I just looked at the convention list for when we're going

pop warner football and NCA/NDA Christmas Extravaganza

how awful is it going to be? We're coming up to our 30 day mark. UGH

Pop Warner is bad! It's never been at CSR before, but the other resorts they have stayed at in the past there were a host of complaints about.

I don't agree. I stayed at the Sports with the Pop Warner group in 2010, and they were not bad at all. Never heard a peep out of them! And I almost changed resorts because of all the horror stories--in the pool all hours, cheering non stop on the buses and in the food court. Saw none of that!

You were lucky.

The food court was loud with cheerleaders breaking out in cheer. Practicing in the court yards. etc.

We checked in last night, my request for Cabanas was met, we are in 8a, perfect location for the Dig Site. Room is awesome, our twin airbed fit perfectly under the window. Room is spotless! I do like the nicer towels, bedding and kleenex lol over the other mods.

They are painting our buiding rails, the grounds, walkways and pool are all immaculate.

No complaints and VERY happy to be here.

The weather is good, some clouds earlier and a lot of wind and its getting chilly, but we haven't had any rain which is nice.

sounds like we will be there the same time as you...we are doing a short surprise trip Nov30-Dec 4 :thumbsup2...sounds like with those two conventions we may be in a bit of trouble :sad2:..but since it's a fast trip we will not likely spend much hotel time, planning on being up and out most of the day. Breakfast may be tough though:crowded:. On the up side i am sure my 12 yo son will enjoy the sights with the cheer/dancers around :crazy2::sad::confused3

The NDA cheerleaders are the cheerleaders that march in the parade. They are a well behaved group, not like the pop cheerleaders.

Thnaks..that is good to hear...we are usually At BWV in latr April and we always manage to catch the HUGE cheer/Dance crowds that hit the parks early evening after their competions are done for the day.....always a bit shocked at how they are dressed (or not) to walk around the parks...but like i said my 12 y.o ds is seeming to enjoy it more each year for some reason :rotfl:

Still really looking forward to our first CSR stay despite the pop crowd..my biggest "fear?" is the crowd at breakfast.

We don't plan on any meals at CSR, my main concern would be buses, pool, and overall noise level.

We have a rental car, I as thinking it will be too cold for pools?? but may be an issue if it's warm enough...and eeekkkksss..didn't think of the overall noise...hope they stick all the pop warners in Rancheros!!! Looks like we will be there the same time!!

Great to hear. Is there much noise in the room from other guests? We stayed at POFQ last time and it was really noisy just with noise from toilets flushing that seemed to be non stop from about 6.30am each day!! :)

We just got back from 17 days at CSR, we stayed in Cabana's 8B and I can confirm they had noisy toilets in our block! :) A couple we met who stayed regularly at CSR said our block were especially loud - to which I would agree! they were loud enough when flushing inside our room so no wonder you could hear other peoples too :)

Last year at the same time (we were there Nov28-Dec3) it was plenty warm for pools!! In the mid 80's during the day!

I haven't heard a peep. I know we have neighors on both sides, but so far haven't heard them. Maybe they are just really quiet!

The resort is even better than I remember, we have had really good luck with busses so far which is nice. Its amazingly close to both DHS and AK.

I am sitting here at the dig site right now, freezing, its windy and that wind is cold!!! But the water is nice and warm and the hot tub is awesome.

So happy we chose CSR, we love all the mods but the big reason for this was the Pepper Market buffet (which we have yet to try) and the athletc club for ds. Which he loves having.

I forgot to add the beds are very comfortable.

Lol, I just noticed your sceeen name, we watched Mrs. Doubtfire last night, for some reason we always bring that movie to WDW!

Really have no complaints, lookig forward to a full week ahead. Just hoping it warms up.

Oh that Pop Warner info is discouraging .
We will be there the 6th through the 10th. For those of you who've dealt with them before, I have a couple questions if you don't mind: Do they all usually go home on their last day (making it a part day/travel day)? Are they early risers? I'm hoping if we're up and out early maybe we'll miss them?

we will be there 11/28-12/4 at CSR,I know a lot of people say it can get really bad but I'm not worried at all. Stayed at POR 2 yrs ago at the same time. There were a lot of ball players and Cheerleaders, never had a problem with them. They were all well behaved. I also stayed at All Star Sports last august and only noticed the pools and food court got a little crowded at times. I am so excited to be staying at CSR for the first time, I can't wait. praying for an upgrade as I only booked standard.

Thank you disneemama! I didn't want to worry - I mean who wants to worry about a visit to the happiest place on earth? That's just what I needed to calm myself down and just focus on the good parts! Good luck with your upgrade! :goodvibes
