DDC XXII - End of Summer Bash

Is that a challenge?

Yeah I can. I lived there for almost 10 years off and on. I hated that state for all the laws and ways to steal money from you. I ended up registering my car in another state before we moved for almost a year just to be able to have things done to my car.

It wasnt beautiful in the Newport News / Williamsburg area. Rain Rain rain, but had a lil sun for about a few hours then got nasty again.

No challenge. I am taking some courses to sharpen my skilllllls :thumbsup2

I am still using my kit lens so I am saving for photoshop so I can fix my mistakes.

Morning all. I had to take DD to the doc yesterday to look at her foot. She has a wart that won't go away so he froze it and gave us some stronger medicine for it. She was so scared but he started talking about his last trip to Disney and it calmed her down.

The best part was when he was getting the names wrong on rides or restaurants and she would correct him, politely of course. He was like Tiki Room is in Fantasyland and she said "nope, it's behind Flying Carpets of Aladdin, close to the expensive Orange Bird place."

David,

Photoshop elements has most of the things you would need and is significantly cheaper than a full version of photoshop.

Hope DD is ok!

Morning guys! Got a run in yesterday afternoon at the Y, going back again today. Things are getting busy around the house, both DD's are taking Dance, the oldest taking it 2 nights a week, the youngest once. So, as I was jogging I was thinking about our weekly schedule. Dance Monday, open Tuesday, afterschool program Wednesday, Dance Thursday and Friday. :scared:

Gonna be a long year.

That is good to know. I was pricing PS and it was quite higher than I expected.

Yup. Theatre class Monday, swimming lessons on Tuesday, off Wednesday, soccer practice Thursday, off Friday, soccer games on Saturday and sometimes Sunday. Most days I don't even get out to run until 8pm or so.
Can't wait to see what life will be like once the little DS grows up and wants to do stuff....

I hear ya too...we have swimming lessons Mondays, off Tuesdays, Amelia Brownies Wednesday, Church Band practice Thursdays, Fridays off. I work 2/3 Saturdays too. When I work nights, I try to pre-make the dinners so they can grab and go. Will get worse when Audrey starts getting into things too, still, we have it light compared to alot of you guys.

Yeah thats how I did it too for the first year, 18-55 and 55-300. Then expanded 10-20mm, 30mm, 18-135mm, 55-300mm, but one thing to know is this can get addictive and stupid expensive. So love it but be careful loving it lol!

Moning all.

Again, life is cramping my DIS time. Stupid life. :lmao:

On the up side, Lovie is now 8-2 on Monday Night and Romo has applied for a new job as "Turnover Specialist". All in all, GO BEARS!

I have to admit though I punted on Fantasy this week. Benched Colston and Witten in favor of Holmes and Gates. Hopefully I can climb back into contention next week.

Praise for those deserving, prayers for those in need, bacon for all.

I was in VA yesterday and I want to move there, anything is a improvement from NJ:confused3:rotfl2:

Brent I saw a saying on a shirt the other day I thought you might like:confused3

Don't Tiki Me Off:rotfl2:

Correction, it was on a bar sign at the wood engraving place at Busch Gardens

Drats! I KNEW I should have texted you on Sunday. We were at BG from about 2 to 6. How long were you there? You plan on going for Christmas Town?

I've seen that sign! They have some interesting ones in there :lmao: DD loves to hit the gem sluce at the shop around the corner from there. She found some emeralds and rubies this time. :thumbsup2

Evening guys....

If it's not too much to ask, can I have some prayers sent out to a couple of people from work. One is a current co-worker, her Mom's not doing very well, been gone for the past week doing vigils at the hospital, and trying to care for dad at the same time.

Also ran into a former co-worker recently, waved me down from dropping the girls off at school, he was in the area having breakfast. He's battling cancer and been off work fir some time now. Lost a kidney apparently. I knew he had been off sick, but nobody really knew why, he's a very private person. I worked with him for over two years when I started out, and 8 months of midnight-shifts, plus almost another two years at my current store a few years back, golfed and drank with him often too. I didn't even recognize him how much he changed in appearance. They've both been on my mind alot lately. While I complain about a lot of people I work with,., these are two good souls.....

Prayers sent! Life can change quickly.... at any time.

... side, but never seem to have the time to indulge when in Disney...

I did some in the pre-SWMBO days when I had time and money. I'm hauling my gear to the pawn shop tomorrow to get what I can for it. Not much demand for a Fujica STX-1 these days and my lenses aren't compatible with anything new. Makes me  when I think what I have in the 80-200, wide angle, etc.

I think that deserves a hearty AMEN!

Seconded. Elements is really the way to go. You'd have to be pretty advanced to take advantage of a lot of the functionality in the full version of photoshop, Elements will most likely be more than sufficient for you and it is easier to use too.

Sorry, Brent. Prayers for all of them.

We were actually on the same side here, nemesis. Thanks for taking care of the Cowboys.:thumbsup2

:thumbsup2 Glad you liked it. I just spoke to the rest of VA and we are currently accepting applications from New Jersey. I never want to move.

In other news, the Cubs completed their long, steady march to 100 losses yesterday. Thank God for the Astros.

Anyone see the Seas movie? That is S. Florida. The deluge. It rained and rained and rained.... So much for the Sunshine State.
