From Fantasyland to the Fantasy: We came, we saw, we kicked it's AFT! UPDATED 1/10!

I grew up spending most Sunday afternoons at Jetty Park when we lived in Orlando. Haven't been there in a few years, so it was nice to see pics!

Now it was late morning (going on 11:00) so I finally woke Sarah up and we got ready to head downstairs to enjoy the day at the pool.

When we arrived downstairs and entered the pool area behind a huge family group. The pool area is fenced with an iron fence that is common and I didn’t think much of it at the time. There were still some premium seats open- shaded and umbrella tables and lounges under cover. We chose a table near the volleyball section of the pool and two loungers next to it.

The volleyball games went all day. It probably wasn’t the most relaxing spot to have chosen but it was certainly interesting. We did have to retrieve few balls. OK- a lot of balls!

The very large free-flow shaped hot tub! Stayed empty all day because it would turn out to be a scorcher!

I just wanted to say I have so enjoyed your TR. I love that you are writing and reliving it through your pictures and your DH keeps posting on it. It is great to see great families and great parents and great relationships in full force.

I agree 100%. Just wondering if they would adopt a family of four

I'm just curious. . . while you are opening every cabinet in the kitchen - and taking 15 pictures of the washer and dryer - is your family in the suite or did they leave for the pool about an hour ago?

I typically like to get a few quick shots of the room before any luggage or people are in the room - and that is usually met with a lot of sighing (which I of course ignore)

I found this report the other day (followed you from Jen's cruise TR) and got caught up earlier this morning but wasn't able to post/reply until now. Really enjoying reading about your trip so far! That was so great you got to be the "First Family!"

I have heard of the Ron Jon surf shop, seen enough signs and bilboards, etc down there but I never knew there was a resort, it looks like a really nice one, that pool area is really cool! Like other PP's have said a kid paradise! (both big kids and little kids!)

Can't wait to read more!

That resort looks amazing. I will never judge a breakfast of champs.. on vacation everything is healthy, fat free, and good for you .. in my eyes that is LOL.

I have some catching up to do here since we don't do internet while sailing, and I'm anxious to read what you thought about the ports/excursions.

We missed our Castaway day, but did have a bit of an adventure thanks to
Sandy. Capt. Tom brought us home in one piece.

Hey gang!

Please understand I haven't forgotten you. I have had a major turn of events at work and I have a big test tomorrow that if I pass it I will get a new job closer to home with much more opportunity (oh, and I'll be making more money too!) So this week I haven't really been able to concentrate on much else other than practicing and getting my head in the game. This is pretty much how I feel:

So I totally apologize but once I get past this huge hurdle I'll be able to relax and get back to the TR. You wouldn't believe it, it has been like a roller coaster, things are changing constantly (yes, everyone will go, no only 11 will go, ok everyone will go, no, now only 7 will go, no wait now it's 8...aargh!)
