Don't count on the Fantasy moving anywhere - they'll keep the two ships where they are.

They will probably experiment a bit more during the summer with the Dream like they did with making 4 and 5 nights instead of 3 and 4.

But NYC did very well and rumor was that they will probably be back. Question might be if they ship out of NY or actually move to NJ, or even Baltimore.

Would love to sail from Baltimore. Just a thirty minute drive for us. Although I would prefer to fly somewhere for more exotic locations.

Last year we were on the Dream when they released the dates for 2013...our cruise was Oct.16-20. Waiting for 2014 so we can bump out our dummy date!

I would like to book a 2014 cruise as well. From reading the posts on this site, it appears that the day opening rates are the best. Do they open everything the same day? Meaning, are the itinearies released earlier and then the rates open up? I know there is likely a mad dash that morning but I'm not exactly sure what ship or where we will want to go for sure. I'm thinking May 2014, is this a good time of year for rates? I would like to book the morning of but don't want to make a rash decision on a particular cruise because I didn't have the opportunity to research it first. Or does everything get published at one time? Thanks in advance and hope this question made sense.

Normally there is information about the destinations prior to booking. Gold and Platinum will get advance opportunity to book NEW itineraries and the rest open at the same time. It is usually best to book your best choice right away and then move it later if need be, the opening day pricing assures you of the highest price you would pay, you can get on board credit is the price were to drop.

Looks like the Eastern and Western itineraries from Port Canaveral are remaining the same.

This was interesting. I was actually looking for information for the CCL Magic (I have a CCL credit I have to use in 2014). But after viewing this I googled Jamaica port informaiton (still looking for the CCL Magic) and came across an interesting post regarding the DCL Wonder for 2014.

I don't see where this was posted already - if I missed it I do apologize for duplicating it.

I started wondering if posting the blog would be against disboards rules, so I removed the link. Below is a copy/paste of the information.

The blog was called: DisneyCruiseLineBlog and the article from July 2012.

Evidence of 2014 Itineraries and a Mystery Ship in Jamaica? Could It Be the Disney Wonder?
Published July 12, 2012. | By Scott Sanders.Falmouth, Jamaica

I just read an interview by Breaking Travel News (BTN) with William Tatham, the Vice President of Cruise Shipping and Marina Operations at The Port Authority of Jamaica. In the article, BTN asked Mr. Tatham about attracting new types of passengers now that the port has increased it’s birthing capacity by 50%. Mr. Tatham’s response directly identified Disney Cruise Line as a potential client which the Port is currently courting.

We have a number of lines that are looking at Jamaica for the first time……

We’ve been courting a number of lines with an interest in Falmouth. We have been inviting cruise companies, such as Disney, down to visit and look at the port.

Jamaica, has long been known as a sun, sand and sea port of call with a party-like atmosphere which has been a deterrent for cruise lines like Disney. In the last few years, the focus has shifted to history and culture. Tatham also noted, in the interview with BTN, that this new approach is attracting an older, more affluent and probably more educated kind of clientele.

2014 and Beyond

At this time Disney has yet to release the much anticipated 2014 – 2015 Itineraries. While reading the BTN interview I headed over to Cruise Jamaica, and clicked on their Port Calendar! I noticed an unusual, mystery vessel, PAJ43-12, on January 14, 2014. This same vessel is referenced 71 times on alternating Tuesdays through May 2016 and the calendar entries were created on May 28, 2012 not long after first hearing about Jamaica’s wooing Disney Cruise Line Executives.

This got me thinking. In the past other port authority websites have revealed hints at unreleased itineraries. My next stop was the neighboring Port Authority of the Cayman Islands to look at their ship calendar.

Indeed, it may look like Grand Cayman is revealing a portion of the 2014 itineraries for not only the Disney Fantasy schedule to alternate every other Monday, but the Disney Wonder which is scheduled to alternate Tuesdays and Wednesdays. With the added information that the Disney Fantasy will call on St. Maarten on alternating Tuesdays I think it is save to say she will continuing her alternating 7-Night Eastern & Western Itineraries in 2014. More than likely, the Disney Dream will keep the same itineraries continuing 3 and 4-Night Bahamian sailings out of Port Canaveral, Florida.

What does this mean for the Disney Magic and Disney Wonder?

Fresh off her expected September 2013 dry dock the Disney Magic will be based out of Miami, Florida sailing 3 and 4-Night Bahamian cruises and 5-Night Western Caribbean Cruises. The 5-Night Western does offer an opportunity for Disney Cruise Line to call on Jamaica, but based on the current itinerary pattern the Tuesdays would not line up with the mystery ship listed on the Falmouth Port Calendar.

Which leaves the Disney Wonder sailing 7-Night Western Caribbean cruises out of Galveston, Texas at the end of 2013 as the likely candidate to call on Falmouth Jamaica January 14, 2014. This is a stretch, but it is not that far fetched when looking at it on paper. The Wonder’s 7-Night Itinerary A at the time does corresponds with the Grand Cayman Port Calendar. Now, lets consider the Tuesdays the mystery ship, PAJ43-12, is scheduled in Falmouth, Jamaica. The Falmouth Port Calendar would still match up assuming the Wonder changes to an 7-Night Western Caribbean Itinerary B where on alternating Tuesdays she would call on Jamaica.
Itinerary A
Day

Saturday Galveston
Sunday Sea
Monday Sea
Tuesday Grand Cayman
Wednesday Costa Maya
Thursday Cozumel
Friday Sea

Itinerary B
Day
Saturday Galveston
Sunday Sea
Monday Sea
Tuesday Jamaica
Wednesday Grand Cayman
Thursday Cozumel/Costa Maya
Friday Sea

There is nothing about Scott's blog that is against DIS board rules!!! He's not a TA & in fact our TA is a Dreams Unlimited TA (Cruise Line board sponsor) & we are even part of the PCC in Dec. There is no competition, so I don't see why he would get blocked (which he is not - there are no asterisks in his links).

Here's the direct link:

Thank you! I wasn't implying there was something wrong - I just wasn't sure.

Thanks to the posts from some of our disboard detectives out there, we have a pretty good idea that in 2014 the Fantasy will again do alternating 7 night cruises, one week western including grand cayman, and the next week eastern including St maarten. Dream will do bahamas, right? The magic and wonder will finish up 2013 one in galveston and one in miami. In 2014 it looks like the magic will do (maybe 7 night long) cruises including grand cayman every other week from jan 2014 through a 5/4/14 sailing. The wonder will do probably 7 night cruises including a stop in grand cayman Jan through a 4/29/14 cruise. These port patterns resume in november and decemebr 2014 for both of these ships.

Anyone find any hints on port schedules where the Magic and wonder will be from May through October 2014? Most ports sites I've tried don't have a port schedule available for viewing online for 2014. Please let there be a 2 week round trip hawaii in there somewhere!!

Well atleast we can all start planning alittle for the months we know about so far. Come on Disney- please tell us something!
