It's a Stroller Sir, not a Battering Ram!!! NEW PTR LINK POSTED

Sounds like a perfect afternoon! What amazing animals that you were able to enjoy!

A rainy afternoon filled with ice cream sounds like heaven. That peanut butter and chocolate sundae looks AMAZING!

I hope that you enjoy you family weekend!

Glad you're having a nice weekend :)

Isn't it fascinating to watch the gorillas?! I love spending time over there and you two got some nice pictures!

Your ice cream treats look so good! We may have to stop in Beaches and Cream while we're at the YC :)

What a lovely day at the AK. I had no idea that there was a rumor that FOTLK may go away; I'll be really upset because we didn't do any of the shows at AK last week.

Your lunch looks yummy...I ust get back to Yak & Yeti one of these days.

Great pictures of Lily. Your timing was perfect because you really got some interesting shots of her.

What a great day at MK.

OK - confused? :confused3 Are you allergic to peanuts? Is that the reason for the chair?

Oh my Lord that sundae looks fabulous. Wow.
And the gorillas are so amazing. We sat and watched them longer than we spent time doing anything else. The baby is amazing!

And about the lockout. We're going to sit and cry together. Because there's nothing else to do about it :( :furious: :furious:

I love watching the gorillas! I could stand there for hours too, but Keith never lets me stay longer than like 15 mins because he gets bored lol. ah that peanut butter sundae looks amazing!

Another week has passed and I do recall saying something about things slowing down...I lied!

Pants on fire!

Shan went out to a makeup party!

:rotfl: I don't know why, but at first glance (maybe because I read it at 5am near the end of my shift) I thought I saw makeout party! I thought, "Wha...? What the heck are these kids doing these days???"

Forgive me, I can't for the life of me remember what this species is called and someone is still getting their beauty sleep so I can't ask her either!

Oh, that's easy. That would be a mammal.

What?

Neither of us could get over the size of these frogs!

Looks like the ones we would catch at the lake when I was a kid. Those suckers were huge; easily a foot in length. I've never seen them that big since.

Shanleigh thought this bird was beautiful and I loved how the picture turned out with the fish!

So what you're saying is there's something fishy about that bird?
jk
It is a nice shot. :thumbsup2

Then it was off to see these magnificent creatures! We spent over an hour here, neither of us could get enough of them!

Something I'll probably never do. DW had an unfortunate incident at the zoo with a monkey when she was little and now absolutely wants nothing to do with them.

Shanleigh was concerned this one had passed away as she couldn't see the chest rising and falling but all was well, he was sleeping!

animatronic

People are so incredibly rude and think as long as I get my shot that's all that matters!

:sad2: It sure seems like we're developing into a "me" society sometimes.

Isn't this the cutest picture of her...waiting for her lunch we thought!

As a guy I'm legally prohibited from calling anything cute except a female member of my own species.... possibly a small child of either gender (penalties may apply).

After our fill of the gorillas we headed to the buses! It had clouded over so we decided no sense in heading back to the resort to the pool cause it looked like rain.

Ah ha! Still no pool.

Shanleigh thought we should take the bus to the Yacht and Beach Club and have our own little treat at Beaches and Cream so that's what we did!

Sorry, that little 'whine' sound you heard was me. I'm dying to try this place...

We were going to spllit something until Shanleigh decided she just had to have a peanut butter sundae, not the No Way Jose, she thought that would be too big for her to eat on her own!

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

And oh boy, do those treats look amazing!

we had to sit with one seat between us, then she was to hand sanitize and not come near me until she does!

DW is allergic to seafood... so when I have lobster (at the Keg... where else) I make sure I kiss her so her lips puff up like Angelina Jolie. :lmao:

We had such a great day and now the sun was starting to peak out again so we headed to the boat! We decided we would just take it to HS and then the bus from there!

Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Great pictures from the Pangani Trail! Lily is so cute. It's always fun watching the gorillas, especially her. :goodvibes

YUM, that Milky Way sundae looks so good! Well, actually they both do. I really need to get to Beaches and Cream for one of those.

Yay for the Goldeyes!! Bringing the Win back to "Winner"peg.....we had the chance to see a few games this summer and they played great ball! Sadly I think it will be a long winter with no NHL.....sigh
And FYI yes they are enforcing the FastPass times now.....it's all in prep for Disney's new FastPass system.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

thanks for the info!! Hmmmm....thinking we may need to upgrade to those hoppers as my husband isn't too keen on the time restraints of fast passes. He feels like we end up running from one end of the park to the other to catch the return time. that's why we liked the flexibility of returning "whenever" .:headache: Oh well, we will make it work!!:cool1:

Not so sure on a TR...unfortunately my daughter plays on the Jr Varsity volleyball team at CJS so volleyball has once again taken over our evenings and weekends and being back at work in a school makes the first couple of months CRAZY!! We will unfortunately miss one of her tournaments while we are away but she has some great friends who will get her where she needs to be. I am just glad to be going to Disney and if it wasn't for an amazing TA DIS friend who is doing the planning and organizing for me I am not so sure I would pull this off at this short notice. Reservations, flights, dining (free dining!!!:cool1:) park hours....just not enough hours in a day.:faint:

Great update! I love all the pictures of the gorillas. I could stand and watch them for hours--fascinating creatures!

