Thank you, Lisa. I keep thinking about our trip on the canoes and it makes me smile. My mom just did NOT want to be on those things. :lmao:

I know. It was freakin hilarious. I'm glad we "shamed" her into it. LOL

She was so cute getting into the canoe!

I made it back this afternoon! The cats survived the trip, although I almost strangled them around Portland. I'll be up there myself in a couple of weeks, once I get settled in we'll try to get in touch, that would be fun.

I snicker at this because I remember wanting to jettison my cat during the drive for the ONLY move more than 5 miles I've ever done with a pet. LOL I'm glad you all made it alive. LOL

Welcome, Debbiedoo! Please forgive me if I call you "debbidoo" as one of my good friends goes by that name......

We are home from a weekend of parties! I am tired. I slept like crap (always do) at the in-law's house. I will be up and on the phone to Disney Dining in just over 7 hours trying for my ADR at Be our Guest for November. Wish me luck! Then I check in on Southwest for my flight to Anaheim on Tuesday. Then I have to do laundry and pack for my little trip. And all the while, the spouse will be home tomorrow since he took the day off for his birthday. Ugh. His 50th. So it's not one I can really ignore. Lucky for me we did his birthday dinner out last weekend, so tomorrow he wants take out Chinese. Gotta love it.

My adorable niece and nephew start Kindergarten tomorrow and my Godson leaves for college on Thursday. It's a busy week in Lisa-Land! LOL

You guys were talking about cats and that reminded me. I used to live up north of Seattle and when I moved back to Cali I had my two dogs, 3 cats and a ferret in my car by myself! My cats were all indoor cats but in the process of moving someone let one of them out and literally the morning we were driving back we had to scour the neighborhood for one. Then the other refused to get in the carrier so we put him in a box with holes and had to tape it shut. Well that lasted about 2 miles and he tore through the box LOL. Needless to say it was a "fun" drive home and I did it all in one straight shot LOL. (bout 13 hours)

How's everyone? Welcome to all the newbies!

Life is just crazy, just dealing with things about my mom. It still doesn't seem like she passed away 3 weeks ago. But I had a great visit with my brothers & sister & nieces & nephews. But Washington to Oklahoma is a VERY LONG DRIVE!! But I do have to say, Southern people have the best attitude & so very polite and welcoming.
I am so very ready for it to be February!!
Deb, I did not know about your Mom. :guilty: I am so terribly sorry to hear about your loss. My heart goes out to you.
My prayers are with you.
Take care and big hugs, Mel:hug:

Ha, that's great about DH, LisaCat! My birthday was in June and what I really wanted for dinner was some good buffalo wings. DH was like REALLY??? :lmao: But a friend got us into Club 33 (omg so excited!) so that's our delayed birthday/early anniversary gift. Next year is the big four-oh for me. Maybe I'll get gourmet buffalo wings. :rotfl:

Nah, I wanna eat at Carthay!!!

The name started when one of my old bosses from years ago started calling me that. Don't mind at all

Hello all!

I was just on FB looking at old Diva trip photos from past years that are on some of your pages, and I am getting so excited to be able to join in this years fun! From the games to the meals and even some drinks, I think that it is going to be a blast! Plus just to be able to go to Disneyland for a 3rd time in a little over 2 and a half years is a dream in itself. So thank you for letting me join in on this years event. I am so grateful.

Wendygirl,

I am so deeply affected by your news. I know how close you are to your Mom. I will be praying for the whole situation, and your family.

My love and the biggest of hugs to you sweetie!:hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug::hug:

Thank you, Auntie Mel. I miss you!

Big hugs, Wendy. I'm so sorry to hear that your mom is going through this.

Thank you, Chris. :flower3:

Good luck. My mom was diagnosed with uterine cancer years ago, she had a complete hysterectomy and ended up not needing the chemo. She's been cancer free for over 10 years now. I hope your mom's results are as good, and will keep thinking happy thoughts for her and your family.

I'm so happy to hear that your mom didn't need chemo and that she has been cancer free for 10 years! This is the kind of news I need to see.

I just have to say CANCER SUCKS!!!!!

WendyLou~ I totally understand where you are coming from. I just dealt with that for the last few years with my mom. Love you seester!

CANCER DOES SUCK, seester! Big hugs to you!

Wendy, so sorry to hear this news, and lots of prayers for a great outcome.

Thank you so much.

Morning ladies!
First of all - Happy Belated Birthday Mel!
:bday:

And a big :welcome: to all the new Divas! You will really enjoy this group

And Wendy - :grouphug: So sorry to hear about your mom! You and our family are in my thoughts and prayers. Please keep us update after her surgery.

Just got back from my Baltic Cruise - wasn't able to check in on the boards. Limited internet on the boat and we were always off on a tour. St. Petersburg is fascinating - so much history and incredible beautiful palaces and cathedrals. We did a 2 1/2 day private tour and our guide was incredible. My mind was reeling with all the names, fact and history. So interesting to see it up close.

Feel in love with Helsinki and Copenhagen! Would definitely go back for an extended visit. Saw the original Little Mermaid statue and both cities had quaint with wonderful cobble stone roads and beautiful waterways. We liked Stockholm - especially the Ice Bar! - but the other cities overshadowed it!

Will try and keep up on the thread now that I am back. Looking forward to my first MouseAdventure with Stacie, Heather & Kandace! And meeting up with the Hunt committee that weekend to plan a wonderful Scavy hunt for you gals next year!

Missed you guys!
