Most underrated restaurant at WDW?

It seems like people post about the same restaurants. What is your favorite restaurant you don't hear about much?

I love Olivia's at Old Key West Resort.

I looove Olivia's! The food is always so great.
And unpopular opinion but I love Citrico's, we always go there, the food is so amazing and service is superb too! We always have our New Years Eve dinner there

Trails End. We discovered it three years ago, and at the time I'd heard very very little about it around here. Since then, I've noticed it getting a little more air time, but that could very well be that I'm just noticing it more because it's now permanently on my radar. :lovestruc

Mental note: Check out Olivia's.

I love the 50's Prime Time Cafe, It's always busy, but it's a name that I don't typically see on the boards. They have amazing fried chicken! :thumbsup2

Getting a little bummed :guilty: thought Olivia's was our secret spot (never overly crowded) for the last 15 years or so (DVC member since '94). Guess we're wrong based on all of the PPs who seem to like it as much as we do. Good for them they deserve the Love. :thumbsup2

We've had great meals at the Wave and Grand Floridian Cafe. For signatures, I love Artist Point.

Turf Club by far. We tried it on our June trip and it was outstanding! We are giving up a "real" Thanksgiving Dinner restaurant this year and having Thanksgiving Day dinner there for our upcoming trip!

Sanaa is also on the list. We have tried it twice now. One time was just DH and myself, the next time we took the kids and in-laws. Even though I had planned to skip it for our upcoming trip (which begins THIS WEEK) in favor of some new places, I just made an ADR TONIGHT for it for this week!

On our first trip we made and ADR at GFC for breakfast. The food and service was great. We enjoyed it so much we went back on our most recent trip. The restaurant is beautiful and very quiet. So if you want a nice quiet meal at a beautiful hotel then definitely check out GFC.

Believe it or not we really enjoyed Boatwrights at POR we actually went there cause we were too tired to travel to Whispering Canyon but it was a pleasant surprise and we're glad we did! :woohoo:

We stayed at POR last Oct and ate here because we knew we wanted a "down" day to recoup from park hopping! :cool1: It was one of our best on our trip last year and we ate at Narcoosee's (which, btw, was a bit of a disppointment) DH is the king of prime rib. I think he will go to his grave with prime rib juice on his shirt and he said the prime at Boatwrights was excellent. I had a Cajun dish and it was DD's bday and they treated her like a Queen, not just a princess! :cheer2:

My favorite was Rose & Crown, which seems to get panned a lot on the Dis, but I loved it. Going back again this year.

However, I may need to scope out the Turf Club. Sounds yummy.

EDIT: Ok, you guys talked me into it, now I have an ADR for the Turf club! Now, which one to pay OOP for? OFF TOPIC, sorry!

I have Crystal Palace b-fast
Rose & Crown Dinner
Biergarten Dinner
CRT - not paying OOP, no way!
'Ohana dinner
Boma

I have to agree with the folks who have mentioned the Grand Floridian Cafe. It seems to get lost in the shuffle with all of the higher end restaurants at the GF. However, I have always experienced great food and service. Not a bad idea to jump on the monorail from MK and grab lunch.

We just did this in October and while the food was very good our server - while very friendly - was very slow. We were there for just over two hours for a very simple lunch.

Kona and GF Cafe are still more known than Olivia's and Turf Club

These 2 get love from the DVC'ers like me

I had a Surf and Turf Burger at the Turf Club and all i can say is yes it is lobster and a burger on 1 sandwhich

I'd have to save Grand Flordian Cafe. I had planned a birthday meal for my mom at Citricos, but she needed to leave vacation a day early so I had to change reservations. I was pleasantly surprised by our meal there, it was great. Since then we have had dinner there one other time, and it was also great.

Two years ago, we had dinner at Boatwrights because we decided to leave the parks early and cancel our reservation at Boma. Boatwrights was an unexpectedly great meal too.

:cool2: Wow that surf and turf burger from Turf Club looks pretty good! I must say we had dinner there back in June and 3 of the 4 adults got the Prime Rib and we are STILL talking about...which is why we'll probably have Prime Rib instead of turkey for Thanksgiving this year! The other adult had the fish and he LOVED that too...but we are totally going back for the prime rib!

I must admit now I am very curious about Boatrights and their Prime Rib though! ;)

And, they can make it gluten free! :yay: It's the only time I get fried chicken at a restaurant. Love it.

Trying Olivia's for the first time this trip. Love GF Cafe and Turf Club. Turf Club steaks are really good. We are learning that some of our favorite places are at the resorts as opposed to in the parks. Yes, we like some of them, also but most never venture out of the parks unless they are staying onsite and even a lot of them don't want to leave the parks. That's another thing I love about DVC. We aren't afraid to not spend every waking minute at the parks because we know we will be back in a year or so. It makes the trips less frantic, and we get to enjoy all the little things and all the nice restaurants wherever they are.
