Test track soft opening/sneak peak

Does Disney ever open a ride late? Just wondering. We have until 12/8 to try to ride it.

Test Track was opened a full year and a half after the original opening date. So, I guess...yes, they have indeed opened a ride late. Real late!

Fingers crossed they took out whatever section of the ride caused it to go down so often............. :rolleyes1

Yes, they took out the passengers! :) [Joking actually, no clue what caused stoppages at TT, just making a slightly unfunny jab].

Take this with a grain of salt, but heres what 2 managers at epcot said to me today when i asked.

The said test track definitely wont open today (wednesday), wont open this week, but said it would be worth my while to check in early next week.

Who knows what that really means, as they obviously couldnt give me a firm answer, but i give them credit for at least trying to point me in the rightvdirection.

Oooh, I hope so :hyper:! We going to Epcot next Friday!

I wouldn't bet on it. RSR @ DCA is still plagued with down time, and it's based on the same ride system as TT. :(

I, too, have been religiously following this thread. We will be arriving this Tuesday. These boards have really been helpful in planning our trip. Ty, All. I fully intend to reciprocate by also sharing what I'm able to find out about Test Track.
This will be my family's second visit. We're one of the many die hard Test Track families. Of course, the whole thing is so darn magical, we will make do without, if need be.
So glad to be going, at all. I look forward to meeting all of my fellow attendees. May we all help to make this place as magical as that first visit. I made so many friends that I'll probably never see again. Thanks for the memories.

I am going for a quick visit arriving friday the 30th. Epcot day is Saturday. Do they ever do soft openings on the weekends? Kind of figure they don't.

Walked in this morning and a plain clothed cast member overheard me talking with my family about a possible soft open today, and she said they had hoped to this week, but wasn't going to happen until Monday at the earliest.

TT is one of our family's favorite rides so I really hope it's up and running by Christmas time. Last time we were there (in April) we were in danger of missing our 2 favorites (TT and BTMRR) but luckily TT wasn't closed yet.

oh i hope, i hope! we are leaving tomorrow and will be there until 12/1 and we are hoping to get to ride it!!!!

Good to know. It seems to confirm what i was told.

Fingers crossed!! We'll be at Epcot on the 28th and 29th and I'm hoping it will be open!

I will be there this coming Wednesday, fingers crossed it will be open. Any day next week will be fine with me though, I have a AP and I'm staying at Boardwalk so I'll just scoot on over if I hear its open.

We will be at Epcot tomorrow. Hoping there is a chance as well, by far one of my favorite rides at all of Disney.
