Just curious to see if any Canadians have received pin codes. , and what was the deal offered? My informal search of the boards hasn't turned any up just yet.

Thanks!

I got one. So darn excited!

It was for FD for 2013 dates up to Mar. 7th and a room only PIN code up to 35% off for dates up to September.

It worked for our dates and we booked 9 nights FD at POR end of Jan. There are 5 of us - 4 disney adults, so that is a huge savings for us!

Here's hoping some pixiedust: gets sprinkled your way!

My sister received one last Wednesday. We were already booked for Little Mermaid for Jan 26th for three rooms and 7 people. We changed to POP and got free dining for all three rooms. It is a big saving for us. We also priced the discount for rooms only but we will save at least twice on much on free dining.

DH got the same one....the darn guy gets them all the time. Just one after the other. Probably for the best though, he's good with going once a year....if they came to me I'd be there a whole lot more often. :rotfl2:

I got one. Booked. Feb 28-march 7. Free dinning. Woo hoo!! I booked through Disney. Can you use a travel agent with pin codes. How much did you pay with US dollar exchange. I still need to put down deposit.

I'm encouraged to hear that there was some pixie dust floating around north of the border! For those of you who received a pin code, was it sent recently?

I called to check. It was there under my Hubbys name and emailI said sometimes I get emails with pin codes. Just wondering if I had any under my email. And there was. Free dinning.

I have done everything short of stand on my head for a pin code for our February '13 trip. Still nothing. I am starting to think that Disney sees a big neon "sucker" sign on my forehead since they obviously think I am willing to go without the $741 (!!) saving that free dining would save us over the stay/play/dine offer.

I do not know what it is but I seem to get nearly everyone that comes out. Sometimes I get one and then a few days latter I get another one.

I have booked every trip I have taken on a Pin code so I wonder if they realize in order to intice me to go they need to send me a lot of offers.

The trick I found that works best for me is if I price out a vacation on Waltdisneyworld.com under my profile and save the vaction but not book it a few days later I will get an email that says something along the lines of "I see you have been considering a vaction how bout taking advantage of this new promotion." Generally the promotion just happens to be for the dates I was pricing on line. Now mind you I only go in the off season when promos are more common.

I've heard that's a popular way to get codes, and I've done it a bunch of times and still nothing. Huge bummer! I'd love to get free dining/save some money somehow.

We got this PIN a week ago, are likely going to take advantage of the room discount since it extends into late 2013:

Save up to 35% (and enjoy more dates to choose from) on a stay at a select Walt Disney World Resort hotel!

For stays most nights 1/2–3/24/13, 4/21–5/22/13 and 8/11–9/28/13.

Get a FREE dining plan when you purchase a non-discounted 5-night/6-day Walt Disney Travel Company room and ticket package at select Disney Resort hotels.

For arrivals most nights 1/2–3/7/13.

Book now through 2/16/13.
Be sure to mention your PIN:

The number of rooms allocated for this offer is limited. Length-of-stay requirements may apply. Savings based on the non-discounted price for the same room. Additional per-adult charges may apply if more than two adults per room at Disney Value, Moderate and Deluxe Resorts. No group rates or other discounts apply. Advance reservations required. Offer is nontransferable, excludes 3-bedroom villas and is not valid at Disney's Art of Animation Resort––The Little Mermaid Standard Rooms.

we got one in 2009 after our first kids trip. then after we bought into dvc we got them quite often and didnt need them. ugh! however i got the same one as the pp above me the same time. called to book pop for jan 30-feb 6 and got 2 rooms for 1169. im sure it was only 20% but the dining was if you booked a package and since were taking advantage of the premium ap's for dvc members this time it wasnt worth it for free dining.

I get them all the time, got one last night...and haven't booked on the Disney site in many years so what the rhyme or reason is? I tend to think totally random..

It must be! I don't know what more I can do. I've never ever gotten one. Someone suggested calling Disney to see if there's a pin under my name because sometimes the emails don't go through, so I may try that.

My DH got the latest pin code (FD or 35% off). He always get the pin codes even though everything is always booked in my name.

I've never received a WDW pin code, despite using all the suggested tricks. Have saved multiple vacation offers on the disneyworld.go site. Have opened numerous email accounts - Google Mail, Yahoo. Have opened accounts in my husband's name, too. Have called Disney. Nothing. I am starting to think like you, muddypaws, that Disney knows I am a "sucker." Shut me out of pin codes, yet I keep going back again and again.

I have received a number of codes (not in the past couple of years, though) for Disneyland. I've only been to Disneyland once, back in 2004. I am in western Canada, like you muddypaws, so I am wondering if there is an east-west connection. Seems like Canadians who get WDW pin codes are in the Maritimes or Ontario. Have any of you western Canadians ever received a WDW pin code?

I did call and check to make sure I hadn't missed an email, but the CM checked twice and she was quite certain there is no pin for me....:rotfl: Ahh well...someday maybe!

I've saved quite a bit with the play/stay/dine deal, so I really can't complain. :thumbsup2
