Definitely need to move my mileage back up to 5 miles a day for this trip!!

Me too! :lmao: I've been slacking this week, need to get back on the treadmill and increase from my 3.5 miles to 5 miles so I can lose enough weight to eat that without hating myself later!

Gaston's Menu. Twitter is really hopping today with FLE pics. The detail is just incredible.

Um, I do believe that is that a snack credit symbol next to that pork shank! I'm thinking that and a cinnamon role would make a great lunch, and that would give us an extra dining credit to change another one if our ADRs to a signature restaurant. Hmm...must go play with the dining website now :)

Yeah same here!! I think starting tomorrow... Today's workout was shot because of grumpy sick non napping kiddos....

I just had a thought... hmm

We are there 6 days, 5 of which will be in the parks (M-F 12/10-14). I had planned on 2 visits to MK, one afternoon through MVMCP and the other on a recommended day, rope drop till early afternoon.

SO... we were planning to spend the first park day (morning) at DHS. I was looking at the attractions and rides and DHS, and there just isn't all that much to do for a 2 year old. I don't think she would sit through the LM show. She's too small/young for Honey I Shrunk play area. Only things I can picture her enjoying is TSM and perhaps the Movie ride. Of course, I would do Disney Jr.
We will return later that day for dinner and Osborne lights. (I want to sneak in a ride on new Star Tours).

I'm starting to think it might just be worth dropping DHS from the plans so we can spend more time at MK. Then again, MK that day is not recommended, but if we could go at rope drop, it should still be do-able. HMMMM While I love TSM/TT/RnR, I have been on them numerous times. (We could still try for TT/RnR at night perhaps). I guess I should see what DH thinks. What do you all think?

I'm just feeling like I am starting to lose focus that this trip is for my DD. Am I missing obvious other attractions she would really enjoy at DHS?

I agree there isn't much for 2 year old there but she will enjoy Honey I shrunk the kids playground, DD played there at 16 months (Last TR) and had a blast! Do not forget about going through Arts of Animations so you can get to the character meet and greets. We are doing DHS in two parts are going in the morning, breaking for the afternoon (Tea for me/ DH, DD, and DPoppop will do something maybe go to a resort playground or back to DPoppop room for DD to nap.) Then we will head back to DHS to see the Osbourne Lights and Fantasmic!

I have a strong feeling the new LeFou's Beverage at Gaston's Tavern is going to be a huge hit! Possibly right up there with a Dole Whip! From the Disney Blog, it's described "a frozen apple juice with a hint of toasted marshmallow, topped with all-natural passion fruit-mango foam".

Sounds super sweet but also very refreshing! Love me some Mango... :lovestruc

I gotta get on that too. It's a little pricey, but I think I'll make it back just in the ride pics alone.

I counted the ride pics from our last trip as well as the one meal picture(Chef Mickey) and we spent more than the cost of the PP+, crazy, I know....this is how my kids chose to spend their money last trip(ride pics and frames) guess they will have to find something else to spend their money on....I make sure they spend half of the money we give them(I have one DS that would buy drink and pocket/save the rest)....i can give him $5 for gas in the moped and he saves $3 of it.....

How busy do you think a Sunday evening will be at EMH?

Our second day, Dec. 2, I was hoping to take advantage of EMH at DHS which goes until 11pm.

Do crowds thin out on "school nights". Just wondering if it will be worth it to get back to DHS later that evening to watch Fantasmic!

While I think this is still true for some low times (like late January), I'm finding that for Oct and early Dec there is increasingly a lot of variation between days in a given week. For example during my week, I have the option of MK at 1.5 0r 8. That's a huge swing.

Of course, it's all up to personal preference and how much the crowds affect your enjoyment. For me, I'm more affected by crowds, especially for things like Wishes. We've been on a 1 day and a 6. I would be hesitant to ever do it higher than a 4 again. The 6 day stressed us out too much to really enjoy it.

Mostly the ratings are based on Disney's projections and past numbers for similar days. But you're right that they can't always get it right. The 6 day we went to MK was slated as a 4. Disney ended up extending hours at the last minute. Still, that doesn't happen often. They're usually pretty accurate.

I went on some very crowded days and some not so crowded but I am one of those "it is what it is" people. I'm too laid back to start looking at crowd calendars .... that would mean I would have to be organised  :teeth:

I gotta get on that too. It's a little pricey, but I think I'll make it back just in the ride pics alone.

I got mine on the special offer of $169. If you get ride photos you will most definitely get your moneys worth topped with all the lovely xmas photos. Plus you get a really cool CD with 400 stock shots on it :)

A bookstore ? I don't remember ever seeing one there. Where is it located?

Its called Writer's Stop and is located by Sci-Fi Dine-In in the Streets of America ... one of the 'hidden gems' :goodvibes

I was just telling DD that I'd like to check out some of the shops at DHS. They look really interesting. Maybe while DD & dad ride ToT mom and I can shop :-)

I love the arty store (just down from Ariel and near the Walt movie) it has a replica of the partners statue which I would love to get this trip. Stands about 20inches (don't trust that estimate, my estimates are awful :p )

Definitely need to move my mileage back up to 5 miles a day for this trip!!

Hubby and I started our treadmill work this week. Actually I have started the workout. He only did it one time this week with me yesterday. I really just wanted to do it to get us used to walking a lot but it would be fine with me if we lost 10 pounds or so! I'm shudder to think how much weight I'll be gaining since I expect to be trying LOTS OF CUPCAKES :)

Also, I don't want anyone slowing me down on this trip!

Kinda wondered the same thing because that's our planned DHS day. It will be our 2nd day also. Arrive on the 1st, check in and out for a great dinner at Yachtsman.

There will be a certain amount of thinning out as it is a school night - our EMH @ DHS is a Sunday too. I always take advantage of EMH. Even if it is crowded and you only get a couple of rides/attractions in, its a couple more than if you'd left at regular closing :thumbsup2

We're planning on being at DHS during the evening of EMH too, only a week after you guys go. I'll be happy if we can get in one or two rides, Osbourne Lights, and Fantasmic! We have a 9pm ADR for 50's Prime Time Cafe then maybe head out after that....before the crowds start leaving :cool1: It's our first day at The World but we won't be there until the late afternoon.

Ohhhhh, if we stay until you do we can ride back to POR together ;)
