Hello, RC Family!

I'm sorry it has been so long since my last visit - internet issues here and we've all been a bit depressed after our sweet Jackie went to heaven.

Hope everyone is doing wel and safel...(Sarah, praying power returns very soon) .

Will go back and catch up when I get back from a weekend trip to Boston to visit with one of my dearest friends.

So...I need help, please! It has been more years than I can remember since a WDW visit with a young child. My DGD, Sophia, will be going for 2 ngts and one day with my DD - they will stay in a LM room because it is Sophia's only request!

They will have just one park day at MK and must keep it pretty laid back for Sophia - she is 4 and easily overwhelmed and extremely shy.

Here's my dilemma: I know M&M are now in Town Sq - what is the best way to see them? What about Princesses? Ariel and Cinderella are her favorites, but she likes them all, of course.

Oh, and what about the new Fantasyland?? Want them to be well prepared (they will be Jan 28th, 2 ngts, at MK the 29th), so they can see everything Sophia would enjoy.

pas - I did tell DH about the construction issues. He says keep the ressie because at least that way we have a chance! He is more of a glass half full guy then I am. I should take lessons!

dani - I hope we are lounge buddies again! I was so shy last time that I feel we hardly talked! We may end up doing earlier in the month as well, it really depends on what the BB offer covers.

minnie&nana - Sorry for your loss I can't help much with the princess routine except to say that even my boys loved CRT, so I hope they can get it!

UGH!! I just read on the SWW tips thread that rumor has it SWW is only going to be the first two weekends in June next year! As we have already booked airfare, this would NOT be good news!! I mentioned it to DH casually and ended it with "oh well, such is life........right????" The only response I got was "Humpf".

I DID mention changing back to all 3 nights WDW...and was told NO!!! And it's now my last day to change my RPR reservation without penalty (not like that'll stop me) So, no changes

Penalities have never slowed me down. I called yesterday they asked me if it was my first time.WHAT?? Wheres my file? 52 invoices from Disney over the summer, and they thought I was a virgin. Have a great trip.


To everyone else I'm glad you all are safe from the storm.

No idea what I'm doing next year. Dh has 2 weeks off in May and 1 week in Sept. I'm armed and dangerous with Ap's. I'm thinking cruise in May with a little wdw mixed in. Of course that could change multiple times. I'm missing Universal. The only thing I can guarantee is that I'll change my my mind 382 times over the next 5 months.

Dh starts working in LA next week. I'll be alone during the week and working weekends. It's been a stressful month. I'm looking forward to planning my next vacation. I'm also working on getting my cali nursing liscense to do a travel job this summer. What a headache.

I'm not thinking I'll upgrade this time...only because the view isn't something we are going to spend a whole lot of time staring at....but if I get the hankering to do YC instead of BC, I will upgrade out of necessity. For right now...and for over a whole month now...I'm content!

I can't wait for DH to be home tomorrow! It's been a long week! It seems like him being gone for a week has been worse than when he's been gone for months...I think because I didn't really think about it too much. He was shocked that I did not pull some RC's while he was gone.

You should have seen the texts flying on my phone between my friends and I about that announcement, we were not a happy bunch, lol!

I've decided to be positive about it though. DH is psyched, and we won't go into coffee withdrawals anymore while there. Plus, I can apparently still visit Gaston for my cinnamon roll.

So DH's boss is what one would possibly call unstable and it puts DH into a tailspin every year around this time. So now he is in this major cutting back and saving mode, thankfully Disney isn't on the chopping block (yet) as I had bought Disney GC's while we had the bonus period in our Dis visa and got 5% back, so between those and the rewards both Dec and Feb are pretty much paid for including food. I really hope this all blows over soon, but for now DH is in panic mode and that is never fun!

UGH, I just read your post...that would be super aggravating!!!! But, it's still Disney!! But, ugh, yeah...

I just think it is going to break up the nostalgia that Main Street is. I think a better plan would have been to put it in at the resorts. Just my opinion

I think Disney will really do their best to fit it in. Did you see the one in DL? You can hardly tell its a Starbucks. I've also seen that a lot of the Main St Bakery items will remain alongside the Starbucks ones, so....we shall see...

And yes!!!! DH comes home tonight! And I've convinced my dad to drive us into Boston to pick DH up at the airport tonight instead of him having to take the late bus back to Manchester!! There's no way I'm driving my babies to Logan by myself at night, so luckily I have my dad to do that!

Not real happy about the Starbucks at the bakery. If it stayed the bakery and served Starbucks coffee, I'd be ok, but it looks like its the Starbucks menu. Depending what our day at MK is like, we sometimes stop in the am for a snack or we get a cinnamon roll on the way out at night. I have heard the rolls are at Gastons, but not as good- which makes me think they are the same ones that are at starring rolls- and also by Dumbo.

DD is adamant that she does not want her bday at WDW and with DH on his savings/budget frenzy, I figured now is a good time for a $500 refund to my card


Update: hung up after 30 minutes of being on hold.... Frustrated!!!!
