Weight Loss for Orlando

E booked Orlando about 8 weeks ago and 6 weeks ago I'd embarked to loose weight. Just weighed in today and I've lost 5lbs this week bringing me to 12lb's in 6 weeks. It's easier than I thought it would be. I want to loose the 3st I gained on medication. Then look to loose probably another stone to be at my ideal weight for me. I am doing wii fit and walking too. Anyone else loosing weight? Needing a bit of support? Would love to chat to others x

My husband and I both lost weight before our trip this year. I lost 2.5 Stone and he lost just over 3. He was at his target but I still have another 2 stone to go. We were there for 3 weeks from 27th July and had a wonderful time.
My husband put on 11 pounds!!! I put on 5 which was bad enough. My husband has been super motivated since he got back and already lost 6 pounds. I am struggling and only lost a pound. I think once my son is back at school then we can get into our normal routine which is to walk between 5-7 miles most days.
I have to stay that I did feel so much better this year. The heat didn't really bother me atall and all the walking I did before hand really helped and we felt so much better walking around the parks. Hope to be at target before our next trip next July.

Well done...!!! Myself and my wife have been losing weight for our trip in December...,6 stone between us so far and signed up for a triathlon at the end of October....just as well as we have a fair few restaurants booked!!!
 
We have just booked to leave in 8 weeks & I need to lose as much as possible! Not going to be daft tho, but deffo starting lots of walking, help me to prepare for the parks, thought my legs were dropping off 2 days into our first trip!! :rotfl2:
 
Hi BecksHH, I used the walking method to lose weight initially, and lost about 2 to 3lb a week along with eating better. Tried to walk between 4 - 7 miles per day (around 2 hours). Used android cardio trainer app to track this and weighed in twice a week. Hope this helps and good luck!
 


I am not going until Oct 2013 but I have been dieting in preparation for it. I ahve lost 3st 7lbs so far and plan to lose at leats that again before i go.

I started slimming World over a week ago now and had my first weight in on thursday, i lost 3 and a half pounds, i would like to loose at least 3 stone by my vacation in Feb, fingers crossed. x
 
I lost 4 stone, gained 2 back and I'm now in the gym every night trying to get rid of a stone, lol (I was actually a stone underweight before, I took it too far).

It sounds like you're motivated and you've lost nearly a stone, which isn't easy. The hardest part is getting motivated to do it in the first place!

Fab news! Everyone's doing really well.
We have 13 months until we go, and I'd like to lose 1 - 1 1/2 stone before we go.
I am starting (again) tomorrow to get back on track.
I try to do 30-35 mins on the cross trainer 3 times a week.
It's hard working 42.5 hours a week, and we have 2 kids both under 5 so time is limited but I want to go feeling confident with my body.
If I can lose 1 1/2 stone that would be fab as it would give me a little bit of extra weight loss to make up for what I might put on whilst we're there!
There's 7 of us going for 3 weeks so I think they'll be a lot of eating and drinking going on! LOL!

Me!! I want to lose about 2 stone before going, but I have 8 months to do it lol. Going to start running again and eating a lot better, just need to get my asthma sorted first:(
 
Hi all, myself and princessjasmine66 embarked on a weight loss journey last may. Yep we've been at it now over a year. My target was to lose 5 ston. I've now lost 6 stone all but 2 pounds. I'm now sitting in departures in Belfast waiting to board our flight. It's been a long sometimes tough journey to lose so much but I'm so glad I done it.
Princessjsmine66 is also doing really really well. She has started going to the gym with me 3 times a week plus we walk a lot more as well. I won't give details of her weigh cause she is a lady :) but she has done brilliantly and has embraced going to the gym and she works out like a demon when she is there. I'm so proud of her and I know without a doubt she will lose the weight.
 
Fabulous to hear from everyone. I lost 3.5 stone on SW in 2005 but in 2009 I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia and the meds have upped my weight. So now the meds are all sorted I'm focused to loose the weight. Dh has lost 9lbs so far too.

Hoping to reach my stone before a trip to London in 11 days :cool1:
 
I weighed myself this morning, and I'd like to get to target weight before Xmas this year.
I need to lose 10.5 kgs which is 23 lbs!
I think it works out to be 700 gms a week so that's about 1 1/2 lbs a week.
I'll be ok to start with but I know I'm gonna struggle towards the end as I'm trying to reach a target weight that I've not been for a very long time but we'll see how it goes.
I'm feeling very pleased with myself on day one as there are doughnuts and cookies at work today and I have declined!! :cool1:

3lb off losing 3 stone; we leave in 37 days, had hoped to lose 4 stone before holiday but last stone has taken ages (started Jan 2012). Now hope to hit target of 4 stone by end of the year though as long as I don't add too much on:rotfl: Will still be officially 'overweight' but at least I'll have worked my way out of the obese levels.

I'm doing lots of walking too - so will be fighting fit for the Disney campaign!

I started 12 weeks ago and have lost just over 3 stone but still have a way to go until I'm at fighting weight again!:lmao:
 
Well done so far keep up the good work, we go in Feb next year and I need to lose 2stone, joined a gym last week and already lost 2lb just need to keep it up so it would be good to support each other on a very difficult journey.

I'm trying to lose weight too. I've just joined the biggest loser fall challenge on the US side, which sounds great for motivation and support.

I have a lot to lose as i currently weigh approx 243.5lb. I go to Orlando in 18 weeks and so i'm really hoping to see a change. I've lost half a stone so far and plan to really up my diet and exercise tomorrow. Unfortunately life has been getting in the way just recently, but i won't let it hold me back :) xx