Beaches 'N Cream is always a good way to spend an afternoon. Your milky way sundae looks yummy-licious! I don't really like peanut butter, so I'd have to pass on Shanleigh's choice, but my oldest, Elizabeth would love it!

Great pics of the gorillas, that Lilly is so cute :thumbsup2

Substituting a visit to Beaches 'N Cream for rainy pool time makes perfect sense to me...and looked delicious!!

Okay, I'm all caught up after my trip!!

I love your gorilla pictures! When we were there, there were two of them that I was concerned about, but they were just sleeping, too! We had to move to the outdoor viewing area to see any moving about. I think I got some good video and pictures, though I haven't yet seen either so I'm not sure! I'm still unpacking and we've been back almost a week:crazy2:! I can see how you could spend an hour watching them. They are beautiful and fascinating. I love seeing how much babies and mothers interact just like we do--so similar, and so emotional. Love it.:goodvibes

Hey girl! Just wanted to let you know I started my TR, if you're interested :) It's the top link in my signature!

Those pictures of the gorillas are great. They were so active the day you visited them, and Lily is just too cute! We have a baby gorilla at our local zoo, and I catch myself spending all morning just watching him play and explore. :goodvibes

Good decision on heading to the Yacht Club. Can't go wrong with Beach and Cream, and you ordered my favorite! The Milky Way...it's nearly impossible to finish by yourself, but it's a lot of fun to try. :rotfl:

We sure were lucky to hit at such a great time! Lily is adorable!

Impossible is right, but I sure gave a go at it! It's my favourite sundae EVER! And you're right, you can never go wrong heading over there!

Hey girl! I'm on my way back and getting all caught up!
I'm on my phone so I can't see the pictures really well, I'll come back for those later!
Sounds like a great ak day, how sweet that lily came out to perform for you! I didn't get to see her :(
Mmmmm beaches and cream!

Glad you are home safe and sound!

Too bad you didn't get to see her, she really is something! Oh well, just another excuse to go back (like we need one LOL)

Okay, just let Shan know that we all have unfortunate looking years. I will find a picture of myself and scan it in for you guys just to prove that. She can have a good laugh. Now, mind you this is back in the early 90's when plastic glasses were all the rage.....:crazy2:

LOL isn't that the truth! grade seven was particularily bad for moi!
Shan went to a makeup party? How do I not know about these things?!

It's called Arbonne and it's an American company, only being doing parties in Canada for about 5 years. It's super expensive tho, she didn't buy anything!
Dude, those frogs are HUGE! French chefs would love those......

I would love them too if a French chef prepared them for me....
Beaches and Cream. Not eating a No Way Jose?! That's a travesty. Although the peanut butter sundae does look pretty good.

She was so tossed about it and then after she said that yes, the sundae was delicious but next time whether she was sharing with someone or along, she was ordering the No Way Jose!

Sounds like a perfect afternoon! What amazing animals that you were able to enjoy!

A rainy afternoon filled with ice cream sounds like heaven. That peanut butter and chocolate sundae looks AMAZING!

I hope that you enjoy you family weekend!

Oh it was such a great afternoon! We definitely didn't let a rainy afternoon foil any plans for us. That's the one great thing about Disney, you can always find something to do on a rainy day!

Hope you're enjoying your weekend!

Glad you're having a nice weekend :)

Isn't it fascinating to watch the gorillas?! I love spending time over there and you two got some nice pictures!

Your ice cream treats look so good! We may have to stop in Beaches and Cream while we're at the YC :)

Couldn't agree more Dawn, loved our time there!

Oh I hope you don't get into Beaches and Cream while you're there! Can't wait to hear all about these latest adventures!

What a lovely day at the AK. I had no idea that there was a rumor that FOTLK may go away; I'll be really upset because we didn't do any of the shows at AK last week.

Your lunch looks yummy...I ust get back to Yak & Yeti one of these days.

Oh no, let's keep our fingers crossed that it's simply just a rumour...I am going to be so sad if it's gone!

It is now our go to restaurant at AK. We usually only plan one day at that park so to be able to get in out of the heat, have a great lunch and head back out is fantastic!

Great pictures of Lily. Your timing was perfect because you really got some interesting shots of her.

What a great day at MK.

OK - confused? :confused3 Are you allergic to peanuts? Is that the reason for the chair?

