Princess, Carnival and NCL we have cruised Alaska (twice), Mexico and Eastern Caribbean (twice). We live in Tacoma Wa. so Alaska was super easy but the Caribbean sun and sand can't be beat.

We are hoping to do an Alaskan cruise in 2014 but the anticipation of waiting for Disney's 2014 schedule release is killing me! I hear that Alaskan cruises are fantastic.

We are new to Disney Cruising, what is the FE exchange?

A fish extender (FE) group is basically a gift exchange group, but so much more fun! FE's are handmade organizers that hang from a decorative fish ornament attached outside of each cabin door.

If you decide to participate, you simply make a gift for the other participating cabins. It is up to you if you want to do a stateroom gift, adult or kid only gift, a gift for each person, etc. Gifts can be handmade, store bought, a combination of both. It's really up to you. You deliver these special gifts to the FE's of those participating. It's really a lot of fun. Every time we came back to our cabin we had gifts waiting for us. It added a special touch to the cruise. I'll attach a picture of what my FE looks like (sorry, I don't know how to make the picture smaller).

I love the pics of your door all decked out!!! Where did you get all of the magnets? I think it adds such a personal touch

I made them myself by just printing images and putting magnetic strips on the back. The kids loved their door being decorated and they could always spot our door when returning to the room.

Very creative!!! I will be thinking of ways to make our stateroom door stand out too I read somewhere that they don't like you to use stickers but the magnets are okay.

I know this information was posted on Facebook, but my husband wanted to see if anyone was interested in joining him and my father in law on a deep sea fishing trip in Cozumel.
