It's crazy packing time here! Can't wait 'till I hear, "Welcome Home!"

One day!!:dance3::dance3::dance3:

Don't know if I'm eligible for the BOG list in January, because we're splitting between Poly and BWI CL. I love so many resorts, but I usually get to try new resorts and keep BC/YC in the mix with split stays. I'll definitely be around BC/YC during our stay (minus SAB - boo!) And I promise to contribute photos!!! If Dee determines I'm eligible for the BOG list with a non-BC/YC stay, it's January 26-February 1. :)

Thanks so much for the info. I was a little concerned about the am selections. I checked out all ears but it wasn't listed. Love all the information on this thread! Can't wait to make our trip official.

We're 9 months away but just booked for 3 nights at the BC before our stay at the GF. Have never stayed at the BC before but have stayed at the YC twice and LOVED it.:goodvibes

We decided to go with the Beach Club this time just to switch things up a little and try something new.:thumbsup2

Doing the happy dance!:dance3:

My family and I stayed at BC the last week of August. We absolutely loved it! We had connecting rooms - 3503 & 3505 - right next to the secret entrance/exit, which thanks to this thread, I knew all about. I just want to reiterate what everyone here says - the resort and pools are wonderful. My kids loved the little water slide and the pools were perfect for them.

I posted a ton of pictures on the resort photo thread last night - if you're interested.

Just a quick question--

We have a standard view booked for August 2013 but I have read that there really aren't any great standard views (i.e., gardens). Is it worth it upgrading the view? I'm just afraid of paying extra money for a nice view and then ending up with a room without a balcony!

Any advice from BC veterans? Thanks!:goodvibes

To upgrade to a garden view is just a few dollars more a day. You have as much chance of getting a balcony with a standard view as a garden view. A garden view isn't always great but it's better than a standard for sure. A garden view may be deep overgrown woods. Anything that is not view of a roof, parking lot or water is a garden view. To upgrade to a super view (water view) is quite a bit more and again, as with the standard and garden views, that doesn't give you any better chance of getting a balcony.

Thank you! We had a water view rooms and the view was beautiful but the balconies were standing room only, which was a bit of a bummer. The saving grace was the fact that I could let the kids out there (it was narrow but long) and not have to worry about them standing on a chair or something.

Our Balcony here at Beach Club is super small and no view of the fireworks but we have a view of the much talked about pool that I can't wait to go in tomorrow.

Here is my review of our trip:

We checked in at 12:30 and our room was ready. We requested a full balcony and king and we got both:thumbsup2 The room was clean and spacious and was located by the single elevator. We just walked down that hall to the stairs and walked out the back way to everything:cool1: Epcot was so close. Mousekeeping was excellent. Towel animals galore. We had a stingray in the bathtub one day that DH put on the sofa and the next day there was an Eeyore next to it. She had also taken my EEyore and had it cuddle with her Eeyore. So cute!

We ate lunch at Food and Wine Wed. and Thur. No lines at all . It was fantastic. In fact DHS was also empty those days. On Thur. we had our own private drawing class because no one else was there. on Friday morning we walked onto RNR with literally no wait and got the front car. The coaster only filled about half the car

The weekend was mobbed everywhere. Sat in Epcot was crazy. DHS and MK were also very busy. Sunday was busy but very manageable.

We ate at Beaches and Cream . Food was just OK but service and atmosphere was awesome. Best service we had was there and at Bluezoo. That was incredible. We also ate at Via Naploi which is one of our favorites but service was ok. Our waiter refused to acknowledge my existence and only talked to DH even when I tried to address. him. It was very strange the lengths he took to ignore my existence. We had my B day meal at California Grill . The food was awesome but our waitress was not. It as clear she did not want to be at work. She was very aloof and distant. She never acknowledged my B day. I did not want anything for free it was just weird that the check in lady acknowledged it but the waitress did not. She just did not really give anything to the service which was disappointing.

The trip was awesome. Great weather. No rain . I recommend running on the Boardwalk in the early a.m It was so relaxing and pretty. I talked with teena which was awesome. The BC workers were very helpful and amazing.

we got lots of pictures taken . Can' t wait to see them
I love BC:cool1::cool1:

Sounds like a great trip! That's so weird about the Via Napoli waiter!! I do love that place.

Would love to see some pics!!

Would I have a better chance at a view of IllumiNations from a garden view or lagoon view?? At either BC or YC...thanks! :goodvibes

Some stays it's darts, other stays it's horse shoes. Pixarmom is obviously having one of those "horse shoes" stays were she is as close as she can get to our beloved BC/YC. I'm hoping she gets an A for asterisk * on the Be Our Guest list so we can keep track of her visit and root for a wonderful stay. With all the assistance she's provided over the many months I can't wait to hear about her BC/YC "drive by" adventures and see what details she uncovers when she visits.

:hug:
