Good luck to all the December "waitees", you will hear it from the Disboards first trust me! I spent time every day looking for my November date on the Disney site, but some nice Dis'er posted it early in the day that the November dates opened and I got that notice before I would have ever found out on the official Disney site!

Totally agree! I was on a tour bus in Juneau (cruising in Alaska) on Labor Day, opened my e-mail and there was the DisBoard message about November being open!!! :furious:

I was texting and trying to e-mail my travel agent as the bus bumped along to ask her to get my Nov reservation... She was my hero - but only because I heard about it HERE!:worship:

Good luck to all the Dec waitees!!:thumbsup2

OMG the waiting gets harder as the release day (should be) nears!! And this morning when I tried to access the site, it said it was down for maintenance. I was like "no no no" there is no down time right now. Not like I got any work done instead because I was too busy checking to see if it had come back up every 30 seconds lol :)

Does anyone know why the dates are hi-lighted for December on the calendar? Does that mean anything or have they been that way for a while? Does the entire month become available at once?

In the past it seems like sometimes they split the month but this year all I've seen are whole months released at once. I will cry if they only release the first part of December lol :)

Thanks for the reply! Another question: since the December and January dates are hi-lighted I have clicked on them trying to make a reservation and of course it says nothing available. But, it also shows nothing in October or November and they all look like the same denial.

When will we know when they are actually available? If the response looks the same for January as it does for October, how will I know that I am not wasting my time on a sold out date?

I am just confused!!

Once dates open, they sell out SUPER fast. If a date you want is reading as "not available" and you know the month has opened then I would call Disney's Dining Line and ask a CM. They can tell you for certain. Sometimes there will be tables for 3 or 4 available but if you want for 2, it won't show availability. So changing your numbers can help too. But if all else fails and you want definite comfirmation, call instead of doing it online.

Plus, being on this thread really helps because people will say what they've found, what's sold out, what the CMs have said, etc. :)

If you check page 1 I had posted there last years information pertaining to Dec 30 & 31 as there were 2 firework shows those evenings if by later in Dec your looking for those dates :)

I just cancelled 5 for Sunday Nov. 11th.

I thought they did not do the dessert party on MVMCP nights but they do so I was able to get Monday night at 8:30 for my family while we are at the Christmas party.

Had it in my "cart" and the darned site wouldn't let me get past the conflicting reservation window to finish it. And now it's gone. That web site is going to drive me nuts...

If a dessert party is held on a MVMCP night, are you allowed to book the dessert party if you do not have tickets to MVMCP? I am sorry if this was asked previously.

From what I've heard, no... You need a party ticket to be in the park after 7:00 pm on party days. :)

I'm afraid not. You'll need a ticket to attend the DP on a party night.

I can't wait.....we chose a regular night (not a MNSSHP night) because we like to be up front on the MNSSHP parade and I've heard the parade viewing is not the best from the dessert party.

Plus I hated to give up so much time on MNSSHP night for a dessert party. I know we're going to enjoy it.....our trip can't get here fast enough ;)

Booked a MVMCP night since I was planning on staying for the 2nd parade anyway and I think the DP will be a nice break if we are staying until midnight

That makes sense :) On our MNSSHP night there is only one parade, if they had two parades and two fireworks that would be perfect and a nice break so you could finish out the party night :)
