Magic Goes Texan! Eight Crazy Nights (3/1/2013 Bahamas)

My family booked a few days ago... great deal for a family of 5 with the 3 kids sailing free! It will be dh and myself, ds 10, ds 7, and dd will turn 4 a couple days before we sail. Dh and I have cruised on carnival(okay) and ncl (horrible) a few times... the kids have never cruised! We have done DL several times, dh and I each went to WDW several times as kids, but the Kids have never been... we live in the DFW area :)

That is definately good news! The time is still at 12:45pm on the website...hoping they fix it soon as it's make me a bit leary!

Note: Our itinerary has been corrected!
The return time for day 5 at WDW is now 12:45 AM. So we have untill 45 minutes after midnight to return.
I wonder if a Magic Cruise bus will be available to return guest all night, like the Disney Resorts do.

Excellent!

We're going to join in the FE exchange! I'll be DH (Paul), myself (Donna), DS 8 (Carson) and DS 7 (Wyatt).

What room does a family of 5 fit in? My Mom is going but has a room attached to ours.

I hope everyone enjoyed their Thanksgiving celebration. I have been on the :surfweb: for days and I am really worried about airfare from Colorado to Texas. It seems the prices are off the charts. miniwitch01 is having the same issue from Northern CA. Does anyone have a suggestion or know of a way around it. The airfare from Northern CA is almost more than the cruise. Help!!!!!

We had to play with airports and dates to find airfare that fit in the budget! We're arriving a day early now and don't fly back home until March 12th. Thankfully our boys are on March break the week after the cruise so that aren't missing out on school while we wait for much more reasonable airfare home!

Good luck...

I have found getting to Houston and then to Galveston to be a huge challenge. I called Enterprise to find out about one way car rentals and was told there was a $100 drop off fee on top of the rental fee, needless to say renting a car to get to Galveston and then back to Houston is no longer a good option. Has anyone else looked into transportation from Houston to Galveston. Hoping to not have to pay $30 per person per way for the Disney shuttle from HOU (not even sure if there is a shuttle from HOU at this point either!).

Look into flying Southwest to Dallas Love and then driving in to Galveston? I don't see airfares going down anytime soon unfortunately :(

I am so new to this but I have read about the fish thread. My husband a I went our 1vacation ever on a cruise on carnival. Now were taking our boys luis 7 & andrew 3. This our 1 real vacation. 1 st time to disney world too we are very excited and cant wait. Can some one help me on how to join the fish extender group

We just cancelled our cruise parking and booked the Hotel Galvez's cruise and stay package. It's a beautiful hotel and has a package with valet parking during your cruise and shuttle to and from the cruise for $145, including tax. Couldn't resist. We're driving in from the Hill Country the night before.

We are Mark, Darlene, DS Finn (age 5 during cruise) & DS Keats (will be 2) from Toronto.

We booked KFO and are looking forward to cruising from Galveston, although the logistics have been much harder than Port Canaveral or even Port of Los Angeles (direct flights are expensive and to IAH only).

Made full payment a couple weeks back and booked flights this morning. Flying in to IAH on Wed. Feb. 27. Planning to spend a night in the Houston area to visit the sites (zoo, kids' museum & NASA - looking for other suggestions) and a pre-cruise night in Galveston.

Rental car is a nightmare (no where to return in Galveston).

We just earned Gold Castaway Club this year. We have only been on the Magic & Wonder (Caribbean twice, Bahamas, Med. & Mexican Riviera).

Looking for a pre-cruise email pal for our 4yo DS (he turns 5 in January).

Has everyone made their bus res for WDW day? Wanted to mention that a Hopper pass is included:

Included in your cruise fare is a 1-day Walt Disney World Resort ticket with Park Hopper® option for each Guest in your travel party. At Port Canaveral, complimentary roundtrip transportation is provided between the ship and the Resort.

I am exhausted thinking about how long/busy that day will be... At least, it is followed by an At Sea day.

We are from Indiana and driving to Chicago to fly into Bush airport staying there and using ground transportation from there. Im paying off our balance for cruise this Friday and my travel agent is booking our Cabana at CC Dec 1st. Last year we had a Cabana with our Make a Wish cruise and cant resist this time. My husband and I leave on a Carnival cruise next week and Im curious how it compares to Disney...pretty sure no one can top Disney:)

Hello Everyone!

I am so excited about our very first cruise in march. My husband and I are giving this as a gift to our girls, 2 and 7, for Christmas. It will also be my daughter 8th when we go. If anyone has any tips for the trips, ideas on how to surprise the girls or information on how to participate in the fish extender I would greatly appreciate it. This will also be our first trip to disneyworld!

Thanks!

Have Mickey call them on Christmas morning:)

Did anyone else notice the time change for departure on our Disney day. It's currently reading 12:45pm...If they really have changed the departure time that drastically I don't see the point in transporting everyone to Disney World for a few hours. I really hope this is an error!