Shanleigh did a great job with the camera that's for sure. It was nice for me just to stand around and enjoy the moments! I

Yes, I have a severe allergy and always carry an epi pen or 2 with me at all times! Not fun, but I've lived with it all my life so it's second nature now to be careful! We can't have peanut products in the house but my girl does loves her peanut products!

It was a great way to spend a large chunk of our day!

Cry is right, I am so bummed! I said to Shanleigh that I guess the money we would have spent on the Jets Channel for the season can go into the Disney account, might as well make the best of a bad situation!

That's hilarious that it was an Arbonne party. I used to be an Arbonne rep before. I agree, pretty expensive stuff. :lmao:

I love watching the gorillas! I could stand there for hours too, but Keith never lets me stay longer than like 15 mins because he gets bored lol. ah that peanut butter sundae looks amazing!

See...that's another reason you guys have to come at the same time as us...Jeff and Keith can do whatever they want which probably means going to the gym and we can have girl time!
Pants on fire!

Guilty!

:rotfl: I don't know why, but at first glance (maybe because I read it at 5am near the end of my shift) I thought I saw makeout party! I thought, "Wha...? What the heck are these kids doing these days???"

....and I'm sure you were thinking "and why is her mother posting about it"

Oh, that's easy. That would be a mammal.

What?

See, I knew someone would know!

Looks like the ones we would catch at the lake when I was a kid. Those suckers were huge; easily a foot in length. I've never seen them that big since.

Just a thought..but...do you think they appeared that big cause you were little? Just a thought:confused3

So what you're saying is there's something fishy about that bird?
jk
It is a nice shot. :thumbsup2

I agree, I think she did great with these pics!

Something I'll probably never do. DW had an unfortunate incident at the zoo with a monkey when she was little and now absolutely wants nothing to do with them.

Aww .... yup, that'll do it!

animatronic

:rotfl:

:sad2: It sure seems like we're developing into a "me" society sometimes.

It becomes more and more apparent to me everyday!

As a guy I'm legally prohibited from calling anything cute except a female member of my own species.... possibly a small child of either gender (penalties may apply).

...except on here....anything goes!

Ah ha! Still no pool.

:rolleyes1

Sorry, that little 'whine' sound you heard was me. I'm dying to try this place...

I completely understand, this is the one and only time whining is permitted!

A girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.

And oh boy, do those treats look amazing!

So yummy!

DW is allergic to seafood... so when I have lobster (at the Keg... where else) I make sure I kiss her so her lips puff up like Angelina Jolie. :lmao:

You're hilarious! Speaking of The Keg, I hope ours opens up again, they've been doing renovations for a month and that's where my girls and I spend celebrating our October birthdays!
Thanks for the chapter! :goodvibes

Welcome!

Great pictures from the Pangani Trail! Lily is so cute. It's always fun watching the gorillas, especially her. :goodvibes

YUM, that Milky Way sundae looks so good! Well, actually they both do. I really need to get to Beaches and Cream for one of those.

You really do....everytime we've gone I think I'm going to try something different but ever since I had the Milky Way Sundae, I'm hooked!

Not so sure on a TR...unfortunately my daughter plays on the Jr Varsity volleyball team at CJS so volleyball has once again taken over our evenings and weekends and being back at work in a school makes the first couple of months CRAZY!! I remember those days well! I hope you guys have an amazing time...which I know you will!!!

So if we're ever there together again, we can meet, you and I can share and the girls could share!
Great pics of the gorillas, that Lilly is so cute :thumbsup2

Substituting a visit to Beaches 'N Cream for rainy pool time makes perfect sense to me...and looked delicious!!
Made perfect sense to us too! I love when we can actually be spontaneous in Disney....for it doesn't happen often :lmao:

Okay, I'm all caught up after my trip!!

Oh, I have to catch up on yours!! I find packing to go so much fun and I love organizing everything, but coming home, not so much!

Hey girl! Just wanted to let you know I started my TR, if you're interested :) It's the top link in my signature!

Thanks Doll....read, commented and subbed!!

That's hilarious that it was an Arbonne party. I used to be an Arbonne rep before. I agree, pretty expensive stuff. :lmao:

:lmao: Too funny! She wanted everything but got nothing! I used to be addicted to Aloette Cosmetics!

