Oh what a horrible trip!!!! Now for something completely different-Final blast ......

Fun update, Pat. I can't believe, however, that you forgot to take pictures at the rides.

Love the pictures on the safari...especially the girafee.

I'm going to guess you went to Epcot.

I tell you - horrible. Either they were so totally blurry or I just could not get it in time. :sad2:

I can usually get one good picture from the safari and lots of pictures of the "african Blur" :rotfl2:

1 guess for EPCOT.

Sounds like your trip started off with a great time at the beach with friends, even the four legged kind. :rotfl:

Cute dogs, I love the picture you got of the one doing it's flying nun impression. :rotfl:

Dr. V, huh? We have a Doctor of Urology with signs up here too, you'll see billboards for him here in the Austin area, his name is Dr. Chopp, and no I'm not kidding. Guess what his first name is??......Richard. :lmao: I couldn't make this stuff up even if I tried! :rotfl2:

Oh the horror of staying off site. :scared: Sounds like a lot of others have stayed at and liked the Hampton Inn, I'll have to keep that in mind incase I need to use them in the future. :)

So glad you were able to avoid the crash, I hate it when your jolted into reality like that. We actually had a wreck exactly like that once, we were the one's hit. Thank goodness we were in a big truck and no one was hurt. Glad you weren't either. :thumbsup2

Hitting a park as soon as you could, who would have thunk it? :thumbsup2 I hope to see you actually relaxed a bit and didn't run commando the whole time you were there.

Can't wait to read more. :cheer2:

Sounds like a great start! You are correct, the tree shot is required.

I can forgive the forgotten food and ride photos since you got the pole dancing dinos. :thumbsup2

The street parties look like fun!

What time did you get to the park? Looked like you had pretty short waits for everything!

Driving was an adventure of sorts. The AK parking lot is so massive and well I will admit a wrong turn was made

...and suddenly you were on a dirt road with animals all around you!

Somehow I have no pictures of my FIRST Time parking at a park beside the area where it was parked. :sad2: Horrible.

That's ok. Parking lots aren't that exciting.

As we pass the monkeys who are not out … again… the driver says he is going to turn on the radio and the song comes on so he gets excited and says oh good the monkeys really like this song.

Was it the Monkees? :confused3

Passing by the area being refurbed for the zebras as we say goodbye to the Little Red storyline.

We'll have to get ready to ignore a new storyline now!

A short wait for EE

:thumbsup2

Now for the horrible….
No ride photo :lmao:

Another ride, another photo? Nope Missed that one too. See Horrible trip. Bad DISer.:rotfl2:

Not much horrible in this horrible trip. Which is fine.

Wow, you got some really great shots. Loved the Tree of Life, view from EE and the sunset pictures the most. Lucky you, you got the fronts of some animals on your safari. I usually just get the rears.

I need a hint for where you're headed next.

I am going to 2nd that Wow and say I love your safari pictures - mine NEVER turn out that great!!!

You are in the park! And parked. Which I agree, is an ordeal in it's own way. You got quite a bit in for a late arrival, nicely done!

Funny, I never really think of sunset pictures at the world, pretty!

Somehow I can't imagine you are headed back to the Hampton for dinner. :rotfl:

And since it's YOU, it's likely more park somewhere. Let's see, you've already eaten dinner so it's either based on park hours, parades or fireworks. And it's only what, 7:30 maybe? Plenty of time to make Wishes or Illuminations. Or go sit on the beach at the Poly, or roam around and peek at GFV construction or...

hmmn.

Read your update last night so I could see pics, but I forget what they were :faint:

OK, seriously, how could you forget the redneck ride photos? Is that possible? See what happens when you drive 8 hours. You get forgetful. :rolleyes1

As far as dinner - I am going to guess WPE WITHOUT the peas! :rotfl:

enjoyed the update, thanks for those sunset pics also, very nice very nice.

im going to guess Magic kingdom...as you had to visit on your first day.

Really impressive!! Going to your second park of the day after driving all that way. You go girl!! Love the AK pics btw. The sunset shot is beautiful! Also, I think you are brave driving around WDW. I think it's very confusing. Finally figured out to stop trying to figure it out and just follow the signs.:moped:

I didn't get the park right, didn't recognize that sign. :worried: But I did get the first ride right!

Ha! I've never noticed those pole-dancing dinosaurs before! :rotfl2:

Nice sunset.

Great pictures! The sunset is really pretty!

BTW - If you think not taking ride pictures makes this a horrible trip, sorry, not gonna buy it. Not that I want anything bad to happen to you, but this TR is not quite living up to the title! ;)

I'm guessing Epcot next - no particular reason. Maybe you'd like a drink?

Hey pat. Checking in:). I just haven't had a lot of dis time lately -new job and life with a 5 year old will do that to you. Going back to catch up

Sounds like your trip started off with a great time at the beach with friends, even the four legged kind. :rotfl:

Beach is always a good time. :thumbsup2

:rotfl2::rotfl2: Maybe they are related??

Oh the horror of staying off site. :scared: Sounds like a lot of others have stayed at and liked the Hampton Inn, I'll have to keep that in mind incase I need to use them in the future. :)

It was good and I have it booked again for Oct. The only thing stopping me would be a great AP rate for POP

So glad you were able to avoid the crash, I hate it when your jolted into reality like that. We actually had a wreck exactly like that once, we were the one's hit. Thank goodness we were in a big truck and no one was hurt. Glad you weren't either. :thumbsup2

It was close but thankfully all bump up were avoided.

Hitting a park as soon as you could, who would have thunk it? :thumbsup2 I hope to see you actually relaxed a bit and didn't run commando the whole time you were there.

Can't wait to read more. :cheer2:

I can't stay away - I could hear the park calling.... all the way across property. :rotfl2:

Sounds like a great start! You are correct, the tree shot is required.

I can forgive the forgotten food and ride photos since you got the pole dancing dinos. :thumbsup2

I am glad I am forgiven. I must have a million shot of the "back " of the tree, several from every trip. :lmao:

Dancing dinos are for Rosie ... who is MIA. :scratchin

The street parties look like fun!

What time did you get to the park? Looked like you had pretty short waits for everything!

The street party was nice and a great change of pace. It was 6:20 when I got there. Stayed until after closing. Last hour is always a nice quiet time.

...and suddenly you were on a dirt road with animals all around you!

Now that would have been AWESOME ... that is until security needed to escort me out. :rotfl2:

That's ok. Parking lots aren't that exciting.

You are right- unless they have strange birds in them. :rolleyes2

Was it the Monkees? :confused3

:lmao:

...
We'll have to get ready to ignore a new storyline now!

Probably ;)

...
:thumbsup2

Not much horrible in this horrible trip. Which is fine.

Short waits always at the end of the day.

Hmmmm I think you are beginning to see the "horrible" in this horrible trip. ;)

Wow, you got some really great shots. Loved the Tree of Life, view from EE and the sunset pictures the most. Lucky you, you got the fronts of some animals on your safari. I usually just get the rears.

I need a hint for where you're headed next.

I get quite a few rears too. I only get lucky with the fronts. :lmao:

See eandesmom's post - she has the hint. ;)

I am going to 2nd that Wow and say I love your safari pictures - mine NEVER turn out that great!!!

party: :welcome: party:

Glad you are enjoying them. Having the sports setting and multiple shot capability really increases my chances of getting a halfwawy decent shot.
