors" to do to kill the time (I like the people mover in MK). If it is less than a downpour you can get so much more done especially if rain was in the forecast and a lot of other people are sitting back in their hotel rooms.
