Will Fantasy make it back?

It appears to be east of Kendall FL heading north at 17.4 knots as of 5:30 PM on Friday.

Yes, it is at Marine Traffic Control. If you limit it to passenger vessels underway and show the names you'll see the Dream and Fantasy both east of Miami and heading north now. They are alone. Might be an interesting ride tonight.

Just checked Marine Traffic and the Dream and Fantasy are really close to each other! Could be a cool opportunity and I think the Fantasy is looking at getting as close as they can and then finding out if they will dock. Cause at the moment, she will get to the port, the questions is if the port will let her dock... pirate:

Just read that a couple of passenger vessels that were heading for Ft. Lauderdale have docked at commercial docks in Jacksonville. Their cruise lines are providing bus transportation to Lauderdale. (Holland America).

Port Canaveral has scheduled port calls for ships that are missing Nassau

any ship originally scheduled for Canaveral should have no problem

Tropical Weather Update
10/26/2012

We continue to monitor Hurricane Sandy very closely as it moves through The Bahamas, passing just off the coast of Florida.

At this time, we are notifying Guests sailing on Saturday, October 27, 2012 Disney Fantasy cruise that there is the potential of a delay in the boarding process should the wind conditions prohibit the ship from safely navigating the channel in Port Canaveral on Saturday morning.

Guests sailing on the October 27, 2012 voyage are advised to check our website or call us at 1-866-858-7416 on Saturday morning for updates and port operation hours before traveling to Port Canaveral. Our next scheduled update will be posted by 9 a.m. EST on Saturday, October 27, 2012.

We appreciate your understanding and cooperation during any potential delay and look forward to welcoming you onboard.

Currently on board...violently rocking and rolling. Off the coast of Florida. They delayed us until at least noon tomorrow. It is quite awful, very scared.

Update: my manager friend at art of animation said that resort buses now leaving at 430pm, boat was going to try to port at 11 but now 4pm and we are getting room credit.

More to come....

The storm is moving away from you so it should just keep getting better...hang in there!

WDWRC...do you mean the buses heading to the port on Saturday from WDW for the Fantasy Cruise aren't going to leave WDW for the Port until 4:30pm?

Thanks so much for any info!

Wow, I guess I don't have to freak out about the rush I was going to be in then leaving home...I live in Clermont.

That's going to make for an interesting first night, boarding in the evening. I wonder how they'll handle all the stuff that would be happening, if they'll just make it all later or what. Well, this is life in FL!

Thank you for the heads up!

This would upset me greatly; I thought their responsibility was to stay in calmer waters?!

Also on board now. Huge seas. My luggage is still out in hallway and has been thrown about. Almost tossed me out of bed. Captain just came on the overhead requesting everyone to stay in their cabins. Stuff is falling off shelves. Kids sleeping through whole thing. Whole boat shudders and creaks. Can't imagine what it would be like on smaller boat.
