I have to give myself incentives, like get x,y and z done and then you can check the dis. So then I get x done and I think, oh I'll just get on for a second.

Oh good, I'm not the only one who has to do that in order to get anything constructive done at work I've been working on a project all morning and thinking to myself the whole time how I'd much rather be checking out our roll call!

I just got an email from UPS that the thermal shirts I ordered from the Disney Store have been delivered and ALL I want to do is go home and see if they fit. Why, oh why do we actually have to work while we're at work???

And is it wrong that I just want Halloween and Thanksgiving over and done with already so I can run around singing Christmas songs at the top of my lungs because I'm so freaking happy I'm going to DISNEY WORLD?

I'll share my experience with you on the preferred rooms at CSR. We stayed there in June (um, yes, that would be THIS past June - LOL, I love that I can say that) sorry, off topic - anyway, we were just looking to get into a moderate resort and the preferred room was all that was available with our promo. Once we got to the resort, I will tell you that I actually preferred the location of the cabanas to the location of the preferred rooms in the Casitas. We ended up with a room in the preferred section which is actually further from the main areas, main pool and 1st bus stop. However, it is closer to the 2nd bus stop which ironically, is the first one that gets picked up. Having said that, all of the bus stops (except #1) are away from the buildings, across parking lots on the outer rims of the streets. Make sense? The 1st bus stop is actually connected to the main building. Keep in mind CSR is a very large CONFERENCE resort and preferred rooms here, IMO, are more for the conference travelers because it puts them closer to conference amenities. Yes, the section of preferred rooms is closer to the main area BUT if you end up in the 3rd wing or even the 2nd wing - it can be a very far walk to your room from the main areas.

Thanks for sharing!! I actually requested Casitas 3 to be near the bus stop, which I know kinda defeats the whole purpose of being in preferred. If I could guarantee Casitas 4 somehow, I would do that. I think I will call and drop it and just request Casitas and take my chances.

I've been trying to call WDW all morning to make a Fantasmic dinner package reservation and I keep getting a message that says all lines are busy, try again later. Anyone know what is going on?

I think discounts were released today for the Jan/Feb crowd. Plus everyone that couldn't make changes yesterday.

Nope, not wrong at all. I normally love October--beautiful weather, football, changing leaves. This year I just want it to be over!! It's such a long month. November seems much shorter and we get a couple days off for Thanksgiving, so it doesn't seem so bad.

Yes, exactly! At least once January hits and we're all back from our trips we can start planning new ones. It's this sitting here with 99% of the planning done and all of the WAITING left before that's terrible!

Taaren---I think you are on a cruise right now, so hope you are having fun!! Love the pic. I didnt know they did Castle Lights on Sleeping Beauty's Castle too. How fun to get the same picture this year.

Julie---Hope you get to update that to staying at WL the whole trip!!! I didn't realize you dont have kids, so really the split stay might not be too bad and you get to enjoy two different resorts. But WL is so pretty at Christmas. I am trying to be satisfied with eating at WCC.

The only trip I will be planning is a trip to Gatlinburg with my in-laws in March.

What are you most looking forward to? Spending time with our dear friends. We don't get to hang out with our travel partners enough since they live so far away.

How you might be able to find me while at Disney: (i.e. Resting in a hammock at CSR, tipsy at WS in EPCOT, 'that couple' in matching outfits, inquiring about the time of the 3 o'clock parade) If you hear exclamations of 'that's just so much bigger here'! Or the ones who look perpetually lost since our Disney map in our heads is of DLR ...

DH (then DF) & I in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle in 2008, right around New Year's. Only time we've been in Disney for the winter holidays. Hoping to get another one in front of Cinderella's Castle this year, maybe wearing the same things?

Brief background about your upcoming trip (include dates): We are arriving in Orlando on December 1st and checking into POFQ. This will be a new resort for us and I am looking forward to it. On December 4th, we are checking into my favorite resort, Wilderness Lodge and staying until the 8th.
