Disney Cruise Brides!!! Part Deux!!

HAPPY LEGAL CEREMONY DAY TO GINGER AND TIMMY!!!

Did they go? I've been thinking of her!!! I heard they weren't letting them out due to Hurricane Sandy? Hope everyone is safe!

As far as I know, they left! I haven't heard otherwise! When she'd talked to the DFTW planners at Franck's studio, they told her that IF they are unable to dock at Castaway Cay, that they'd just have the ceremony onboard. I know that the Fantasy had some damage this weekend due to Sandy but that was friday or saturday and Ginger didn't set sail until Sunday. The weather was significantly better down here on sunday (MUCH less windy!!) than when Sandy was overhead. (We cancelled both Fantasmic shows on Friday because of the heavy winds. We didn't even load the ampitheater!)

Sending Pixie Dust to our friends in the North Eastern states who are getting slammed by the hurricane! Stay safe!

Thanks for the info Jillian! I've been so worried and thinking of her! I could see why you all cancelled the shows!! Hope you all did not have damage as well.

I'm in NY (upstate). We lost power for a little bit ... we had heavy wind, I'm surprised more damage was not done. My dear friends in PA and New Jersey are getting hammered. Last year at this time we had the nor'easter! Stay safe everyone!

We're back from the wedding!! It all turned out brilliantly despite a little drama from Hurricane Sandy. I'll go into more details later on my PJ (driving back to Texas this week), but I just wanted to pop in to say hi and post a teaser photo. Thank you to everyone for the well-wishes, and a special thank you to Jillian for her soaps. They were incredibly cute and a huge hit with our guests!!

I just submitted a request to be featured in Disney Weddings Blog! Wish me luck! It's so hard to choose only 9 photos to submit!!

While we patiently (or in my case, impatiently!) wait for updates and more phenomenal photos from Ginger, I thought I'd post photos of my Dream wedding for those who don't have time to explore everyone's PJ's and TR's! Oh. My. Goodness. IT WAS REALLY HARD! Haha! As I said, I have 1065 photos! To knock that down to 9 was really hard! I chose a lot of photos with iconic "DCL" things like the chandelier, the smoke stacks, the stairs, etc. Basically, I sent them what I thought they'd want to see! I think only one of them wasn't "iconic" but it was on deck 12 near a railing while we were at sea!

Jillian I'm sending you pixie dust. I think your pictures came out beautiful.

Thanks for your pixie dust, Evi! I really want to help represent the DCL brides among the park and resort brides because so few people know that DCL does weddings so beautifully!

That won't be a problem at all! Just give them to your wedding coordinator on your first meeting on embarkation day! What a cute idea!!! I know I remember seeing several of my guests going for the iced tea, so it's a great (free!) option for non-drinkers!!! (I was clinging to my glass of champagne until we left the celebration!)

There's not a whole lot of activity on this page ever since Ginger, Judy, and I all had our weddings/vow renewal!

Are there any lurkers or prospective brides out there who have questions about DCL weddings? I know that I felt a little lost at the beginning! Within a week of learning about DCL weddings, my DH and I booked it and I don't know what I would've done without the guidance of the brides on this page!! Are there any brides-to-be who want to share their planning experiences? Any crafty brides have DIY projects they want to share?

Lets see if we can get some dialogue going
