We are going to DL in December with my dad who will need a scooter for the day while at the park. He needs double knee surgery but has to wait until my mom is done recovering from her mastectomy due to breast cancer. He can walk a little bit. Do we just go to city hall and get one? Do we wait in the regular line and tell a CM when we get ready to load onto the ride he is in the handicap line? There will be 6-7 people riding at a time. Thanks for the help.

Most lines will allow your father on his scooter, with the rest of the party, to wait in the Handicap line. (Waiting in the regular line, then saying "My dad's in the handicap line" won't work, as the handicap line is frequently longer due to evacuation reasons.) In Fantasyland, they will limit it to your father and 5 family members. The others will get in the regular lines. Some lines (such as Buzz Lightyear and Matterhorn) are accessible, so you all wait in the regular line. At the point where they send you to board, you will be told to go through the "door with the HA sign" on Buzz, and they will divert you to a HA area on Matterhorn.

DCA is completely accessible, so you can wait in the regular lines together.

You won't need a GAC because he has the scooter.
