You have lost and the regular Refs have won. I can no longer watch your second rate product and a lot of people feel the same way

Amen! Nose has officially been cut off to spite face.

Albort- I don't know what specifically he is referring to but calls in the Colts/Jags game were horribly bungled.

The problem is that it was not a single game, but all the games. At some point there will be a very serious injury because of the lack of structure/knowledge. There is not enough experience to control the situation and stop the game to keep everyone safe.

""For the record, those hitting and ridiculing these ref's are not helping the situation.

I agree. There have been issues in almost every game played this season. I told DH yesterday if I was a coach or player in the NFL, I'd have absolutely no faith in the officials making a correct call on anything.

I'm honestly not that vested or interested in football, and even I recognize a lot of the calls have been wrong!

The irony is that there are two major things they are arguing about. One is pensions vs. 401ks. Seems an easy fix to me- grandfather in those already in the pension plan and start the new people on 401ks....

But the part that is ironic is that the NFL wants, basically, to be able to 'bench' refs week to week for poor performance. So, you're fighting for the right to bench a really good official who makes an occasional mistake by replacing him with someone who is really, truly, awful?

For all the is good and right in the world please give them any thing they want. Heck, I'll throw in my first born child.

It has become painful!!

If anyone from the NFL reads here, kick the crap outta Michael Vick every chance you get. The team that beats on him the most will have my support for the Superbowl. :rotfl:

Last night's game was a travesty... :headache: Even the announcers couldn't believe what they were seeing from the refs!

Yeah! Hurry up and get them back in there so we can complain about the regular refs!

This. During the Eagles vs. Ravens games last week, there were 2 incomplete passes that were ruled fumbles on the field. This caused huge fights for the ball that were unneeded. This is just one example but there is risk for very serious injury from these inexperienced refs.

Would your first born happen to be a teenager? :rotfl2:

Yeah, Yeah, we get it. That horse has been beaten to death (no pun intended). But let's make no mention of the other NFL players who have been arrested for crimes

Donte Stallworth - Murder
Ray Lewis - Murder
Plaxico Burress - Domestic Disturbance, Shooting (himself)

Just to name a few recent ones.

:thumbsup2 Amen.

FWIW I think the Pats -Ravens game was the best one of the day yesterday. Bad calls, yep. But what a game!

I got fed up with the NFL about 15 years go. I don't understand why the players, who are union, are crossing the ref's picket lines.

I don't follow football, just have to watch because I am outnumbered by males in my house. But the game yesterday with the Saints was terrible. They called back 5 touchdowns the Saints made. If they were not called back the Saints would have won the game.

I wondered that too, not cause of the union thing but because they're the ones being endangered.

We were at a game last weekend. The replacement refs called "illegal formation" four times in a row, twice on us and twice on the other team.

We were joking in the stands that "illegal formation" must have been the only page they studied out of the handbook, since this was a popular call and they seemed to have missed all the other more serious infractions, such as several facemasks (by both teams) and numerous blatant pass interference calls (again by both teams.)

Somebody is going to get seriously hurt. I have seen the players get more brazen because they know they can get away with things like facemasks as the replacement refs have absolutely no idea what they are doing.

10000000% agree. The replacement refs are ridiculous and the "real refs" HAVE won. They have made a mockery of the NFL and are losing people left and right.

SETTLE!!!! Before further damage is done...
