I know that the first page of this thread says that there are irons/boards in the rooms, but can anyone confirm that they are in LM rooms as well?

I have never had a need for an iron until my upcoming trip for the "princess dresses" lol

At the airport waiting to go home...boo! I will do a full review on the Resorts board later, but just wanted to put in a quick update. We were in LK building 10, 7037. We had a view of Timon, Pumba, and Simba, which was cute. Our room was very close to Nemo pool, Animation Hall, and busses. We had plenty of space for the 5 of us (and that is coming from someone who likes to do a 2 bedroom in a DVC resort!) and all the beds were pretty comfortable. Having 2 bathrooms was a HUGE plus. Only complaint about the room was that the nightly movies were just outside our room and it was pretty loud...kept me from sleeping a couple times (but we do go to bed pretty early sometimes). We enjoyed both the Nemo pool and Cars pool, food at LOF was actually very good. We had no problems with busses, but yes, they were pretty crowded when leaving the parks at night, but that is too be expected. We never waited for more than 10 maybe 15 minutes and that was always when we just saw a bus leave as we approached. Overall, we enjoyed the resort and would stay there again if we were going to stay in a Value, but truthfully I am a Deluxe girl at heart and I am thinking BC for our next family trip. If anyone has questions, I would be happy to answer them.

Just booked AoA LM room for Dec 21st!! We will only be there for one night, our arrival night but we are still super excited!!

Is there a certain building I should be requesting? We will be arriving late after our long drive so I really don't want a long walk from our car to our room.

There is one in the little mermaid rooms :)

I was just coming on to ask the same thing. I booked LM for next spring..my DD is very excited! The only request I made was top floor (Might be quieter as we are early to bed/ ealry to rise folks). Anyone have a good idea of what to request? Thanks!

It looks like the walk is pretty much the same from any of the 3 buildings. The only thing we requested, was to not have a ground floor room.

if you don't want a long walk from car to hotel room - you do not want building 7 - it faces the lake and the courtyard and thus isn't close to any parking.

Buildings 9 (King Triton) and Building 8 (Ariel) are both next to the parking lot on one side.

In terms of walking to the food court and Nemo pool Building 8 is the furthest away but not significantly IMO

I always ask for the top floor because I do think it's quieter and we are early to bed / early to rise too.

Can you make room requests (building, floor, etc...) during online check-in?

no at least not as far as I can tell / have been able to do. I call and put in the request. Sometimes it works others not.

We were there for the first day of LM opening and requested building 7 top floor. Got the top floor of building 8. We checked in around 10:30 am and I think if I had pushed it they would have moved us but honestly we didn't care that much. Turned out to be a good thing - building 7 is Ursula (ick) and building 8 is Ariel :cheer2: I only asked for building 7 because it has nicer views (courtyard or lake) as opposed to buildings 8 and 9 both of which face the parking lot and the courtyard. We faced the parking lot (room 8817) but it really didn't matter to us. We're a pretty laid back family - as long as nobody is smoking or being loud (when we're trying to sleep) we're happy campers.

I would request building 9 Triton area.we were there opening week and it seemed to be the quickest to the bus stops due to cutting through parking lot.we were also on parking lot side which is also quicker.

For those that have stayed in the Cars suites, did you put in a request for a certain building or just take your chances? Just wondering what to do, and if we should request a certain building or floor... :confused3

We originally wanted Nemo but only Cars was available. Now that its been a few months and people have had a chance to look around.... What are your opinions? Stay with Cars or switch to Nemo? Kids love both movies I'm looking for opinions on better theming/immersion/experience.

We stayed in LK but I actually thought the Cars area was definitely the best theme! Plus, I would guess it is quieter because it is away from the main pool and the nightly movies. We played in the Cozy Cone pool one day and it wasn't very busy at all!

I'm only 16 days from AOA... 6 days from being able to make any online requests.

I already have a request that my TA made for me for a King bed in my LM room but now, with all the comments, I wonder if there is a way to request Good Cell and WIFI reception as both are super important to me.

Any suggestions on where to request for these needs?

Has anyone gotten to stay in a LM room with a King bed?

From what I've read (on Dis and elsewhere), people have different experiences with different providers, inside and outside, in different buildings, and on different floors in LM. I think some people have commented it is best near the big blue pool and LOF (but obviously this is not in the LM section). Some people get better reception where others have little to no reception. I hope you can get a room that fulfills your request, but I don't know there is a definite way to find out ahead of time. I could be wrong.

personally I would avoid Nemo like the plague. It's a beautiful section no doubt about it but boy can that pool get noisy!!
