January 2013 Discounts

I have a Disney Visa so I called the reservation line and the person I talked to said that there are no such discounts available. I think she is confused:) What number/department should I call to make a reservation?

Call back and try again 407 828-8101. I just booked the package with dining and saved $600 compared to rack rate. Pop Century January 5 - 11 with DDP (not QS) and 7 day base tickets for $2,096. Other prices for the package quoted: All Star Movies $2,028 and POR $2,307. You can do room only or the package. :thumbsup2

I booked a vacation package through a TA with my Disney visa. My dates are within the range of the offer. Does anyone know if I can apply the discount to my current reservations? And can I call and give my confirmation code or do I have to go through my travel agent?

just booked GF for 2/3 to 2/9, on hold for less than 10 mins

GF garden view

rack 480.00
visa offer 312.00

35% off

could've done BC for $234 a night, but figured it's my 50th so what the heck?

:yay::woohoo::cool1:

Call you agent and they will work to get it applied to your current reservation.
;)

Just got off the phone and couldn't use the code for the room I have booked at Poly:confused:. She offered my MK view for $60 more than my current room. I want to pay less, not more!!! Boo! She said that they are renovating rooms at the Poly and so the discounts are extremely limited. I did get a quote for $400 less than current ressie for Beach Club which is an option. Need to talk to DH as it would alter all our current dining plans. So bummed, but maybe when FL Resident or AP discounts come out I will have better luck.

Does anyone know if January 24th-31st falls within the discount range? I'm not a Disney Visa holder, but want to relief some stress and maybe book my airfare now so I am prepared when it goes public next week. Help please!!

are the AOA suites included? Have a room already booked for Jan 4-10 in LM room, but I'd like a suite if there's a discount. Thanks for your help!

:tink: AOA suites are included. We just save 15% for the end of January.
LM are not included. I asked because that is where my parents are staying.

My CM had to put me on hold for a bit when I asked about upcoming promotions... I think they are still learning about it.

Ordered plane tickets yesterday, this week is getting better...

Yes! We'll be there at the same time (fewer days).

People are saying it's Jan - March.

I just applied the new discount and want to clarify. I had a really great CM and he explained what it is a bit more. So there are two discounts. The first is a room only discount and I didn't go much further than that with the percentages.

The second is called Play/Stay/Dine and if you book all three items on your package it gives a certain amount off. It is up to $600 at a value resort. I'm staying at CSR and it took $765 off my package which worked out to roughly 20% total. Not QUITE as good as FD but very very close for us. I'm very happy! We are staying 8 nights, Jan 31-Feb 8, 9 day MYW tickets without hopper, and regular dining plan. The CM said he wasn't sure exactly how the percentage was coming off (if it was a few days free or an overall percentage).

Hope this helps! I'm anxious to see the full details in writing so I can figure out what the discount might have been for other resorts.

THanks for the info!

I just called and added the discount for Jan 8-15th. 2 adults, pop century, with 7 day park hoppers and dining plus plan and it was only a $200 discount compared to what I had originally booked. The agent had no idea about the visa promotion and seemed to have a hard time booking it. She didn't mention a discount on the package. Is there only a discount on rooms or packages too?

Yes call your TA and have them work it for you.

Reports I have seen are there are no blacked out dates but room availability is limited at some resorts. And there are a couple of resorts that are not available for this discount. LM wing of AOA being one of them.

I wonder which one I got? I was just told about 15% off at AOA. But we have QServe, Park Hopper & Water Parks...

My CM told me it is called Play/Stay/Dine. He wasn't sure how the discount was coming off though. I am thinking you needed regular dining plan to qualify for it and not just QS.

Advise everyone to call back, reference Play/Stay/Dine and have them rerun the numbers for you.

Thank you! We check in on Feb 7 for an 8 day stay (me, 2 "Disney adult" kids and a 3 year old). Play/Stay/Dine would be great for me - I'm doing dining with or without FD, but was really hoping for a good discount to kick in before my final payment is due. I'd be happy with that. This is still a Disney Visa discount, right? I'm really hoping this or something of equal value is extended to the general public soon.

Thank you ciera321 for your help! I called the number you gave and was able to apply the Visa discount to my existing reservation at AK from 1/17-1/22 and save slightly more than 1000!!! I did have to change from a savannah view room to a pool view which some may think I am crazy for but I know my family and it is worth it for that kind of savings!!!