This is one of the days that I couldn't wait to tell you about! It was the day we went to Star Wars Weekend. The original plan had been to go on Saturday or Sunday, however, a CM told us we were better off getting here first thing Friday morning! Who am I to argue with a CM.....:confused3
401.jpg

Shanleigh doing her very best Darth impersonation
402.jpg

Not sure how this got out of order but I had to share this shirt, isn't it cute!
403.jpg

I asked Shan to stand between the ST's and the one of the right was heckling her, it was hilarious. She turned around and waved to him and he told her to move it along...priceless!
405.jpg

Decided to grab a shot just of them! I was a little overwhelmed and couldn't quite believe that I was as excited as I was. The original SW's movie came out when I was in grade seven but I'm not a SW nut...but I was right now!
407.jpg

We did as the CM had told us and went straight to the merchandise tent which was sent up kinda beside RnRC (the fence there was opened up)
408.jpg

So much to look at ..... see the grey shirt on the left...we bought that one for Geodoc!
409.jpg

The costumes were amazing and pricey!!!
410.jpg

If only I had $1500
411.jpg

I thought this one was the best!
412.jpg

Shanleigh was contemplating these for her cousins but changed her mind...aren't they cute?
413.jpg

2 more...again, she put them back just in case she found something better! I have taught her well!
415.jpg

One of the pieces of art they had for sale...there were some serious dealers there which we found quite enjoyable to watch!
416.jpg

Storm Trooper toque...or hat for our American friends
417.jpg

R2D2 backpack....trust me, she wanted this! But again, she put it back!
420.jpg

This piece of art was listed at $16 000.00 yikes...and someone was seriously thinking of buying it! He thought we were going to buy it so he was in quite a frenzy...hilarious. I couldn't let him sweat so I told him we had no interest in the piece!
421.jpg

More merchandise. It was at this moment that we noticed people lining up for pictures...with who you ask...we had no clue but figured what they hey, we would line up and get what we got!
427.jpg

Look who we got!!! C3P0 was beyond funny! Him and Shanleigh were having quite the conversation about where we were from. When she replied Canada he said "oh you're from the white, barren wasteland to the north" we cracked up! R2 was trying so hard to get Shanleigh's attention that he was rocking back and forth and making quite a racket...until she leaned over and gave him a kiss!
428.jpg

We made a few purchases for Geodoc who is a SW's fanatic. We got him a teeshirt, Iphone case, name badge and I can't remember what else, but he was thrilled! We headed over to see what other characters were wandering around the Studios and stopped to check out the hoola hoop contest....this lovely lady was hosting!
430.jpg

The stage where we would later see the Hyper Space Hoopla...great, now that song is stuck in my head!
433.jpg

Isn't she precious! Her line was ridiculously long so I just waited to grab her alone!
435.jpg

everyone's favourtie Wookie!!! Again, the line up was very long so I just grabbed the shot and we moved along!
437.jpg

Queen Amidala....the costumes were really amazing!
So much more to share, but the laundry is calling!!!

Not a huge Star Wars fan either but it would be really cool to be there for that. Love that t-shirt.....pew pew.

Speaking of The Keg, I hope ours opens up again, they've been doing renovations for a month and that's where my girls and I spend celebrating our October birthdays!

Which one is doing renos??? Ruby and I and possibly kids and possibly parents and possibly sister and .... let's just say we too are going to the Keg in October... some time. We like the one on Garry... but I think it's the Moray St. one, right? (Sheesh, you'd think I'd know that... since I drive right by it every single freaking day!)

This is one of the days that I couldn't wait to tell you about! It was the day we went to Star Wars Weekend. The original plan had been to go on Saturday or Sunday, however, a CM told us we were better off getting here first thing Friday morning! Who am I to argue with a CM.....:confused3

The force is with them, right?

401.jpg

Shanleigh doing her very best Darth impersonation

Whoa. Don't mess with Shan.
lsvader.gif

:lmao: Love that shirt!

I asked Shan to stand between the ST's and the one of the right was heckling her, it was hilarious. She turned around and waved to him and he told her to move it along...priceless!

:lmao: That's great! I had no idea that they would talk. I thought they were silent like Mickey, et al.

The costumes were amazing and pricey!!!

The Chewie costume is 'only' $650... quite a bit cheaper then the other two. Wonder why?

417.jpg

R2D2 backpack....trust me, she wanted this! But again, she put it back!

Ummm.... it's cute and all (Ha! I used that word!) at SW places... but would you really wear it anywhere else? :confused3

This piece of art was listed at $16 000.00 yikes...and someone was seriously thinking of buying it! He thought we were going to buy it so he was in quite a frenzy...hilarious. I couldn't let him sweat so I told him we had no interest in the piece!

That's not like you Queen. I would've turned to Shan and said in a 'loud' quiet voice, "If I offer $17K I probably won't have to fight for it!"

:lmao: Great experience. And that photo is beyond amazing. The droids look like they just stepped out of the movie. At least from here. How about close up?
R2D2_Big.gif

Isn't she precious! Her line was ridiculously long so I just waited to grab her alone!

Where you were promptly wrestled to the ground by security.

So much more to share, but the laundry is calling!!!

Let the laundry wait! We want more! Thanks for all the great pics and the update Jacquie! :goodvibes
