Here's another curious about the food question for you guys. Has anyone ate here? It looked good when we passed by a few weeks ago. And yes my family loves pizza, seems like to be my posts lately. ;)

It is a must do for us every trip. I don't know if it is because the pizza is that good or if it is because it is a tradition for us. DH says it is another excuse for us to walk one more lap on the Boardwalk;) You have to realize we are from Southeast Iowa so pizza to us may not be the same as it is to others. It does the job:thumbsup2

Better than say Pizza Planet but not as good as VN. We have never ordered a whole pie. Sometimes it has been better than others?!

I think its terrible to be honest, but pizza at WDW is generall bad

you can do better

I actually think it's better than VN -- and it's not crazily over-priced like VN's pizza is..

We stayed at BWV last year and didn't really care for the pizza at BW Pizza....it was o.k. and we could have figured better ways to spend a CS credit (not many options on the BW though for CS). Could be because we are from New England and have such great pizza at our fingertips... We must be "pizza snobs"???!! :rotfl2:

You will get opinions from the scale of "it's horrible" to "I love it!" so take everything you read here with a grain of salt.

For our family, we are on the "it's pretty good" side. On our trip in January, my son HAD to get his family over there for a meal. The slices are a good size, it's not take-and-bake but it's not what you would get in a true, honest-to-gosh pizzaria. If you want that kind of stuff, don't go to a theme park to get it.

Personally, I think it's above average. Think about what you would get at a ball park and go higher. Then think about what you would get at a "real" pizza place and go lower. People compare Disney pizza with "real" places and yes, it will be less than expectations. But Disney is a theme park, their specialty ain't pizza.

There is a lot more than a grain on that pizza. Its loaded with salt

I am originally from Ohio and so we are comparing everything to Tommy's Pizza and Subs which is located in Columbus, OH. But surprisingly my picky dad loves Disney pizza and so the expectations are high for him. ;) But thanks for the input.

I'm originally a Jerseyer too lol. Of course my vote is for Jersey pizza, northern NJ to be exact. I'll give you NYC pizza too.

Living in the Columbus area, we are familiar with Tommy's pizza and I can tell you Boardwalk pizza doesn't even begin to compare. It fits the bill when you're hungry and pizza will satisfy. Following Via Napoli pizza, which we like the best, the best pizza we had was my DD's at California Grill. Some of the restaurants at the resorts, both TS and CS have flatbreads that are pretty good.
If you're looking for generic pizza, we found the whole pizzas when ordered hot and fresh at the resorts (not the individual pizzas) are decent. Boardwalk pizza seems to be different than these, something about the dough/crust and cheese is different.

Ok, sorry about the pizza discussion! I can talk pizza for days. Where's the smilie for pizza lady? :)

It's fine, I'd sure rate it higher than the famous 'good-enough' category. Is it better than your home town pizza? How does it compare to the best east/west/some/coast or wherever pizza? Who knows? but if you're hungry and walk by, I'd sure suggest trying a slice.

Hope you have a good time, TwoCortWort!

Just an update we ate here today while we were at Epcot and we loved it!! I personally think I found my new favorite pizza spot at Disney. :)

Eh. The pizza isn't very good. It's great to grab if you are hungry but can't see planning a visit around it.

Glad you tried it and liked it! If you go back, try the fried ravioli from Boardwalk Joe's to go across from BW Pizza, they're yummy. :)
